The tariffs make sense from the position of trump being an ally with putin. trump is punishing countries that have supported Ukraine, thinking that if he weakens these countries with tarrifs, these same countries will turn inward and discontinue their support of Ukraine. Can someone why tell me why we import food and oil that we already have in our own country? There is a terrif on beef. We have cows in CA, Texas and Montana. Why don't we use that beef? Imports and exports make no sense to me. Same with oil. We make tons of it yet import it to other countries and then buy oil from Canada. Why?
