We need services, housing, infrastructure. All this privatization and neoliberal (not the same as liberal) approaches which remove the system social safety net this is the outcome. Hating on immigrants is not where our minds need to go, looking at many of the issues outlined in this video is an important perspective to consider. It is policy that needs rethinking. And if you think Pierre or the Conservatives have the answers, unfortunately they do not, Pierre jusr jumps on the populist far right bandwagon, without talking frankly about some of the issues outlined in the video or in my commentary. We need new bold solutions. Practical immigration policies can play a part, but without addressing housing affordability as well as stagnant polarized wages and a lack of opportunities and upward mobility for millennials and immigrants, nothing will change.

Properties owners stop working and start relying on the rental incomes and as we know the post covid19 economic situations of the whole world is so bad so with those rental incomes Canadians properties owners couldn't make their living anymore the way they where living comfortably before covid19 so they start blackmailing their government and blaming new immigrants. sometimes people rent out their properties and living in the shelters near to their properties. Only solution of their problems is either sale their expensive properties or start working hard not only rely on the rental incomes no matter what you are engineers lawyers doctors realtors etc. .....work work and work hard friends.

The solution is to build more housing. That includes easing up zoning requirements so that it is legal to build more densely, and subsidizing construction costs for developers.

We need to learn how to build new liveable cities and expand existing ones. And we need to do so fast. Suburbs and car-centric urban development is not the solution.

A country goes through ups and downs all the time. We are in a bad place, but scapegoating immigrants isn't the solution. Isn't everyone an immigrant in Canada??

Look, governments know the falling birth trajectory and they that is caused by modernity-convenience, comfort, all powered by technology. Plus they've allowed the market to monopolise housing, which depends on profit...Growth is powered by human economic activity, for the moment anyway. The short term solution is to bring in millions of immigrants to keep the show on the road. This rapidly changes the indigenous culture. The indigenous people, particularly poor working class mostly white, get resentful and angry. That is where are now.

Dumping Trudeau and Labor isn't the sole solution to the problem, but is going to be a necessary first step.

MINISTRY OF IMMIGRATION IS LAZY - YUP I SAID IT, THEY'RE LAZY - as if NO ONE IS WORKING LOGICALLY. These problems are not issues this year or last year - it's been a problem for years. Why didn't they correct it? Minister of Immigration, Mr. Miller - what are you doing??? NO SOLUTION AT ALL? Step down and let someone step in and DO THE JOB! Sighs.

Most Canadians are tolerant to immigration. However, we are fed up with the large number of immigrants the Federal government keeps bringing in. We have a massive housing shortage and they still increase immigration despite the shortage. The Federal Liberals believe housing speculators are the problem, so they put in a vacant home tax to prevent it, but how do you enforce this?\nThe real solution is to roll back immigration to 250,000 new Canadians a year until the housing shortage is somewhat taken care of.

Everybody cannot have a better life you have to start asking some of these people what are they doing to solve the problems in their own country running and fleeing is not a solution

I found solutions that would help this problem and in theiry it could work but with all the hate and curroption on bothsides it would never be looked at

This reckless irresponsible government has sold the wrong Canadian dream to many already in the country. I hope the next government finds a solution and make some drastic changes to the immigration policies.

3 solutions to the immigration problem: \n\n1. Curb or lessen immigration \n2. Build more infrastructure (e.g ghettos, projects or new apartments) for new immigrants\n3. Build more cities or expand existing ones

In order for there to be an honest and effective conversation about potential solutions, people and the media MUST stop equating anti-immigration with racism or xenophobia. Otherwise it just shuts down conversations. Immigration is an economic lever like any other, and there are moments to turn it on and off.

we need to put an end to unfettered asylum seekers, migrants, and immigration as a whole. We need to focus more on our own needs then those from other countries (not really our problem). Trudeau has caused a fucking huge problem in this country and honestly the only solution is deportation.

The only solution is to leave! Even when the Conservative Party takes over the office, it’ll take YEARS to reverse what the stupid liberals did ???

It's a false statement saying there's not enough housing, considering the fact that there is more unoccupied housing in Toronto then unhoused people living in the street. Why? Because of predatorial housing capitalists corporations flipping condos left and right with only their profits in mind. \n\nIt's always been this over and over, nothing new on the horizon. Our bourgeois government creates a crisis, the far-right uses the immigrants as a scapegoat and then guilible working class victims of this crisis looking for a solution fall for their racist rhetoric.\n\nWe do not lack housing, we lack AFFORDABLE housing!\n\nImmigrants are NOT your enemies, the rich capitalists who created this crisis are!

We’re tired of being told mass migration is the solution to all of society’s ills (often it’s the problem)!

Lots of immigrants ( special students gave $30 billion to Canada education system) and cheap labour for business, helped Canada, not to get in recession after covid. But, it is a temporary solution. . ....Canada is next Italy or Greece...

I agree that immigration should be regulated based on need or requirement. But let me ask this, are Canadians willing to work in the fields and do all blue-collar jobs for $8/hour? I don't know about Canada, but the problem in the US is that most Americans don't want to do these tasks for low pay so businesses rely on immigrant workers. If businesses pay a higher salary they won't be competitive with foreign companies. There is no easy solution to this. At least Canada doesn't have a green card lottery (which is 100% useless) system but a skilled-based immigration.

For decades, the real estate developers have argued that there’s not enough supply of housing. There is not enough supply. But why and what kind of supply do we need? Recently the mayor of Burnaby pointed out that he grew up in a co-op. I also live in a co-op, the federal government stop building these in the 1980s. The mayors argument was that the number of co-ops kept prices down and provided affordable, and very excellent housing. There’s something to this. None of the solutions the government has offered have done anything but make real estate, developers and foreign investors, and also domestic investors richer.what is needed is a massive co-op building program that starts tomorrow. Something in the trillion dollar range. This will provide excellent housing for all kinds of levels of income. But it won’t make developers really rich, or real estate investors.

*The best solution is to allow only single, female immigrants between the ages of 18 and 30....* ?

This isn’t totally accurate, and comparing Canada to the US is like comparing apples to oranges, a more apt comparison would be Canada and Australia (similar government structure, similar population, similar economy) unlike the us that has 8x our population and is the richest country in the world lol. \n\nThat being said the problems with the Canadian economy are pretty straightforward imo, for housing it’s simple, the Canadian government has invested heavily into the real estate market with things like the Canada pension plan being largely invested into the CPP. There is also a huge amount of people who have banked their retirement on the value of their home, for the most part these are blue collar workers. These two things combined have created a huge problem for the government, it basically has to choose between fixing the worsening housing crisis and in the process wipe out the savings and retirement accounts of millions of Canadians or let the problem get worse and worse until something boils over. This problem is also being compounded by the increasing number of international students being misled into coming here, they are being promised world class education but are receiving bogus diplomas from what are essentially sham colleges (thanks Ford). \n\nWhen looking at the competition in the country it’s a more complicated problem than people like to admit, in order to not become a client state of the US we have to place stronger protections on our industries and media, this insures that Canadian money stays within the Canadian market but has the drawback of discouraging competition. Now if you ask me the solution to this is to nationalize large industries that are being controlled by large oligopolies who unnecessarily manipulate the price of goods like Bell, Rogers, Loblaws, air Canada, petrol Canada, etc. By taking control of these industries the government could have better control of the price of goods and should result in better prices for consumers in turn we’re leaving some of the pressure placed on us by the cost of living crisis. This worked wonders for alcohol which in Ontario brings in 1.5 billion in revenue for the government each year, imagine how much internet, electricity, phone service and produce could bring in.

Crazy the amount of homeless in all the parks that where for children are now being use as camp sites. Children or seniors can't enjoy a nice time now.\nUnemployment refusing to help residents n new people that are student or don't got documents get full financial support but those that live here can't. A solution needs to be made. The amount if crimes going up. People have no respect for canadian rules. Fireworks going on when they shouldn't be. Jobs where u only see one culture but yet it's a multi culture ? country?\nNothing went wrong n it needs to be fix. To many sleep during covid19. No jobs that pay decent salary so u can offered a rent that over a pay cheque of 2500 to 3500$ crazy

Amazing it took this long to figure it out. El Chapo was running drugs down thru Canada for decades. Heroin to Seattle and Cocaine to Chicago. The Jamaicans, Dominicans, and Puerto Ricans ran drugs to the East Coast through Canada for years. Just before weed was legalized, everyone knew the best weed was coming from british columbia.. The government is letting this continue because the blacks are trying to breed out whites in America. That's why black guys keep impregnating white girls and not bothering to father the kids. This has been a strategy by black leaders since the 1980's. White people are letting hispanics flood the country to maintain a european majority. Since, Spain and spanish people are european. What appears to be a problem is actually a solution.

Shut off the money. There are solutions for sealing borders that worked overseas quite well, though with pretty awful outcomes for folks trying to cross.
|
| 2024-08-05 | 0 |
Quickest solution: annex canada.
|
| 2024-08-05 | 0 |
Easy solution. Deploy 1st Armored Division to the border, tanks online. Infantry dug in with artillery and attack helicopter support. Mine the border. If the illegals still dont understand then everyone squeeze triggers at the same time for 1 minute. I bet they get it after that.

do they not realize that they will not be a part of the solution?? how do they think this will increase their lives just becuse they come here ...what is here that they deem a better location ..if they are the same person??

The customer was wrong for being racist and making rude remarks. But the delivery driver should have kept the change on him especially if the customer pressed cash in the app. Not sure what the best solution should have been in this situation. Maybe the delivery driver should have driven back to the store and came back with change?

I’m so tired of this shit! Most of us Americans are severely struggling and can’t get help from the systems we pay into! The only solution is arrest and deport, don’t allow illegal aliens to receive government assistance etc. \nThis has to stop!

Hey dummy, are you hoping your video will go viral and will get millions of hits, or more?! That’s why you’re putting all this information out there?! This is just going to be circulated amongst people trying to get in this country illegally! Smart move there bud! \nLet me ask you, what is the reason you’re putting all this negative shit out there? How about some positive shit! I live in the city too, and I have all my 69 years, and I really could use some positive shit at this point!\nHow about some “solution“ rather than all this negative hyper bole, even if it’s true!!

Id say that this was to be expected. If the southern border could be crossed then so could the northern. One solution is if urban folks actually got outside and realized how much empty space there really is out there. Authorities can't patrol it all and the wall is a tool that makes patrol feasible.
|

Solution. Stop being a Sanctuary City and allowing illegals to stay ! Not so Hard right?
|
| 2024-08-04 | 0 |
The solution is simple, just automatically return everyone to their countries unless they prove they come from a country at war or in a civil war. This will discourage the onslaught and dial down the numbers.\n\nPeople wanting to immigrate for economic reason are welcome, if they knock on the door and ask permission first. Fence jumpers need to be put on a transport back home.

The dems are doing as much damage as they can before the election. Their hope is to brake America so they can rush in with all kinds of socialistic solutions. If this isn't true, why are the democrats letting it happen? Not one word about any of this from the white house.

It amazes me how NYC has so many problems but zero solutions to fix them
|
| 2024-08-04 | 1 |
Reminder that a bipartisan bill exists sitting in Congress that has real solutions to the border crisis - hiring immigration judges, more CBP and ICE agents, supporting partner nations in the refugee pathways, and investing in long term static deterrents.
|
| 2024-08-04 | 0 |
Solution is easy, we have the most powerful military on the planet, the lack of desire to solve it by the government is problem. Infact they like it, they think it's a good thing.\nThe immigration problem could be solved over night, start securing the borders, and punish anyone helping migrants, cut off all benefits, and start deporting people. It wouldn't be beyond the capability of this country to do so. Make it suck for people coming here, and they'll leave, if they don't leave peacefully, then hey're not guest and are therefore hostile invaders and declare them enemy combatants. This won't happen because the US government hates the US people.
|

5.56 rounds are a cheap solution
|
| 2024-08-04 | 0 |
Very simple solution-cut off all the free benefits!
|
| 2024-08-04 | 0 |
I doubt Canada gives 2 shits about American problems.\n\n\nYour solution trading security for immigration help is good,,.if you have a deader that wants to do it.
|
| 2024-08-04 | 0 |
Yep! That is undeniably the best welfare package being offered to migrants, making NYC the best relocation destination plan for any and everyone looking for a solution to their immediate needs.
|
| 2024-08-04 | 0 |
The solution is NOT securing the borders. The solution is shutting off the liberal social benefits they get for coming here. Also make it illegal to hire them with steep penalties if caught doing so. Of course, we'll have to begin deporting on a mass scale as some estimates are as high as 30 million.
|

Well, I'd like to do the right thing and outline what's happening here but I don't yet have set-for-life money and yt/g***le algos are scanning comments... All I can say is, the solution in America has only ever been to be rich. Be able to afford to move. If you live in a nice area that is middle class... its days are numbered. Prepare to have to move. That's all. Good luck.
