Canada sucks. Lived here my whole life. 34 years near Toronto. Here's a list of other stuff not mentioned.\n1) terrible school system. Basically go private or subject your kids to liberal ideology and creative learning which puts math and literacy scores at a 20 year low.\n2) terrible Healthcare system. You can wait in line for 1 hour at a walk in clinic. 6 hours at emergency. There's hardly any doctors working.\n3) terrible transit. The public transit is outdated. The roads are always busy with 3 year long construction projects. They actively reduce road lanes to add in bicycle lanes, that are only uses half the year because no one rides a bicycle in -10 degree C. But yeah, we'll still plow the bike lane with tax payer $.\n4) increase in crime. More recent development but lets say it started picking up during the lockdowns in 2020. A lot of immigrants that don't give a f about the law. They don't give a f about the police. They get out on bail the next day. They do crime in broad daylight. It's insane. I don't feel safe. Plus, it's hard to own firearms in canada. You can't protect yourself.\n5) no cultural cohesion. The culture sucks. Bland, boring, fake.\n\nHonestly, stay away from Canada. The only thing it had going for it was it polite and safe. But now it's a crime spree out there. Last I heard, 55 car jacking happen everyday.

However, social programs are missing or drug users not willing to take up a program for various reasons. Maybe through proper fact checking, explain how India has over 200 ethnic and linguistic communities and why only one group is province, ethnic/attitude is prominent in Canada.  \n\nAlso do explain that there were many that were here in late 1800’s along with Chinese and Irish making railroads dragged over by British, the same British who invaded lands of established native nations people in Canada. Canada is very beautiful country honestly they tried! However I feel the pain of African travelers truly It's sad. All the blame must go to for sooo called African politicians/leaders. They're the problem! GOD blessed the continent but there is no caring leaders their greed is leading Africans to live their country. May be it is not well illustrated in the video but it is hard to understand what the problem is. It appears that the fear of change is an issue. But change is inevitable. Canada is a multicultural society and that is protected by the constitution. So nothing can be more Canadian than bringing one's own culture here while adhering and abiding by the Canadian value system. Born and raised in toronto, I live in Las Vegas. I am able to achieve the American dream in two years with an average salary( single income) , protect myself and my family with 2nd amendment right. 30yr fixed mortgage rate at 3.0% on a brand new house what Canadians would consider a big home at 2400 sq foot home. Foods cheaper , fuel cheaper, Nike is cheaper lol and most importantly No snow. \n\nIf I carried the same amount of salary to Mississauga I would completely have the total opposite. Canada is like a war zone. Then expect anything that you may don't expect. I have disabled for life with severe peripheral neuropathy which is not acceptable at disability program. I was under heavy spoof call attack which was coming from foreign countries. Many of my friends died because of these kind of cyber attack. But most people are not aware of that. Protected economy is the only way to save Canada's economy as ferocious foreign companies were out there to get the market and economy out of the hand of Canadians. This is world war 3 I think. Imposing force closure and its consequences was another example of world war 3 arena. Just arms has changed.

Correction if you have a PAL you can own restricted firearms i.e. handguns in Canada. I think gun control doesnt help canadians because most criminals obtain them illegally from the US. This lack of access to health care is a new thing. I agree with your assessment. It now seems lonelier in Toronto. \n\nCanada used to be different because anyone with a good job could afford at least a condo, but life became unaffordable not just for immigrants, but for everyone unless you are in your 50s-60s and own a home. \n\nI have friends working double jobs supporting family back home in other countries, but for some of them the family back home sound like they are doing better than them and own a home. It’s like they are sacrificing their life to be in poverty or full of hardships and their families get to go out for dinners and drinks with friends. Not them. Getting into debt and getting bad credit can mean not getting an apartment. \n\nThe birth rate is going down because it is expensive to have kids and income isn’t enough to match with living costs. Programs end and change often. \n\nIn Canada definitely bargain and shop around for good phone plans. one idea is to get a pay as you go until “Black Friday” then every year or two when your good offer expires there will be many others. It’s the time with the best deals saving almost half. For instance, I have 50 gigs for $25 for two years from a large provider. Telephone companies are the one place where people must bargain and even ask for better deals as a must.\n\nThe people you see living in big houses, will have kids that can’t afford the same. This is because prices keep rising. The system protects the very rich, but will also drain the middle class often within 1-2 generations. Yet how is this possible in a city that is always pushing out lower income people when wealthier people desire the area. \n\nIn Toronto, every time you move you have to take what is available and that might mean moving an hour away from everyone you know. Plus, if you live too far from your work you will have no time to socialize for most the week due to travel time. \n\nI think those who grew up in Toronto do have a certain culture of acceptance with others from many cultures, because your friends at school were from all over. But with new migrants sometimes it isn’t until the second generation that their social circles get diverse. This can be isolating and it’s even isolating as those from Toronto eventually leave dreaming of staying in one spot and not forced to move constantly when a landlord investor sells every house you move into. \n\n\nToronto really needs to protect affordability of housing for at least some housing in every section so that people can save money if they live in the city, and not have to leave their communities and be far from their friends and family. \n\notherwise eventually people get sick of the hustle and it’s too tiring to travel 1+ hrs each way to visit someone during Monday to Friday. \n\n20 years ago any professional could at least buy a condo. Not today. There is too much competition now and investors are allowed to buy up all the most affordable housing that once was a pathway to owning a home. \n\nRich policy makers got greedy and destroyed canada and hopefully diversity in leadership will help make Canada better. But they perhaps people knew to Canada can reject this lonely structure and help us rebuild Toronto into an amazing place. \n\nWe need to make sure everyone can afford housing with 30% of their income. For some nations Canada turned into nightmare by spoof call attack. Many people died or killed. Bad neighborhood experience which destroyed my health for life mostly because of spoof call attack. Bad policing which killed many innocent people. Woke laws and culture which marginalized men who are driving force of society. Very weird working experience. Work for yourself or get enslaved by another employer that's why people would love to work for government. Housing prices skyrocketing in big cities and there is no foreseeable future for its remedy. Cold weather for six month of year and at the end COVID force closure killed many of people and hospitalization was so bad. Anywhere there was no hospitalization people life were saved. There is no open market like many countries which are backed by government to buy goods in reasonable price for low income people. Very restricted laws for driver license. Life in Canada is far from normal kills you or make you disable for life without getting you paid. Now I disabled for couple of years and I'm outside of Canada and just my family saved my life because I couldn't work because of disability due to spoof call attack which cause severe peripheral neuropathy. Even there is no any protocol for this illness to get cured and forced me to see many MDs and cost me lots of money. Sadly, Canada is not longer the country it used to be! \nAffordability is a huge factor, plus the difficulty to enter the job force or find a good job (not only in academia in every field) which so necessary to pay for housing, food etc\nBut also the social and cultural changes has been huge in the past decade. \nAs we see the decline in USA, we can see Canada is following closely and in some areas, we are doing worse.\n20+ years ago Canada have quality of life, that has dropped drastically in every area health services, schools, security, transportation, housing, infrastructure etc. although we pay higher taxes than other countries we do not have the same services.\nLaws restricting liberties and going to the extreme on protecting and impossing other ideologes erosion of freedom of speech, freedom of conscience, freedom of religion etc. \nOn top all that is the huge public debt, lack of transparency, abuse in the spending of many politicians, and corruption.\nAll together has turned living in Canada less disarable for many immigrants and also nationals. You guys are from the okanagan ?? We (hubby and i) have considered moving from Canada as well. We are baptist and very very few churches preach the same things we preach here.. so can understand how you feel. Right now is probably the worst time to come here. With global recession and post-pandemic hardship, everyone is feeling the pinch. Small businesses are closing down as they could not repay back the relief loans given by the government during the pandemic. Trudeau’s policy of immigration through the educational stream and admitting so many refugees from Syria and Ukraine have caused massive rent increase - too many people chasing after lower real estate supply. Because people are feeling the pinch, crimes are up and homelessness has become a serious issue. But, here are the (long-term) advantages of living here, vs. The Philippines:\n- free healthcare - no matter how rich you are back home, wealth can be depleted if a major illness strikes;\n- free education for your kids up to highschool and opportunity for your kids to enter worldclass universities after highschool;\n- government programs that actually work - Worker rights are upheld, doleouts when you lose your job, 12-month mat/paternity leave, doleout/govt match when you save for yr kid’s university educ, tax rebates for whatever you save for retirement, retirement income even if you never held a job, infrastructures are maintained, transparency and stability of political system; \n- safer environment - yes, greater crimes lately, but still one of the safest places to live. I live in greater Toronto, and sometimes we forget to lock our door at night or leave a bicycle outside and nothing happens;\n- commitment to the environment - the country adheres to protecting the envt. You can drink water from the faucet. Strict laws on recycling and waste disposal. Greenbelt protection on forest and conservation park areas, even in the cities. Canada also has the world’s biggest water supply...in today’s global climate change, were decades away from water wars;\n- a beautiful country with friendly, humble and relaxed people who observe work-life balance

My parents left Canada with me as a child. In 2014 I moved back to Vancouver. I bought 3 houses in Alberta where homes are cheaper. It was a struggle to survive in Canada. In Alberta the government fines you for not having shoveled the snow on your sidewalk in -40 weather when no one is walking around anyway. The people who rented my houses were all using drugs and a nightmare and protected by laws. The rents in Vancouver are astronomical and shopping very expensive. I sold it all and left in 2021 and now travel the world and make YouTube videos and living the dream and saving a ton of money.

Liberal PM Cretian was elected in 1993. He ended the Federal housing programs, and shifted the responsibility for building social housing to the provinces. Of course the provinces did nothing in response. The municipal governments put in a lot of regulation, I suppose to protect the environment, and NIMBY. Home builders only built profitable homes, which were tiny condos in towers. The risks and rewards were pushed onto the private sector, meaning only the rich could participate in the overheated housing market. Then the PRC decided to start a global plague via a badly managed bioweapons lab, causing massive inflation across the planet. The problem is complex, because humans are too stupid to manage the planet properly. Canada is just a symptom of human overpopulation and idiocy.

These clowns just want protection just in case their home country goes south. Many come from country that doesn’t allow dual citizenship. Way to go to show loyalty to Canada.

I'm a Brit who has lived here 13 years and my advice to any Brit thinking of moving here is not to. If you can live in a nice county and you have a decent job you are better off in the UK. There is a lot of decline in urban areas here, tweaking drug addicts and tent encampments the likes the UK has NEVER seen. It's incredibly expensive to rent if you want to live anywhere remotely interesting. The infrastructure is so bad, unless you have a vehicle or lots of money to keep flying, you will feel incredibly isolated here. Brits are lucky to have such a great network of public transport and close proximity to Europe and all the cheap flights to get you around there. The work life balance is not as good as the UK. Most jobs here will start you on 2 weeks a year and only increase as your service grows. So after 5 years of service you will get 3 weeks and so on. Don't expect 5 weeks vacation until you have put 20 years in with most jobs. Canada is boring, it really is and so are most Canadians who also seem to have no idea what a sense of humour is. I have found new immigrants to be the friendliest, especially those from China, India, Vietnam and the Philippines. Now to the wokeness of the place, oh gosh, it's so bad. The Alberta premier has just announced very sensible and much needed gender reforms which 95% of Canadians agree with. These reforms will protect young gay kids mostly. The left have completely lost their mind over this. Women here are in genuine fear of speaking out regarding their privacy and rights to single sex spaces and sports. In the UK , this is slowly improving I believe. I'm putting things in place so I can leave. I hope things improve once the liberal government are gone but it will take many years to get this country back on track.

Maybe because Canada cannot protect its citizens. Recently a Canadian from Indian Punjab was murdered by India because of his political affiliation. Severely undermines Canada as an option.

And expensive regulation to fight global warming even though that would transform Canada into a major superpower. And forcing developers to protect natural areas rather than build anything (except golf courses and luxury homes) even though Canada has more undeveloped land than any other country on earth. And the situation that was allowed to develop to ridiculous heights where ordinary people have been forced to feel shame for just existing while special groups get special treatment. Everyone knows what I am talking about, it’s shredding Canada yet speaking it out loud would be banned from any discussion forum. Perhaps Canada’s biggest problem is they were known as valuing politeness and everybody getting along and they let every bully and crook abuse them and they didn’t fight for fair treatment. When ordinary Canadians can get angry and fight back their situation will improve rapidly.

You have to work from the bottom up that includes investing in education in Canada and getting credentialed In Canada\n\nFrom my observation, they may need professionals, and they may release the skids with your professional degree and professional experience, overseas, and more importantly, with your youth, so that you can work and contribute to the economy, and then finding an employer to sponsor you at a very low wage\nLower than you can survive on require you to have to get a second job\n\nFrom what I hear from the infrastructure and the business opportunities are limited in Canada\n\nEstablish those raised and educated their often for times, find themselves having to choose to mow to the United States for about 5 to 10 years in order to earn a living and then they go back to Canada\n\nThis is not unlike Canadians, especially in the prairies, wanting to travel east, and having to drop down to drive-through the United States, and then re-enter Canada, because the highways aren’t available or to take a flight from one American city to the next near the border because the cost of flights are a lot less\n\nDoes not have the infrastructure or the business opportunities to support a growing economy yet they need to accommodate immigrants because their own population is not reproducing effectively\n\nLooks like a rock and a hard place

I went to live in Canada in 1997 and left in 1998. Other than a very mediocre quality of life, I found Canada dark and gray! High cost of living, low wages, high cost of education and all this to live under -14°C! I went to live in France, and Canada is not in the heels! In Paris I lived in a beautiful city, free and high quality health care, got one bachelor and three master degrees without debts, a contract of work protected with strong labor laws, 4 weeks paid holiday a year, travelled all over Europe and had a mild life canadians won't ever have!

I'm Australian and moved to Canada on a WH. My standard of living was lower, I was paid less for the same job I worked in Australia, the benefits that Canadian workers get aren't as generous as in Australia and there isn't as much protection for workers. All in all a disappointing move and I ended up high tailing it back to Australia well before my Visa even expired This was before Covid though so not sure if things have gotten better or worse.

Not possible. Israel left no room for compromise. We are on the brink of a regional war in the middle-east... and Canada doesn't recognize Palestine because it is a Zionist government. Islam has a low standing in pro-Zionists countries. Why is that? We need to investigate.
