I know pharmacists, teachers, business graduates, and other professional women who are stuck at home. Schools have unreliable times, somedays school starts at 8:00 other days at 8:45, the children are let out at even worse times; somedays 11:30, other days 12:30, and sometimes 13:15. The kindergartens will call with every kind of excuse to have your child picked up early, and, of course, shortage of staff. And there is the asnwer to the problem! Educators are not paid enough and no one wants to become one I don't see how this will get any better in the future. It may be a good place if you are skilled and don't have a family, if you do, Germany is not a place for you.

In face, Canada is good to raise children, but when they grow up and you are free on yourself, it is better to change to live in other countries. South america and Southeast asia are among good choices. Selling your house will stop paying the ever rising government tax and strata fee but gives you a more affordable housing while plenty left for buying medical insurance abroad. Saving of 35-45% tax can easily buy a descent plan. Canada is great but the cost of living is far more greater! In long run, Canada will become more occupied by Indians and other third world countries immigrants who like to raise large family to maximize their welfare and send children to school for free. The employers like cheap labour and bigger consumer size so they support Treadue. The foreign students in my company ridiculously work more than study. Bureaucratic inefficiency is also prevailing in many governmental bodies, federal and provincial alike. Large private companies are not much better.

I am the child of immigrants. We were taught that Canada is the promised land. What by beloved country has become is heart breaking. You are younger than I am, so you have more options. Using the housing market as a cash flow business needs to be stopped. Limit everyone to owning only 2 properties at the most and force landlords to sell and find a real job. I love it how the video conveniently omits the reason why the housing supply is so inadequately low in Canada - real-estate developers and rental agencies lobbying all levels of government to keep zoning laws draconian and to make new construction increadibly difficult. For example, an enormous proportion of Toronto's urban area is still zoned exclusively for single-family housing. The landlords, who are currently extracting record profits from regular people with no sign of decline, are more than happy to shift the blame towards immigrants, and it saddens me to see that respectable media outlets like the Guardian are becoming a part of it.

Came here as a student, graduated from engineering 8 years ago and now working in the aerospace sector. I can't even become a Canadian citizen until Quebec lets me to do so, and I got big dreams such as flying for the military here. For me a Québécois, we missed the boat in 1995. Too bad if you don’t like it but we got screwed by newly arrived immigrants back then and we are being drowned by immigrants now. The difference is that you too in the ROC are being drowned. I am a Quebec nationalist, it’s in my guts. My family has roots going back to New France. Canada has always been an imposition for us just as we to the First Nations I guess. That’s unfortunately neither here nor there at this point in history and I apologize for it. They have practically killed our nation from the inside in order to discredit the social democratic and socialist tendencies that did so much to develop this nation. These are the ones who would literally step on their grandmothers neck to attain higher status in life. Since for me this place is where I feel the most a part of and have understood long ago that the ROC had done everything to negate us as a people a nation and the dream of an independent country with close ties to the ROC is and probably never was in the cards, I have started hoping for some kind of political union with mother France since it has become painfully clear that Canada as a strong bicultural self respecting truly independent country is a bygone notion. From Poland. Arrived yo Canada at the end of 2020. I am nearing my 4th year here, in a small village. I arrived with my 6-year-old daughter to begin my writing career. Now, 40% of my daughter's childhood has been spent here and I I go to court soon to fight for my child to be returned home to me. After nearly one year- a year of financial hardship because I have to travel without a driver's license and without a group of friends to drive me- I have my very first hearing with a judge in Youth Court in a matter that has no foundation to begin with, follows no rule of law, and acts arbitrarily. My child whom I homeschooled to the praise of the provincial ministry of education and was following a classical liberal arts education path that had her outpacing students in the province was entrusted to the care of a Child Services company (that has a record of placements that have resulted in child murders). My child's life has been irrevocably upset to say the least. NO ONE LEAVING CANADA GIVES THIS STORY AS A RESON FOR QUITTING THIS COUNTRY. I guess no Canadians care about their children like I do my precious gift from God. True, O come from the former Soviet Union where Marshal Law (Emergency Measures Act) were commonplace. I lived through two in Canada in 4 years: one Federal, and one through Provincial Youth Court where I await my turn to see a judge after my daughter was removed from my care. People do not know they have no biological ownership of their children, because I guess few Canadians value their children to care about their own laws. But these laws also apply to immigrants too. What money was taken from me during the move and resettlement, the government takes by creating more expenses for me than I could ever imagine or budget for. Emotionally, I am a wreck. Rather than commencing my writing career, I have been seeking low-income lawyers, reading the provincial law on Youth Protection, filing complaints within a circular system (the watchdog is part of the system not outside of it) and preparing all evidence to prove I have done nothing wrong [just like in communist rule]. Have you ever given any thought to the difficulties in proving your innocence? \nNO ONESEEMS AWARE OF THIS DETERENT TO BRINGING CHILDREN TO CANADA. NO ONE. IT IS THE ONLY ONE I COULD NOT PLAN FOR. All other complaints like the economy, or the weather, or inflation I have survived. But taking away my child, my reason to settle in Canada for a life of freedom for her, my legacy, was unthinkable. People ask me in this small village where is my daughter. Their rosy cheeks become snow white when I tell them. Canadians here are unaware and scared like cattle in a thunder storm. Many are addicted to welfare payments, cannabis, prescription drugs, and television. They all seem to be waiting in a pen of fear. Unless someone reads it, no help will come for my daughter. (Because she is a dual citizen, the local Polish Ambassador will not step in - another drawback for having a Canadian passport). I see alot of doom and gloom. But Canada is still one of the best countries to live in. Alot of Millenials and Gen Z think that becuase we are born in this country we are entitled to certain standards of living without sacrifice. You have to live below your means. You have to be willing to relocate to a part of Canada that may be looked down upon by others. You have to be willing to start at the ground floor of a company and work your way up ecrimimentally even if you\n just start out by cleaning toilets. Immigrants come to Canada without a dime to their name yet become millionaires through hardwork amd determination. You have to find a partner that is willing to sacifice too and stick with them through the ups and downs. Love and challenge your children to be better. Live below you means and invest the difference. You have to be patient this will not come over night but in decades and if you continually build little by little you will suceed. You can do it. Hi! I'm an American with the 'dream' of immigrating to Canada for many years. Got permanent residency and am working in Montreal for the summer to try it out and.... really shocked about the high taxes vs. the quality of the roads for example :/ What social benefits are Canadians really getting? Although the pace of life and culture is nice, it is hard to make less money here as a teacher than I could be in the US, and with some bullsh*t to put up with (pardon my language). And although I feel safe here, I can't believe how car thefts are so brazen and common. I might just become a seasonal visitor after all.

These people fled poor economic conditions - not persecution - into Canada in exchange for being paid a monthly stipend of $2,000 a month, free rent, free healthcare, free internet, free phone, and free education. They receive these benefits and are forbidden from working legally. Thus, they are not expected to work.\n\nMost people support immigrants that want to move into a country to work, want to learn the language, the culture, and want to become citizens in the future. None of these are expected to, and roughly half of these otherwise illegal immigrants are Chinese men ages 19 to 30.

Isn't it already super restrictive and not easy to get into the country for the immigrants? Only highly educated, young people with rich parents are welcomed lol. As an immigrant, I've been here since I was 14, and now I'm 29. I embrace the culture and strive to become a true Canadian, respecting our diversity regardless of race. However, I've noticed that some other immigrants, whether legal or illegal, gather in large groups—sometimes 200 people or more—playing loud music in their own languages and dancing as if they were still in their home country. This is a problem.

Western welfare and assistance programs used to be support systems for needy citizens. But in last 20 years its become a buffet feeding frenzy for the rest of the world to just get into those nations any way they can, legal or not, to get in on it as its an upgrade to the standards of where they come from. But we cant support it anymore. Government policies have not adapted to the changing world. Only citizens should have access to this and legal vetted immigrants. Any illegal immigrants or refugee claimants should stay where they are until their applications are approved. We are stretched beyond our limits.

Couple that with a low-interest rate policy post GFC and leave rates for that low for that long and you are going to witness an epic housing crisis. But not just that - these new immigrants become fodder of cheap labor that pushes out our very own Canadian citizens from these positions, with the more marginalized ones ending up on the streets. \n \nThere is a Motel 6 in my neighborhood that has been taken over by the Canadian government and converted to temporary housing for new immigrants. All paid for by Canadian taxpayers. Why isn't our own government using these funds to fix the housing crisis, or help it's own citizens with more affordable housing but instead they continue to exacerbate this problem by letting a huge wave of immigrants that overwhelms the Canadian infrastructure. Because some groups take over entire neighborhoods and buy up all the properties and become slumlords lowering housing quality while increasing housing costs at the same time. \n\nSome immigrants like to take over all the seats in coffee shops without buying anything leaving paying customers with nowhere to sit. \n\nThey have drastically changed the etiquette of this once great country.

The countries of European nations are being flooded with foreigners, overrunning these nations. Places like England, Germany, France, Netherlands, etc are ethnic wellsprings. England should be for the English, Japan for the Japanese, Germany for the Germans, etc. If the ruling regime actually cared about respecting different ethnicities/cultures and their existence, if they cared about actual diversity, they'd be opposed to immigration. But instead they are destroying European nations - and places like Japan and South Korea are also in the early stages of this. It's evil. \nAnd as for why Canadians are getting upset is because the ethnic compositions of Canada are changing so fast. So fast. It is becoming like a different country. Why are they doing this to us? It would feel more comfortable if the homelands of European nations were not under this same existential threat, but they are. It's alarming. This is horrific.
