God what a mess. I can see why Trumps putting Americans first- and it’s changing the game on immigration - so sad these people feel they need to leave their home country as they have no hope because their useless leaders are corrupt and dangerous - the UN and all these other big organisations have failed dismally and only serve the well paid bureaucrats who prop them up…. Look at the faces of those desperate people- heartbreaking. But America shouldn’t have to be their only solution.

I earned my permanent resident status back in 2001 and joined US ARMY during war in terror and served for 8 years. While serving, I was deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan in the middle of hot zones, dodging grim reaper's radar for many, many times. When I finally earned my US citizenship through military, I seamlessly transitioned into law enforcement career in New York for past 10 years, which I encountered with many illegal criminals with rap sheets- which some makes you think why they are still wondering in the street instead of locked up in the jail, having their freedom taken away. What is funny is that many of these illegal criminals have such an entitled mindset that they are deserve to be here in US without permit do whatever they want and enjoying these unbelievable benefits that these sanctuary city/state provides that we, us citizens don't even get- and we are paying for it with our hard earned money. I think I earned my citizenship with blood and sweat, same goes to many immigrant hopefuls that came to U.S with true American dream. It is time to take back our country and I 100% support with Trump's decision on this.

As an Pakistani American, Indians in the US do very well. The ones coming to the US are professionals mostly. The Indian community does not always mingle though. But in reality waiting 250 days for an interview is ridiculous. I sure hope this does not have something to d with incoming administration and racist dog whistles.

I am also an immigrant since here in 1991 I was also running away from violence and from the fact that in Mexico in the 70s, 80s and 90s they were killing homosexuals who could not be in the closet like others who could hide their homosexuality. I was able to immigrate because I had a lot of courage, a lot of fear and most of all, helplessness against the country that gave me life, Mexico, where society and presidents always had some double standards, it is unheard of. I have managed to be part of this beautiful nation, but we cannot demand that this nation give us something where our own country was denied us dignity, to be treated as first class citizens like us in my country and we could not be given that. But well, I hope that these immigrants find the light very soon and that they talk about how badly their own country is treating them, that they say what is happening. Because that is what they should fine or do something so that their own country's government gives them a better life!???

Mexico knows this now but it’s not stronger than the US but if the US no longer cooperates with Mexico in Mexico, no longer cooperates with the US well it’s gonna be pretty sad not to mention the amazing history they have Like when Mexico along with Brazil defended the US when they were crippled by Japan and when Mexico went to help liberate during the Nazi invasion in Austria, Mexico has a great history of warfare and defending this country as well. As an American we are very relieved, here in NYC about 500,000-750,000 people are here illegally (that we know about) and they take jobs, resources, and money from actual citizens. For example they cut our schools budget to fund hotel rooms for these people. Gave them debit cards, free phones, and a whole lot more. I hope Trump does it and removes all of them, for America's sake. I say this as a 25 year old former democrat. Mass migration is a detriment to any society. They keep talking about losing a huge part of the workforce with mass deportations. So Americans aren’t looking for work? I’ve worked for Amazon for 3 and a half years now. I transferred from Va back home to ny last October. In va Americans are being hired. In ny Amazon is literally hiring nothing but Haitians. We hire a hundred and twenty people every year between July and January for prime and peek. I promise you without any iota of exaggeration, every last new hire is Haitian. I know of plenty of ppl who have applied to no avail. They really need to say if you’re American don’t apply. They get tax credits for hiring them. And because of this they do little to no work because they know nothing will happen to them. So all of the work falls on us . Out of the 120 new hires this year and last year 115 are under 27. They try to alienate us , intimidate us,and are extremely rude to anyone who isn’t Haitian. These are young people who are on straight gang time. I’m a black man telling you this and I’m from the street. It took me 6 years to finally make 20 dollars an hr, they come right over making the same as me while I’m working harder to accommodate their lack of productivity and at the same time hope I don’t lose my job for standing up to their rudeness and intimidation tactics. But the media will have ppl convinced that these are hard working meek and humble ppl just trying to make a better life for them and their families. I’m 45 years old and every year of my life we have always had a block party every summers end . For the last three years none. Are we talking about a mass deportation of people who came into this country illegally? The funding and the resources are the problems. Trump is not going to be able to deport as many as he proposes. If some of them have been here and started an American-born family, then they should get special consideration, but if it's decided they get deported it's really not the fault of the government, it solely rests on the shoulders of those who come in our country and break our laws. If the idea is to become an American Citizen breaking the law is not the first thing to do to swear allegiance. It's confusing. I voted for Harris and despise Trump, however, I'm hoping Repubs do exactly what they've been wanting to do for YEARS, which is to finish their fence/wall along the ENTIRE border, deport ALL illegal/undocumented migrants, many of them Trump supporters, and shut about the stupid border already!!
