Canada is VERY VERY merit based don't get it twisted. It took my parents years to get a visa to leave Nigeria and come here, Canada is not some paradise, it's a country chances are if you can't get legal citizenship in the states, you'd be VERY lucky to get it Canada. Basically your chances are little to none.

it doesn't matter where he is from what matters is that he put his family through all of this because he dodnt want to do the legal process. i come from immigrants and they did the process (not cutting corners) and they were welcomed citizens and still are. some illegal immigrants dont care for their families or they would have started the process a long time ago.

Understand wanting a better life but this is what you put your family thru when you go into a country that you do not have citizenship and just expect to stay. You should try to do things ahead of time or enter the country legally and go from there. You wouldn't have had to flee to Canada if you hadn't snuck into the United States. This central american guy is no real refugee. He is just a law breaker who violated immigration laws so he could bypass the legal system and those who actually go through the process. People should focus on building stable governments and economies in their own countries. You can't just expect the western world to continue to take in millions from failing countries. So he sneaks into the US and stays for 15 years illegally. And didn't pick up any English in that time? Or didn't bother. Then he decides to illegally enter Canada. Unlike his extended illegal stay in the US, he went through the proper legal process in Canada and was rejected.
