Seems like Columbia change their mind their own plans to come unpack about from the United States to take care of their immigrants????

They won't do thisin their country, cause they can't take care of them self's they want our country to do it

Not the responsibility of struggling Americans to take care of other countries or people fleeing from them. We are not their slaves. We have enough homeless already and not enough homes and the last thing we need to do is destroy more land to make more cities for all these immigrants. More cities means more polution, no way around it. We cant absorb the whole world and we're already past the point of living in balance with the llanet naturally.

If you get deported as an illegal immigrant, you should be able to take your children with you. What about us who came here legally and we paid to get our citizenship and went through so much processing to get here legally while others can just cross the borders illegally and get citizenship somehow. They were not screened if they have criminal records and they didn't go through a health inspection like we did. The law is law and it should always be implemented, no exceptions. I have met someone who was not a U.S. citizen but she gave birth on an airplane above the U.S. territory and her son became an automatic U.S. Citizen. I thought that was weird. The children should maintain the same citizenship as their parents so they will not be separated. Birthright citizenship has divided and dislocated families. This law meant that the U.S. government will take the baby away from the parents because they have no citizenship and put their children in the Foster Care Home Systems? That doesn't even make sense to separate a family, this law is a home wrecker. It needs to be abolished ASAP.

Close the border we cant even take care of our own homeless and children. We dont owe these ppl anything.

I wonder what media outlet has been telling them that it is ok for them to come into illegally and the American people will take care of them? Who has been hounding a person who wants to keep US citizens safe and housed? I think it is you CNN!

Sad. But not our problem or responsibility to take care of them. There’s so many other countries out there. They won’t let them all in. It sucks to have to be tough sometimes, but it is necessary at this point. Our own people are suffering and if the media showed more of that and less of this type of stuff, it might be better.

America is the land of opportunity. With or without an education and your determination, we can hold 2 to 3 jobs , while taking care of your family you left behind and still pay for a room over your head. I came from Asia, I came legally. It was difficult to enter the US. I had live in the US for 5 years before getting the right to take a test to be the citizen. It is not fair that they just across the US border then get the place to live, get free mobile, and get citizen so soon. It is not fair for the Americans who have worked hard and pay tax, then money from tax paid to feed illegally. Lived in Canada for almost 40 years. Worked in USA for 5 years 25 years ago. I did make a lot more money in USA then, luckily, I was in my 20s and almost never seen a doctor in my 5 years in the USA. \nThank God I didn't get into any accident while there. \n\nIn general, I observed many people in the USA are not good neighbors. Simple observation, ex you drive and merge into a lane in a busy SF Bay Highway you need to fight hard to get into a lane. In BC, Canada, merging lanes is very orderly, each vehicle takes turn merging into a lane one entering from one lane and then another vehicle from another lane with respect and consideration. \nIn the USA, I think it is this brutal mentality translates into policy in health care and education, you are not responsible to help your community in any way and take while you can for yourself.

i dont care how long it takes to get approved or denied stay in your own country till your approved get a red ink pad and a stamp that says denied and these lawyers i hope are not paid with tax payers money send them home till the system is fixed

As a young Canadian-born adult who applied to 40-50 entry level jobs and still got nothing, I strongly support prioritizing Canadians over immigrants, temporary foreign workers and International students. If Canadians are struggling to find work, then it's no surprise newcomers would also struggle to get a job. Canadians on Canadian soil must take priority. We can't take care of others and perform our best if we don't take care of ourselves. ?

I was in the Missouri when i got sick. I drove home and was diagnosed with a brainstem tumour. 10 hr surgery, 4 surgerical teams, icu, wks hospitalization. Months of rehab and homecare. The school even arranged a cab to take my 5 yr old to school. I have seen bills for pts who didn't make it home and had to have surgery in the US before being repatriated back to the icu i worked. It was an eye opener to see what they were charged for a box of kleenex, a catheter, an iv bag etc. I would have lost everything if i had to have surgery in the US. \nMy sister is currently in hosp in the US, and she is getting good care. I drove down last time she was in, and i was impressed by the lovely large CCU bay, but, hey patients are paying for it. She had a fancy postop CABG pillow to splint her chest when she had to coughed. It had a cute surgical heart on it. I am sure it cost $$. In Canada, we give our pts a regular pillow, some iv morphine and tlc when it hurts when they cough, no fancy cartoon pillow, but no bill either lol. She's a senior on medicaid so she's not going into massive debt or dying in her home to avoid going to the hospital.\n \nI have been travelling to the states since 1976 as a young child. I love the states, I have a lot of family there. My dad lived there until his death. My great grandma immigrated and died in Montana. I have never had a negative experience there in over 49 yrs, other than the old lady backed into my parked suv in the hobby lobby lol parking lot l\n\nA big plus in Canada, is paid Maternity/ paternity leaves and also caregiver leave. Your mom has a stroke or child has cancer you can take time off work to care for them with partial pay and not worry about losing your job

It’s not hard to understand. The US cannot and does not take care of its own poor and working class, and through 40 years of neoliberal policy has impoverished enough of its own people to no longer require much foreign labor. If Mexico wants you, stay there. The weather is better and cost of living is lower.

I'm glad that atleast some of them want to do it legally, but we can't take everyone who wants to come here, certainly not before we get our crime under control, and take care of our own homeless population the best we can or atleast put a good plan in place, and not if coming here means you get free free free everything while we pay for ours and yours.

I say they all just remain in Mexico and let Mexico take care of them. The language and the food is what they are used to.

I have heard the average just to have baby in the US is 7-10K not including prenatal care, here in Canada it is zero…\nI have been pregnant 3 times, sadly lost my first 2, and I have had 2 complete knee replacements and several spinal cord surgeries…I would be dead for sure if I lived in the States, here I have paid nothing, I have insurance and that pays for my medication I need to take. I don’t know how people manage down there if you have health issues.
