Getting split up from your family is the hardest thing.

Unlike his extended illegal stay in the US, he went through the proper legal process in Canada and was rejected. I’m Canadian and I firmly agree with Trump on his immigration plans. I was worried that illegals might start trying to come here. Glad to see it didn’t work out. Get in line and do it the right fucking way like all my immigrant friends and their families did asshole.

I agree with this law. For safety reasons. I have a few muslim women friends including two females family members that are muslim and they dont cover their faces. They also agree with this law. we all have the right to see the face of whom is around us. I also know one woman that is not muslim but dresses and covers her face like one. Why she does that I and my neighbours dont know why. She does not talk to anyone about it and only dresses that way when she goes out of the neighbourhood. What are her intentions to do such thing? She is portuguese does not speak arabic only portuguese and broken inglish. When we ask her why she does that we are told to mind our business. We feel that it is our business because she is very strange and like i said before she only dresses that way when she goes out of the area that she lives in. What is she up too? And like her how many more is out there doing this and why? Whthout any offence to the muslim people SAFETY should come first to everyone.

I can understand how these countries allow women to cover their face like that? \n\nYou don't have a right to do whatever you want, it is limited with rights of other people, in this case my right to be able to identify a person who was participating in/witnessing a crime or an accident or whatever. If you are on public grounds you have no right to conceal your identity and covering face does exactly that. \n\nI personally think their religion is oppressing women and that this is not really a choice for them as they fear hell, or their family abandoning them or worse, but regardless of that, their religious freedom stops where my, and rights of other people begin.

As a Muslim living in Canada, I don't see the harm in a woman wanting to cover herself, I wear the head scarf myself, but in my opinions I don't feel the need to cover myself to prove I am more modest or a better Muslim.  I believe everyone has free will and has the right in this Country to dress the way that the law has allowed them to.  No one has the right to tell someone how to dress, not even the Prime Minister himself.  Telling a woman what she can and cannot wear is oppression.  I truly believe that if Muslims want to live in Western civilization, then they should refrain from covering their faces because the face is our identity and People have the right to know who you are and what your face looks like.  You cannot vote with a covered face, you cannot cover your face in a passport photo, you cannot cover your face for your driver's licence etc... I am a Muslim woman and I say this.  It truly is a shame how the media is portraying Islam and the Muslim people as a whole, and it truly is a shame that Canadians have become so ignorant.  I see more ignorance and racism in Canada than I do in America and 9/11 took place in America.  If you want to know about Islam, learn about Islam from a Muslim, a Library, google Islam, or offer to spend a few days with a Muslim family for research to get a better understanding of Islam and Muslims.  As a Muslim myself I can understand the hatred and the ignorance because we act according to how we were taught and raised, and yes we have many extremists claiming to follow the Islamic faith.  These extremists are not only hurting Western civilization, but they are also hurting the peaceful moderate Muslims that value their rights and freedoms as Canadians.  I do not appreciate ISIS hijacking my religion, I do not appreciate Hamas or Hezballah hijacking my Religion because I am a very accepting person and a very open minded Muslim and to be defined by media as a problem or a terrorist is very hurtful and a shame.

Interesting tidbit. My neighbors across from my apartment are Muslims. Normal, non extremist Muslims. They have 3 children. A girl around 9 and two boys around 4 and 7. It was heart-breaking to watch the poor daughter wear long sleeve cotton shirts, long cotton leggings, and a heavy dress over that in addition to a headscarf in 100+ heat this last summer. No AC in our apartments and her family is dressing her like it's 60 degrees outside with heavy fabrics and no airflow. She hasn't even hit puberty, yet only her brothers were able to run around in tshirts and shorts enjoying themselves. She always just sat around looking bored watching the other kids play.

The thing is, this is the western culture. Why are you covering yourself, then wonder why people stare? You're bringing a religion from another culture upon us, I remember when a Muslim family wanted a picture of a Pig off an Italian butcher shop in little Italy? Like really?

If a black family were to move next door to me I would have no problem with inviting them to my home and welcoming them to the community, that is the way that it would be in any Newfoundland community. Newfoundlanders were never racist and never will be. If you don't believe that, ask the residents of the burin peninsula community's that helped ALL od the war heros on the Truxton and Pollocks when their destroyers went ashore in St. Lawrence and Lawn, Nfld.during the second world war

One thing that blacks have gotten away from is their relationship with God! We've forgotten that with God we over came a lot of the weapons that society had forged against us. We forgot how to come together as a people and the churches were our launching points into the systematically racist and discriminatatory system that was set in place to disenfranchise blacks as a people. It was through God that the impossible became possible and the strength to endure was our faith and trust in God. Now with the freedoms that were gained blacks became a distracted people. We lost our eye on the prize and the same system that we fought against has turned blacks against one another. The black family is virtually non-existent because we have forgotten our roles to one another. No God, no family, no leaders equals complete anarchy. The black culture has been high jacked and blacks have done nothing about it. We have to get back to what worked for us in the past and doing so will stop a lot of the problems we have today. Islam is the only truth, so yes believers deserve more of a say on the law. There are many prostitutes + women who dress immodestly in my area too, my family, I and all my friends dislike it.
