What I don’t get is America isn’t against immigrants coming to America (the legal way) but people want to protest coming here illegally and are upset people are getting deported because they didn’t come the legal way. I work with a ton of guys that came to America the legal way and are all for deporting the illegals back to where they came from. The legal immigrants work hard and pay taxes and illegals don’t pay taxes they get benefits and haven’t paid their dues like the legal immigrants had to do to get in. Taking care of illegals takes away from Americans getting the help they need and we have to pay taxes. They protest and wave the Mexico flag holding signs saying “Immigrants built America” and $hit on the things America has done for them. If they built America and are so proud to be from Mexico then why don’t you build Mexico up like you say you did in America. If it’s so great why are you coming to America illegally and running from your country. Do you think protesting and blocking streets and highways is going to get you anywhere with Trump and do you think your going to win the American people over by pissing them off doing stupid things like blocking highways and Streets. You don’t win people over by pissing them off and you don’t win Americans over Shitting on America waving your flag when this country has done more for you then your own country. If you came here illegally and broke the law then you should’ve thought about that before doing it and being put on the ICE list.Go back and by all means come back when your legally allowed and while you wait for that to happen and the papers to go through build up your own Country!

Lets keep i real. The desire that most immigrants have is homeostasis which is the familiar. All humans do this. Individually indians are usually smart and decent people. These are attractive features of canada that play a role in why people want to come here. And leave where they were. Its it logical to think that you have more to learn about us then we do of you? Not being on some selfish punk shit is canadas greatest strength. Its that same inclusives mentality that keep the government corruption very small which empowers the citizens to make them successful and able to contribute more back into this system. The very nature of hoarding resources for ones family, same culture, etc are the same oppressive situations many of these people left their countries to seek better opportunities. But once given those opportunities and a chance to decide for themselves, a lot of these people use their liberties to create exclusion and hostility toward out groups. The indians do this in a very overt in your face way, the chinese are more polite about it but both have this way of looking out for their own and not being concerned with anyone else. As far as im conerned you should all be split up and dispersered to live in different provinces and cites. I know this isnt realitic but it would save them from what a lot of them are gunna end up be exposed to which is experiences with native born Canadians who are going to very rudly show you what happens when you disrespectf someone in their own home. \n\nThe party is over. At this point - Feb 2025- a lot of condos have been built in Toronto and guess what, nobody is buying!! The economy dipped with the pandemic as it happened in many other countries! Honestly everyone is to blame. Canada and Mexico have both been riding the American gravy train for decades and never got slapped by any of the former presidents. canadian military will take transgender military members. Our military pays for the surgery, gives free counselors. There are a lot of conservatives in the canadian military, including my husband, and he works with a lot of transgender people and no one cares. IF someone wants to transition no one cares, if someone wants to be they/them no one cares. They lives their lives and get the job done. There is in fact no actual housing shortage in the USA whatsoever. The problem is that that wealthy individuals have strong incentives to park excess capital in real estate and landlords have strong incentives to maintain asset values through cash flow potential (appraised through $/sq.ft rent revenues). What ends up happening in both cases is that you end up with lots of empty houses sitting collecting dust artificially gaining value due to scarcity, and with rentals, you end up with perpetually inflated rents and vacancy rates that are as high as a landlord can tolerate just to maintain the appearance of value to the lenders. Often these owners will borrow more money and use an apartment that might be 40% vacant as the collateral for the lender and go buy another building and so on. What people don't penalize is the fact that that 40% vacant building with 60% rented out at above fair value gets treated on the balance sheet to the bank as if its 90% rented out from an asset value perspective thereby setting the asset price artificially high. Simple legislation of the tax code can fix this issue and unlock lots of sidelined housing. All we have to do is progressively tax 2nd 3rd 4th ect. homes higher and higher rates that essentially cancel out the asset gains, and do something similar for vacant units in a apartment building. \nIts just at the core a case of the rich hoarding something that has been made artificially rare. On top of all of this, because of how valuable properties have become, there are now many interests that capitalize on the entire process of building new housing that make it ever more expensive. Our taxes are funding numerous regulators that stymie new development, while the developers have to then hire numerous attorneys and planners to pitch a project and litigate it through the cities to get approvals. This can take over 10 years in a major city. All this contributes to the ridiculous costs of building these days.
