It’s shocking how many people are falling for this speech. He completely sidestepped the question which is why won’t you take the refugees? The answer is simple. It’s because they don’t want them. They don’t want anything to do with them. They don’t wanna have to deal with supporting them. Instead of saying that, he’s making it sound like an act of heroism where he’s standing up for them. There are many people who don’t want to be in Palestine but they’re stuck.

Come on… that land is not exclusively their land.. AND .. remember that the Palestinians want to totally eradicate the Israeli people and take all of the land.. it should be remembered that way back when, that land ..all of it, was the Holy land in which the twelve tribes lived..history reports that the Roman Emperor Hadrian, in an effort to humiliate the Hebrew people, scattered them and changed the name of the land to Palestino and then called the inhabitants Palestinians .. it is a very sorry state of affairs but must be remembered that the Palestinians have supported some very wicked politicians for many years who have authorised some dreadful behaviour toward the Israeli people ..

I'm an immigrant and my immigrant friends and I were talking about exactly this just the other day. I'd like to add some context on why so few international students stay: they can't. Schools prey on this very fact. In international recruiting, these schools use the promise of thriving local industries and trot out graduates working locally as major draws to these expensive programs. Then once students are in Canada, many of these schools couldn't care less: they offer little or sometimes no housing support, no immigration advice (or in my case and many of my friends' cases: they give straight-up false immigration advice that can screw you over or even get you in trouble). There absolutely needs to be regulation and accountability for these predatory schools; I think a good starting point would be capping the number of visas they can apply for based on the number of housing units available (either on-campus or via local development subsidy and homestays). Tons of students come to Canada completely unprepared due to false promises made by these schools, and then get spit out into an egregiously inefficient and broken work visa system.\nMy immigrant friends and I are all highly skilled in our specific field. There are only a handful of people in the world (let alone in Canada) who can do what I do at the level I do it, so I would be incredibly difficult to replace if I left Canada. Despite that, and despite being Canadian-educated (Canadian resources invested in me that you'd want to keep in Canada), remaining in Canada has been a massive struggle for me and my friends. We individually spend hundreds and even thousands of dollars every year to apply for permits that have to be renewed annually, but take the government 6+ months to process. Because the government is so backed up, we have to apply for *extra* permits to bridge that gap (more money, and more work added to IRCC's already-long line of applications). I'm in limbo for the majority of the year where I can't switch employers, can't leave the country, etc. It's horrible. \nBut I have it better than most. Of the international students in my year, only I and one other student are still in Canada because the transition to work permits is so needlessly long and difficult. Even a graduate who does manage to get a work permit might have to sit unemployed for 6 months or more before that permit is active. How is a student supposed to survive without work for that long? In order for employers to even apply to sponsor a graduate, they often have to do a lengthy labor market impact assessment, and so these graduates are stuck in a holding pattern, and they're the lucky ones. Immigration is absolutely vital to Canada and I hate how quickly these stories turn to xenophobic rhetoric, but we have to make space in the conversation to take a look at how schools are exploiting students and policy loopholes, and why they're doing it, and address those problems. The current system isn't fair to anyone.

One has to assume that we have smart people behind the scenes that have been looking at this issues at length. They have either warned the government, and they ignored it, or there is something else at work. Perhaps the government KNOWS they will cause a housing crisis, and it's BY DESIGN!!! How many politicians out there own, or rent out their properties to gain income. This inflation will REALLY help their portfolio $$$. They are taking advantage of the crisis! If you spin it that way, their decisions all make sense. They do not care about Canadians at all, they only care about the already wealthy, protecting, or even gaining from the high inflation the KNEW WAS COMING. You have all been duped, and all politicians are in on it (red, blue, yellow and green!)

I’m a born Canadian and Canada was once the envy of the world. Cost of living was decent and plenty of good paying jobs. I couldn’t imagine being an immigrant here now. Cost of living is skyrocketing and our government does nothing about it. We are taxed so high and get little in return for the high taxes. Though our healthcare system is free and We do have state of the art facilities and skilled doctors it takes forever to get treated due to high wait times and staff shortages. There are many people immigrating to Canada with high education and experience but Canada does not allow them to practice here because they were not educated here. They are forced to take lower paying jobs. Many young people are leaving because it just too expensive to live here and the political climate is not what it used to be. Growing old here is very difficult unless you have support from family or have a large enough pension account to live in a retirement community

Canada is no longer Canada. Canadiens are almost a minority in there own country. We have very large cities that we are a minority in. There is so much hate towards white people. FUK TRUDEAU. there is a major housing crisis because we have to many immigrants in a short period of time. The immigrants barley speak English if any at all and are taking over the schools.They are causing the crime rate to rise substantially. Canada is no longer a great country to live.

While this is a great thing in general...\nIt doesn't benefit the country or the immigrants when things like housing and jobs and health care aren't in place to support this influx of people. \n\nThe thing is...Canada REFUSES to fix its own problems on its own. If the excuse is don't do this because of health care then when will the right time be? Canada's health care has been at dangerous levels for OVER 30 YEARS! Always working at or near peak with long wait times. Maybe in 30 more years this will be fixed?\n\nHousing is a problem because no one builds affordable housing. The system is fully corrupt. When you hear that 500k houses have been built...then odds are 99% of those were NOT affordable housing. Meanwhile well over 50% of Canadians REQUIRE affordable housing. So how many more years will it take to fix this problem when we're not even trying to address it?

Amazing you can comment on a CBC news YouTube channel.. you cannot blame the huge influx of immagrants on just students coming here to learn... The federal government needs NEEDS NEEDS to shut down the flow of people coming here from everywhere.. we as a country cannot handle the sheer ammount that they want to bring in.. these people are brough here in the expectance of paying taxes.. but how many are getting their education and leaving for greener pastures? Why would this be any different than what Canadian students do after they are finished with their education.. How may of the immagrants that are coming here that the government expects to pay taxes are actually taking money from the welfare system because there are no jobs for them.. im gonna say that taht number is huge maybe more tahn 60 percent.. I don’t think the student’s are a problem as much as immigration itself.\nCanada has been very negligent the way immigrants were taking in to the Country. Instead of letting these immigrants responsibly come into the Country , they were stampeding into Canada without anyone watching that these people even were eligible or not. We have no doubt many undesirable’s who would not have been allowed under normal circumstances. Even now people have no place to stay, yet more and more immigrants are coming and sit on top of each other. How is this healthy for these people and how is this healthy for Canada and Canadians. Yes, as much as most people don't want to admit it, we don't have the housing or resources to take in so many. And not just students but our immigration levels are off the charts in all areas.\n\nI have no issue with someone wanting to come here hoping for a better life, but thats not a legal right that we have n obligation for. Same as you wouldn't open your door and invite anyone in the city to come on in.\n\nWe have to think about this from a practical level because our unrestricted immigration is causing a crisis in many areas, housing, health care and so on.

think about it , up to 90% of the school funding come from international student. Without them , I cannot imagine if local student can afford the tuition. If schools can still hire the best professors. And how many people may loss their job. Why can’t we think of education industry just like any other pillar economic sector similar to finance, manufacturing. The only thing we need to solve is housing. Just build more dorms and take in more students and make canadian economy better

A big part..........at least here in Vancouver why the healthcare system is broken here is due to the ongoing opioid crisis. The downtown eastside where many of the homeless and drug addicts live is known as the vortex because it sucks in all 1st responders across the lower mainland. Yet when someone who lives somewhere else in the city needs an ambulance you are screwed. Last year I had to wait over 8 hours for an ambulance........I live less then 10 minutes away from the nearest hospital. Because I couldn't move I had to sit there while my roommate had to call 9-11 over a dozen times to get me an ambulance. Doctors are even telling people to take a cab to the hospital if they can walk, because it's faster. \n\nAnd even when I finally got to emergency I had to wait hours to get looked at. The doctor didn't see me for almost 6 hours while i'm lying there screaming in pain. And this was on a Tuesday night, not even a weekend.

I have to ask are you giving up your Canadian citizenship? And I have to tell you I bet you are going to keep it. And although I agree with some things eg: the extreme stance and slide into extreme liberalism, your move is one extreme to the other, and despite the cancel culture here it still stands for real freedom when compared to the middle east. So please do us a favor and if war breaks out where you are going to, please do not ask the Canadian people and government (like so many islamic homesick have in the past) to rescue you at the monetary expense and potential risk to our Canadian men and womens lives- that would be so insulting not to mention hypocritical and Canadians take note of such things and they don't forget. This is my 13th year in Canada, I am so sad to see the change, I really hope it will become a better country again with Trudeau stepping down. But we also have to be fair that there are not many countries become better since COVID. Many of you leaving or planning to leave Canada are more like rich country retirees taking advantage of the wage and currency differences between rich and poor countries. So let’s put it this way, if many of you have not worked your whole life here in Canada, will you still have a quality of life in your home countries, such as Southeast Asia or South America? I doubt majority of the population there is make a good money and having great work life balance, and everyone there could afford a decent retirement life. what is more close to nowadays reality is people coming here and hoping they could have a better paid job and settle down here, but most of them found out they are struggling to even maintain their normal life in this country, so they left. For those who came years ago, they made a saving which may not be enough to support a good retirement life here, but is more than enough in other countries, they also choose to flee. Then those successful immigrants will stay here with the option to travel anywhere they want. My son's classmate's grandfather immigrated to Canada long time ago who later become a well known cardiologist and was rewarded as one of the top 25 immigrants Award, all three daughters are now specialists too. I really hope Canada could rise again!

Many of your numbers are wrong sweetie. Here are the facts;\n2 years ago, you would go to IGA (where food is fresh but it is pricey), you would get out with 2 bags of groceries for about 120$. Today, it is 180$ for the same 2 bags. this is NOT a 10% increase... but almost the double in price!\n\nRent, in Quebec province, have gone from around 1,000$ to 2,400$ in less than 5 years, and each time a tennant leave his place, the landlord rise (against the law but nobody can do anything) the rent often by 25 to 40%!!! The Demand is so high, that he can refuse you for any reason (including racism, children, pet, smokers) he can think of. Again, this is against the common law but in truth, there is nothing anybody can do, unless you can bring him to court, which takes lots of money...\n\nSo in reality, from the last 5 years, almost everything has double in price and salaries have barely start to rise (mostly due to unions who revolted) but if you are not part of one, your salary basically stayed the same.\n\nA very good advice, don't come to Canada. There is no 'dream' here anymore. it is hell. And even if you find a decent job, you will be ask to do the job of 4 peoples and taking your vacation will be near impossible without losing it. If you are not dying in your country, don't come here. I knew some people that came here from France, and although the situation is bad in France, it is still easier to live in France than here and so, they returned.\n\nWe are called a social-communist country by US standard, but the truth is, we have never been so far away from it. We are now into a company distopia that have monopoly on prices, control over any legislations, and our government steal money from its citizen to give it to companies so they grow artificially without giving any more good jobs to people. I foresee a citizen unrest if not, a revolt, in the near future. The domestic violence is reaching new heights, and if you don't believe me, just look at the current news; this last 2 days have seen 2 women beaten to death by their husbands... and that is just the point of the iceberg we see... People are stressed, angry, broken, and even if we keep making jokes ( that is how we are...) we are all worried about the future of Canada.

Canada is suffering because of bad leadership. The government is unable to step in in housing, because that would mean lowering the global value of it. Unable to step in in services, because it is stuck with unions that support laziness instead of competences and performances. Unable to step in in anything because it is controled by a literal mafia that totally surrounded the government and pull the strings of every ministers who are no longer there for the people they represent, but afraid of being killed by those mafiosies. \n\n So the honest worker is mostly doing 32k a year with charges that are about 30k a year. That means most people are going paycheck to paycheck, unable to afford savings, nor think about retirement. Unable to afford to improved their housing situation, paying rent that is so high that it should be consider a crime. \n\nIn fact, i predict many landlord will be killed in the coming years, by people losing their mind, because of incredible amount of stress they are suffering from. You think i am joking? Just the last 2 days, 2 woman lost their life because of being beaten to death by their husband... \n\nThis country is failing and failing fast because it doesn't take care of its population anymore... it is a doom country and immigration was the nail in the coffin. The system is unable to sustain such a demand. The next year is gonna see an incredible rise in criminality, and i foresee mass murdering events, like there was in the US.

heath care is horriable. there are to many people and the healtcare cant take care of so many people thats also a problem if you want to bring people in also make sure your healthcare is in order the hole country is going the wrong driction usa is lot better more pay, lower taxes, more carrer opptunites affordable houseing.. Trudeu is brining people in like crazy. if you live in canada you pay for more for eveything comapred to how much americans pay there arent enough jobs for educated workers so people looking for a job become uber drivers. there is lots of money laundering down in canada through real estae lots of people that cant buy homes back home they buy a house in canada. and everything becomes crazy exspensive. during the pandemic canada just went down hill.

Have you looked at your weekly grocery bill and your monthly rental bill lately? They are taking up most (if not all) of your income. That's why so many people are leaving Canada, it is because of economic hardship forcing them to try to find a cheaper place where they can have a better quality of life.

Amidst so many events lately, Which are opening so many horizons for people, I also, but cant help myself realise a few very significant events unfolding in front of my eyes. \n\nWhilst listening to your reasons to move, I am realising that Allah (God) is aligning the world into two very distinct parts, right wing and the left wing. My parents migrated from Pakistan to UK in the 1960s, they were the minority Muslims, but pioneers in establishing mosques, halal food in all educational establishments, many work places and major food outlets in majority Muslim areas. They also established Salah places in work and education and public buildings, and also the rights to practice your faith and take time for Salah in working hours.\n\nNow, my family are the fifth settled generation and alhamdolillah, we have many madrassas, islamic schools, and children becoming Hafiz. \n\nWe live in harmony with non Muslims and many are converting daily, the question is if there was no Muslims, how would the Deen be shown and expand in non Muslims countries. Even our Sahabahs went into the world to teach and expand our beautiful faith Islam.\n\nMany Islamic countries are only Islamic my name, they are the biggest contributers to the genocide, as they have not spoken up or helped their Muslim ummah in Palestine. You will also find many covert doctrines in their governments that you may not agree with.\n\nLastly, many Muslim children attend public schools and are being exposed to the LGBT community and we as Muslim parents are teaching them in our homes from a young age, that in islam there is only a man and a woman and no third gender and only a man can marry a woman.\n\nYou can have the best of intentions but you can wrap your children and one day they will be exposed to what is not Islamic, and they need to be taught how to deal with it and hopefully, by showing them their own Islamic values, hopefully also change people's perceptions as they come into Islam.\n\nMaybe, if you stayed in Canada, you could establish an islamic school for your children and other Muslim children to attend, look around where you live, see where you can establish prayer areas, talk to the mall managers and finance prayer rooms, talk to schools, public restaurants, and establish halal foods. Please look at what has been achieved in the UK and you are at the beginning of that in Canada, and think of the Islamic foundation you are setting the future generations of Muslims and also many more Muslims who may convert one day. insha'Allah

. This is the future and they create ill feelings wherever they go. When people want to claim back their towns and cities from Muslims they claim racism. if you look at how islam behaves you get mass migration into ountries where they initially behave, but when their numbers increase to 7%+ they start rioting demanding islamic laws ,islamic schools, courts etc. This is just the beginning. Why don't many Arab countries take in these people because they seen them as a serious problem and refuse to take them.

I am originally from Pakistan, lived in usa for 2 decades. but when i decided to get married i could find a lady to marry with same values i got. so i decided to move to pakistan. pakistan is very laid back but it got many many challenges. everyday you have to struggle to maintain basic necessities . i think you should give you decision a second thought. there many great people in canada who need you there. in canada you can serve islam better by educating people and try make a difference. it takes time to accomplish things.

Im lucky to be a home owner from 2011 and have a good job but I cannot accept the horrendous, corrupt and incompetent healthcare system we have..i know so many people who are basically going to die because of the horrible doctors, delays incompetence lack of resources etc etc etc....worst gov run healthcare system in the world... pure evil!! I wish I could move to Houston Texas, i could buy a mansion for 1 Million CAD and have access to one of the best healthcare systems in the world. USA please take me!!
