Back in the late 1990s I made serious plans to emigrate to Canada. My country seemed to me a black endless hole from politics to daily life. I even learnt French because my plan was to settle in Quebec. Time went by and, sadly, Canada has gone downward. My country has fared a littlet better since myymid twenties. It still sucks but I get along with it. There always is a place to call home if you have seen the world. Lucky you, I haven't seen as much world as I once dreamt of. Good luck on your choice.

For me a Québécois, we missed the boat in 1995. Too bad if you don’t like it but we got screwed by newly arrived immigrants back then and we are being drowned by immigrants now. NYC deserves what it is getting now. The city has had the worse reputation for years. Although that are many fine people who live there, the reputation for rudeness and arrogance in unmatched. I had to go to many business meetings in NYC and was even a schedule speaker a convention at Madison Square Garden. Whenever had had to go there,\nI couldn't wait to leave.
