It’s pretty much the same in India. I’ve visited New Delhi last year, I went for an early morning run and was shocked to find the streets littered with fresh poop. My university gave me almost free courses and scholarship payed full time courses with living cost included. I did have the luck to meet good Germans friends that helped me and made me feel included. After some years, when I wanted to pursuit a natural career path is when I found difficulties. Being promoted more than senior engineer, a manager positions or a Professor position were out of my reach because of me being different. My earnings aspirations soon reached a limit and then decided to leave to California. I have full respect and love for Germany, but there I was not able to be what I wanted to be. Now I have achieved more abroad. However, I still miss some things from my life there.

I am all for having indian immigrants BUT if they wish to live here Canada, they should go in the wilderness and build their own towns from scratch just like we did! We definitely needed help in filling in the deficit of employees that are needed in Canada! It is a shame that ALL political parties did not solve the housing issue which we knew was going to be a problem, many decades ago, even well before the Harper government! This is not rocket surgery! LOL\nIn Northern Ontario we have a LOT of Indian immigrants. All the ones I have met are very well educated even though they are working in the service industries! I know several Indian Canadians who are Doctors, Teachers and Engineers! Almost all of my experiences have been positive! Of course it is human nature to always highlight issues, for example: I caught one group of people throwing garbage in a parking lot, and immediately notified them that they had dropped something, and even followed them with the garbage. One of the group stated, it was just trash. I told him there was a garbage can right over there, and I just KNEW that they did not want to throw it just lose on the ground, and wanted to help keep our town clean. They said sorry and politely picked it up and placed it in the garbage can. Hopefully lesson learned! I politely and respectfully spoke out, to a good resolution.\nMy parents were immigrants from war-torn Germany. I know ALL about prejudice for new immigrants. Don't conflate hating Indians and an obviously unsustainable immigration rate. I'm a natural born Canadian, I'm pro-immigration. So long as it is managed and targeted at areas of need for the country. I never painted all Indians with the same brush when the food bank and Wasaga incidents happened. When you bring in 1.2M a year, you will get some bad actors. However, that's the issue, that many people, coming over in such a short period of time, the infrastructure and social safety net cannot support everyone. It's unfortunate, but necessary that immigration rate is reduced and reformed.

There are low income families here as well. So you dont recommend to move to Canada from central Europe? I been to Canada, Ottawa, for business trip recently and I loved how everything looked nice clean polished. And nature was unbelievable. But I couldn't not notice that I was almost only white person in Walmart, it was brand new experience for me :-D We don't have that in Czech Republic...
