That has boosted the Canadian economy until Trudue came to power and destroyed every thing been built. \n\nWe are fearful our future generation what kind of Canada they will get after 10 to 20 years from now. I hope the Liberals will be out and new PM will do some real work on to stop these useless immigration, international students who mostly come here live not for study as they give up after a year or so due to high cost of fees..

The only reason I can think of any Canadian wanting to move to the States is for a warm winter. Many do for 6 months at a time, but have to stop at some point because the insurance becomes too expensive. Our culture in Canada is very different. Disappointing you rushed over a respondent's feeling about the abortion issue in the US as it is completely on point. Health care costs are one thing (actually huge) but when you're forced to carry a fetus to term against your will (would any man?) that alone is why no woman would put her hand up to head to your neck of the woods - for her own sake and for that of her daughter's and any other female for that matter (Canadians tend to care about other people not just themselves). If you want to know why someone WOULD leave Canada for the US, it would likely be for family; or warmer weather...but at this point you guys are on fire and family can come visit us here. We are blessed here for so many reasons (fresh water, beautiful country, health care, freedom to choose, freedom to be gay or straight or whatever you are) and while my mom was American and I have cousins and even a nephew in Florida, and I used to love visiting my grandparents in Vermont and New Jersey as a kid, the whole landscape of the US has changed to one of in your face racism, hatred against women, the LGBTQ and everyone who is not caucasian, not to mention the whole gun business. McDonald's began franchising one of the brothers became so disgusted with the lack of regulation in the US on what is considered 'food' he moved to Canada and relaunched the chain. While the restaurant named remains the same and a handful of the main burgers the two companies are completely separate and have nothing to do with one another.\n\n2. Gov work, nurses, doctors, teachers, etc have a regulated minimum wage of 7.25 are you ....... kidding me??? 3. The US has no paid maternity leave u have the baby take 2 weeks off unpaid and back work 4. Server's make 2.13 + tips an hour ...... 5. The federal and state government recommend homes in the city have sewage plumbing BUT it is not required. There are literally houses in the southern states with the toilets flushing right into the front or backyard. 6. Perfectly fine to pay a man more than a woman in the US because a woman isnt a man. 7. And if a woman literally becomes a man by changing 'her' name + physically in appearance via surgery/hormones/whatever she still won't get paid the same as a man because she still not viewed as a man: no gender rights. 8. Where's the healthcare when the US has the highest taxes in the world??? 9. Classist. 10. No regulated education. Literally there is no rules on teaching the students these days are learning absolutely nothing. There's no such thing as regulating education in the US anymore 11. The country is over 33 trillion dollars in debt..... It's never going to fix that.\n\nI could go on and on for another hundred reasons before I'd have to Google something else to add to the list but these are only a few of the reasons why any Canadian who knows anything about the US, would never willfully move south of the boarder. Most Canadians going anywhere in the states would see the massive difference coming from a place were everyone is treated like a person to a place where putting people down is so baked into the foundations that you no longer notice. I am a Canadian like most people on this post. I truly believe that most people are inherently good including our neighbours to the south but man oh man Wake up down there and start liking eachother a lot more.

My opinion as a Canadian with no first hand life experience in the states but personally know plenty of people who do and follow many Americans on social media.\n\nI like to look at both sides of the story when I don’t personally know any better. First thing is when it comes to health care, Canadians use only the cost as an argument but never the quality. The only time I will ever use the government funded healthcare is for a broken bone. Any other issues my knowledge and experience makes me stay far and clear away from the hospitals. However I was talking with a retired business man who spends winter in Florida and he said he had a health issue while there, was referred to a certain doctor by a friend, made an appointment within a few days, not a yearlong waitlist, and with one visit had his issues fixed. Paid the bill and was done with it. Not a story of take this for a while then come back, come back to get referred to a specialist, wait a few months for the specialist, get an appointment 6 months later, and after surgery you feel only slightly better because in your mind you should be better. I do believe Canadian healthcare is low quality and sadly designed for the government to make money. American healthcare is private and needs to offer good quality services in order to succeed.\n\n\nNext subject is violence. Everyone I know and follow in the states have never had any major acts of violence towards them. I believe just like Canada, some areas are more prone to violence but since the states have 10x more people, they have 10x more violent spots which makes it seem worse. Rural Canada and rural United States seems to me very similar in the way people treat each other. \n\n\nI wouldn’t be scared to move there if that’s what would be best. Doubt it’ll happen because I enjoy having the amount of unpopulated area to go riding atvs, snowmobiles, and whatever else. Seems like the states have less area that everyone can freely enjoy but I could be wrong

I wish Canada did more R&D. We have the talent and brains to be innovative, yet so many of us go work in the oil & natural gas sector because it pays handsomely.\nAlso to live in the most scenic provinces like BC and Ontario is crazy expensive. We moved from AB to BC in 2009 which my parents bought their house for $550,000 that's situated 40km East of Vancouver, and today their house is valued at 1.4 million... almost 3 times the original purchase price in just over a decade. Now an adult, my wife and I were forced to move back to Alberta and leave our families because we simply cannot afford to rent there nor ever have an honest shot at saving enough money to buy our own place. It is what it is and I'm sure it's a common theme that's not only exclusive to Canada, but man, it does sucks. I'm happy for any immigrants to move here and call Canada their home too, but many are loaded with money and purchase numerous properties just to then rent it out at an absurd rate because they can. It's fueling the problem worst and making it unfair for the born & raised Canadians.

Weather-wise, Australia beats Canada — maternity leave-wise, Canada beats Australia hands down. Australia is pretty isolated compared to Canada …mostly because Canada is next to the USA. Australia is overpriced in terms of groceries etc. and the extreme weather in Canada makes life expensive. Many Canadians move to the US for a reason. Australia is terrible with family reunions and visas for parents etc. There is a reason over 1 million Aussies prefer to live and work elsewhere — including myself — I was fortunate enough to get my PR in the US.

I’m a Brit who had just returned from a holiday in Mexico. My hotel TEAMING with Americans and Canadians and the difference between them both was IMMENSE! Now I’m not saying this about all Americans at all. Just the majority that were at my hotel. Man those people were rude. Rude, Arrogant, entitled, obnoxious and loud. The way they spoke to staff, other guests and locals was awful. No manners, clicking their fingers, cutting lines, being aggressive, blaming others for their lack of understanding. Men stomping around being rude about other peoples nationalities. Chanting and being very egotistical. I’ve never experienced anything like it.\nThe Canadians though. The absolute polar opposite. So polite, so kind, so respectful, so friendly. I spoke to so many about life and experiences and all were just lovely. Obviously I know that not all Americans are that way, nor are all Canadians lovely. The difference I saw in those 10days day was huge. I’d much rather go to Canada than America now.

The average American has a higher median income and higher disposable income with lower than the average Canadian. Oh man! I never tried Canadian tap water, but I did try tap water from Finland. From a fresh water lake, apparently. That stuff was phenomenal.\nIn my country - Poland - it's kind of hit and miss. The price of living is going up all over the world, the last 6yrs has become very pricey in all western countries. Hospitals are overrun in major cities in Canada that's very true, but not in smaller locations. Boring (are you crazy ? lolol) I completely disagree. You just don't know where to go lol ... however everything you do in Canada cost money ?.
