I don't know much about this guy. But why is he unpopular in Canada to the point that he resigned from office ? He looks and sounds so smart and he is working damn well for his country. I love him !

Go Canada, let him have it. Know that most Americans don’t support his actions. More than half of us DID NOT vote for him, and those that did likely had no idea what tariffs were or certainly didn’t understand how they work. Our country is getting closer to isolationism, and it isn't good if we want inflation and prices to go down. History has shown us what happened to our country when we were isolated, and it brought economic devastation throughout the country. Let this sink in, tariffs / taxes are debt on the tax payers back not the government's, government take taxes, reciprocal tariffs are just other taxes paid by other businesses in other countries to main government. The only way for the tax payer to prosper is by not to playing in the game by being more self sufficient, which obviously government do not like as it is untaxable. For all the American's siding with Canada. Did you know Canada has never fulfilled its obligation to Nato. they only pay 1% of its gdp. They are supposed to pat 2%. I used to think that the idea that Trump is a Russian asset was just a conspiracy theory. I am not sure of that now as how else to you explain why Trump is doing everything he can to undermine the USA? Why else would you cause a breech between the US and our allies Canada and Mexico? I am an American, but my Ancestors were French Canadians who immigrated to Montpelier, Vermont at the turn of the 20th century.
