We keep treating the symptoms when we really need to start finding solutions to the root causes. To the south, it is all America's fault. I’m Canadian and married to an American, and of the two countries we’ve lived in, we’ve decided to plant our roots and raise our kids in Canada. For a lot of the reasons you two hit on, and for some you didn’t. Education, opportunities, cleanliness, etc. I hated waking up in the morning and watching people dumpster diving next to my apartment and thinking, I can’t let my kids go out and play on the little 10x10 piece of grass in front of my parking lot. I felt like my financial situation was limited to minimum wage even though inflation and cost of living was skyrocketing. Americans think they’ve got the best of everything until they travel to other parts of the world.

Full time and part time employees are entitled to 4 weeks vacation here in Australia, I don’t know anyone who only gets 4 tho, most get 5 to 6. Also, theres Medicare for all permanent residents and citizens; 18 weeks maternity leave— 3 months paid. There are 12 public holidays and just Far Less Crime. When people ask me if I miss “home”… I share that I miss good and easy access to stuff… but friends can visit me here, and I’ll pay extra for the things I enjoy to be mailed. The only major thing is as a black girl getting my hair done… lordddd ?. \n\nI’ve lived in Cambodia, Thailand, Spain and Gibraltar traveling solo. The more I traveled safer I felt despite never feeling too unsafe in the states when I lived there, I did when I traveled across country at times. It took me some time to feel into this new level of “ahhhhh this is what safety feels like!! Mom, come feel this! U can go for a walk at 2am!”\n\nWould never move back, but I’m grateful my roots are from there.

Its a bit niche but phone bills in Canada are pretty awful. I don't know if it has gotten better on the east coast, but on the west coast pays 60$+ per month for jack-all on data on a bare minimum smartphone plan. I live in Europe now and I pay 12$ for 5Gb of data and free texts and calls across Europe (also no data roaming within the EU, which should be a thing between USA and Canada imo). These kind of mobile plans are starting to take root in the USA but are still not available in Canada, which is a major L in my books.

India has the best weather and has the best because there is a desert, snow, beaches, hills, rivers etc but it's is not being kept clean and used for it's advantage.

The root problem isn't the greed of these schools in Canada. We need to adk why so many people, especially minorities desperately leave India in the first place. Corruption, poverty, pollution, discrimination, and nowadays Hindu fanatics. Solve these problems, and these kids don't need to escape India.

Why not make India a better country by changing how your country is now. You young people are the catalyst for change. Coming here to my country doesn't change the deep rooted problem of how India operates. Your being here displaces those of us that were born here to compete for affordable housing and job's. While Canada does have issues (like any other country in the world) What you outline highlights the privileged life you are living. You are correct in pointing out that the health care system is flawed, it is not perfect by all means but AT LEAST YOU ARE GETTING HEALTH CARE. Take the stats for example (I had the privilege of going to the hospital in Texas) My bill came to 3000 for a twisted ankle. They charged me over 500 dollars just for walking into the hospital. I'm not knocking that stats, but if you do not have money, you're fucked for health care. Instead of waiting 8 hours to see a doctor, you're now on Web MD trying to diagnose yourself. You are bitching about high taxes, how do you think Schools, Police and fire services, Emergency service hospitals etc etc etc get paid? through wishes and hope? You are again welcome to go anywhere else and enjoy whatever bs they have going they might have low taxes in other parts of the world but your going to have to pay for certain services you are taking for granted here. As Cost of living, if you live in Toronto or BC yes the cost of living is high, but at the same time, the average household income is high as well. I'm sorry minimum wage in most of Canada is roughly 15 dollars an hour, and the average incoming for most provinces is over 100k. I'm not sure what else to say on that subject :D As for things to do, seriously, stop living under a rock. Please go and travel Canada, to name a few things you can travel to Niagara, Go to Banff, Visit hot springs or enjoy any of our national parks. Not to mention all the multicultural festivals that take place. I guess what I'm trying to say here is, Canada is flawed and has its issues. However, It's a beautiful country and is a gem of a place to put roots down. I'm sorry you guys didn't feel that way.

I was born and raised in Canada and still live here (my roots are in Jamaica and Tobago). The last 5-10 years has made me so sad to see what’s happened to what was once such a great country. Rent and housing costs are out of control… car prices… food… utility bills… this government (led by Trudeau) has almost completely eliminated the middle class. Now there’s only the rich and the poor. And let’s not even talk about the issues with forced vaccination and stripping citizens of their charter rights… I never experienced any real racism and have never thought of Canada as a racist country. I still don’t. It’s just this woke agenda that is being pushed recently that is dividing everyone. Also very sad to see. I used to think that I would retire here but now I’m not so sure…

I am Dominican and American citizen. This is SO REAL! We lose so much to win income and things. But LONELINESS is a great price to pay. Here you will lose your identity, your roots, your life , to become maybe more financially stable. I love America, with all my heart, but I realize it is a totally different world. It is designed to work, work, work, and forget about family, friends, relationships. We will get more toys, more things, and more order and organization, less open corruption, but will also have to settle for less life in community, settle for materialism and individualism. Settle for a lifeless life. Loneliness is a very high price for a better car, or bigger house or opportunities. And still...I.love America. One thing I just know on my own is that the life we are living today is a risky and also a game, you can win or lux. Me my self I also use the root it was not easy. But with God all things are possible for me.

I'm from Canada ?? originally and I speak English, no French. I'm from Winnipeg. Manitoba. I live in Huntsville, Alabama the rocket city!!! ?, although I visit my family that still lives in Winnipeg which is my brother among others and friends I grew up with. I never forget my roots from the great white north!!! I actually miss the ❄️ and my family. My daughters and grandchildren live in Miami, Florida but after all these years Canada still hits the heart for me. I must be feeling it as I'm getting up there more. You never forget where you come from.
