I'm Canadian, the Minority government that is propped up by a socialist party does not represent the majority of us. The world saw what they did to peaceful people that opposed them during covid lockdowns. Our government is corrupt and out if control.

you know we americans are pathetic. throw some unwarranted tariffs against canada and it bonds all Canadians together ready to fight. take a foreign born, unelected billionaire who takes a chainsaw to our government after a reactionary think tank wrote a document saying they were going to destroy our government an create an autocracy--- a think tank composed of people who are now in the trump administration----and now we are aligning with Putin and we americans do nothing. this is sad. we are losing our country

Our American government is broken!

Doug Ford or Trudeau’s reciprocal actions against the U.S. are secondary to me as a Canadian. For days, they’ve been misleading the public with talk of imposing tariffs on U.S. goods or cutting power supply, but that’s not the real issue. \n \nWhat truly matters is how our government is actively mitigating the economic impact. Are they securing new markets? Have they repaired strained relations with China, which were damaged in 2021 over the arrest of Huawei executive Meng Wanzhou to appease the U.S.? Are we expanding oil exports to Japan, India, or China? Have we dispatched trade delegations worldwide to open new opportunities? \n \nWrong move. Canada doesn't have a functioning government. There is no mandate. The Prime Minister has resigned. Parliament is not in session. There is no reason to escalate. The focus should be on finding a solution the root cause of why the tariff was put in place over the border and fentanyl. \n \nIf not, then all these moves by Ford or Trudeau are meaningless—just political maneuvering to distract Canadians from the real problem.

Canada charges americans 20%-25% foreign property tax fee when americans try to buy property in canada. This has been around for years. American government doesn't tax canadians or any other foreigners an extra tax when purchasing property in the US.

TRUDEAU’s government has made Canada more vulnerable than ever before! Trudeau has scared away investment, carbon tax has chased away industry to non-carbon tax countries. Canada’s over dependence on the USA market and cancelling pipelines has left us without alternative trading partners! Trudeau has destroyed Canada a lot more than Trump!

American Citizens, band together your local communities in your districts and states. Take in all the information you can about the decisions our government has made, make it concise and to the point, speak to your voted representatives. Make your promise to un-elect if they don't follow the will of the people. There's nothing stronger than the unity of the United States of America, it's time to prove that we are able to unify again, for real.

The only reason we go to Canada for supplies is because of regulations, EPA , green deal and special interest groups. \nNow that is over we dont need them.\nCanada has refused secure their border for years.

Inflation is what happens when governments print money. Tariffs may cause prices to rise temporarily due to supply and demand, but that is not the same as de-valuing the currency.

What I don't understand the taxpayers are the ones that are flipping the government's tap. The billionaires are the ones that are causing the deficit to be so high. Why are they claiming the taxpayers to pay it out Donald Trump and his flunkies are the cause of August problem. The republicans just want more money and just because Joe Biden didn't lift up the. Spending costs Donald Trump got mad and now he's taking it out on the United States. People that pay his seat in the office right now.\n We're all working citizens in the United States. I've been flipped a bill that the government has done just to pocket their there. Money and no pay taxes. This is the billionaires that I'm talking about. Oh, the solution is pretty simple, as is the reverse of tariffs. Most of Canadians savings are poured directly or through investment funds into Wall Street to increase US investment. The main export of US is bonds and stocks. Let the Canadian government introduce a tax on any investment on its residents on any asset in US currency or us denominated. Immediately billions and billions of dollars ( CAD ) would return into the country. Too bad for US treasury bonds and stocks.

First rule is don't have idiots running the government of the country

We have maintained a high level standard of living, when by all rights we should not have it. Many want to blame government, but one part of the problem is an over reliance as an exporter of raw natural resources and a reliance on generally a single market (USA) for our goods. Interestingly enough the problems have been reinforced by governments of every type. What annoys me most is that these issues have been known for a long time, and the various governments have been scared to do anything about it. And they never took Sir Donald's words seriously - either about the tarriffs or statehood. I have heard zero from any level of government looking for new markets for our goods, yet they have had since November to do something. Going to be a stressful ride for many of us. I am recently retired and wonder if I should be worred.
