“…to get these countries to do the US’s bidding” \n\nOne of the most ignorant comments I have ever heard. Sounds like a CNN reporter tbh.\n\nTaking YOUR citizens that are nothing but criminals back who entered OUR country illegally and are costing OUR taxpayers billions of dollars to cater to them when they contribute nothing to society is hardly “doing Trump’s and the USA’s bidding.”

Good for Trump! Columbia needs to accept their criminals back. America owe these people nothing. Did not take long for Columbia's president to bend the knee....This is why we voted for Trump.

Trump already completing work within his first week in office compare to Biden 4 years in office of nothing to only pardon his family of any potential crime within the last 10 years within his last few months in office

At one time no South American country would have dared defy a US president and risk invasion and regime change, now they all openly defy Trump with abandon since the rise of BRICS. Colombia has applied to join BRICS and these retaliatory tariffs will simply speed that up. Colombia stated quite clearly - we will not accept undocumented migrants who have done nothing wrong but work, pay their tax and behave as excellent members of US society - basically Trump try somewhere else to dump your unwanted workers. Americans' favourite Colombian coffees have just become 25% more expensive, millions of cups of Colombian coffee is drunk the US every week.
\n\nTrump’s ridiculous comment about Jordan, Egypt and other Gulf countries taking Palestinians whilst Gaza is rebuilt is equally stupid; those countries cannot accept forcibly expelled, ethnically cleansed Gazans because that would be a War Crime and render those countries liable to be accused of complicity in a War Crime by the International Court of Justice; they would also incur the wrath of their respective populations and put their governments at risk of being overthrown.
\n\nAll the surrounding countries and the International Community needs to do is to flood Gaza with thousands of tons of humanitarian aid and millions of large family-sized tents, as well as mobile toilets and washing facilities. Supply bulldozers and rubble removing machinery to clean the land up as quickly as possible, as well as bomb detection kits to protect the children. The Gazan people are incredibly resilient and will happily live in tents whilst their country is being rebuilt around them, and the State of Palestine begins to emerge again.
\n??

People in these comments are on some serious copium. Y’all actin like coffee prices are gonna be a big problem because you have nothing negative to say about what Trump did. Like y’all give a shit when you go to Starbucks and spend $8 on a coffee already, or is it more? This hurts then more than it would hurt us btw, that’s why they folded so easily. Trump knew they would fold easily. Btw we can get coffee somewhere else if you truly need coffee to love you can probably drink espresso too. I buy a brand imported from Italy

They're joining BRICS. What do they need from the US? NOTHING! \n\nBut I'm relieved that at least the wealthy will afford to buy their coffee and bananas. tRump voters nevah get tired of winning. Yah!!!

Trump is a complete psycho. And completely STUPID.\nThere’s nothing worse then an arrogant insecure ridiculously ignorant person…but it’s dangerous what it’s the leader of a country.

It costs 60,000 an hour to operate one military cargo plane.8,000 dollars an hour for a civilian aircraft capable of carrying 5X the passengers. These flights were already happening, trump trying to make a scene by switching to military aircraft, Unfortunately, these countries won’t let military aircraft land. Nothing to do with actually refusing returning nationals

If you supported Trumps immigration policy you all should be Willing to pay higher prices on goods ..nothing is free friends

Why do these bottom feeders think they can just barge into our country? They have no rights. They don't belong here, we don't want them here. They have nothing, will only drain taxpayers. No skills, don't know the language, only want the things free that we Americans have had to work for, and now we're supposed to work to give these things to them? They come from violent places, diseased places, and many of them have and will commit horrendous acts against Americans. Thank God for President Trump and Tom Homan.

These people don't understand that President Trump don't play around. He will literally bring tanks and the Army down there. And these people are going to have to turn around and go back whether they want to or not, but what's going to happen is they're going to assault police officers they're going to assault army people and they're going to get shot and then you're going to have the media. Covering it like it's the Army's fault that they had to defend themselves. The media should be ashamed of themselves. The Democrats should be ashamed of themselves, telling these people they can come here and live for free when the Americans have already spoken and said they cannot. These government officials forget they work for us. We do not work for them, but they seem to think that they control everything. This is where we the American people need to take our country back. We have to stop letting democrats think that they can control everything that happens because if they keep thinking that they are untouchable, or that they can keep controlling everything. What do you think going to happen to this country? We are already in the worst times we have ever been in in the USA period but the Democrats just keep going and going and going by giving these people free handouts and then expecting us not to say no, we can't handle them more of them. They are trying to overrun us, because what's going to happen is they're going to keep trying to let them come in, they are doing this for a vote. Do you not understand that the Democrats lost an election in a landslot? They figured if they can allow 40 or 50 million more to come in that they can stay in power for the rest of their time on this Earth until Jesus returned. That's what their plan is Their plans not to help Americans. They're planning to keep these people coming in, giving them free handouts, because they need votes, why don't people understand what's going on? If you bring in a 100 million for the illegal immigrants, they will vote single-handedly every time for Democrats, which will keep them in power, which will keep us homeless, which will keep American citizens begging for food, but they will still be giving these people free handouts from the American taxpayer. Now, what's going to happen is if these people actually get jobs instead of under-the-table where they have to pay taxes, they will quit working. They will quit working. Then the american taxpayer will be without a job. Then the immigrants won't work, and then you'll have a society where nobody's working doing nothing because the governments took all their money
|

So before Trump, nothing has been done! Trump has been in the office for 36 hours and over 400 illegal criminals has been already deported out of USA. It’s time for Canada to change government ASAP before it gets destroyed.

They brought this hardship on themselves not President Trump, it has never in human history been cruel to send people home. They have nothing to offer America, those corporations who have a voracious appetite for cheap labor have fueled this migration by lobbyist working with Dems and Republicans to replace American workers with cheap unskilled labor from around the world while putting the.cost of feeding, sheltering, educating and medical treatment for this cheap labor on us the ones who have been put out of work by the cheap labor imported by elected leaders.

Mexico’s Economic Apocalypse: My Personal Analysis\n\nThe imposition of a 25% tariff on all Mexican imports by the United States would be nothing short of an economic death sentence for Mexico. As someone deeply concerned about the integrity of U.S. borders, sovereignty, and the well-being of American citizens, I believe this tariff is both justified and necessary. Mexico has repeatedly ignored its responsibilities as a neighbor, and it is time for accountability. Let’s examine the devastating impact this tariff would have on Mexico in brutal, undeniable detail.\n\n\n---\n\nEconomic Collapse: A Nation on Its Knees\n\nMexico’s economy relies heavily on exports, with over 80% of its exports destined for the United States. A 25% tariff would obliterate Mexico’s competitive edge, pricing its goods out of the U.S. market. The result? A $100 billion annual loss in trade revenue—a wound so deep it would cripple the nation’s economy beyond repair.\n\nGDP Freefall: With exports constituting 28% of Mexico’s GDP, the tariff would slash growth rates and plunge Mexico into a severe recession. Entire industries would collapse under the weight of unsold goods and lost revenue streams.\n\nMassive Manufacturing Shutdowns: Mexico’s lifeblood industries—automotive, electronics, and steel—would face annihilation. Plants dependent on U.S. buyers would grind to a halt, leaving millions unemployed.\n\n\n\n---\n\nSocial and Humanitarian Crisis: A Nation in Chaos\n\nThe economic fallout wouldn’t just affect industries—it would decimate millions of lives:\n\nUnemployment Epidemic: With factories shuttered and exports decimated, unemployment would skyrocket, leaving millions of families destitute. Entire regions reliant on U.S. trade would become economic wastelands.\n\nHuman Desperation: Widespread poverty would fuel desperation, leading to a surge in crime, social unrest, and violence. Mexico’s already fragile social fabric would unravel, plunging the nation into chaos.\n\nMass Emigration: Unable to survive in their homeland, millions of Mexicans would flee to the United States, creating an unprecedented border crisis—ironically the very issue the tariff seeks to address.\n\n\n\n---\n\nFinancial Ruin: Mexico’s Peso in Freefall\n\nThe peso would face catastrophic devaluation, losing value faster than at any point in modern history. This would create:\n\nHyperinflation: Everyday goods would become unaffordable for the average citizen. The price of imported essentials—like medicine and machinery—would skyrocket.\n\nInvestor Exodus: Foreign investors, seeing no future for Mexico’s economy, would abandon the country. Capital flight would cause Mexico’s stock market to crash, sending shockwaves through the financial system.\n\n\n\n---\n\nThe Root Cause: Mexico’s Negligence\n\nMexico has brought this apocalypse upon itself through years of neglect and willful inaction:\n\nIllegal Immigration: Mexico has consistently allowed massive waves of illegal immigrants to flow across its northern border, destabilizing U.S. communities and eroding American sovereignty.\n\nDrug Trafficking: The unchecked trafficking of fentanyl and other deadly drugs through Mexican cartels has killed tens of thousands of Americans annually. Mexico has done little to combat this epidemic, allowing cartels to thrive.\n\nBroken Promises: Despite agreements and warnings, Mexico has failed to step up as a responsible partner. Words without action are meaningless, and the time for talk is over.\n\n\n\n---\n\nWhy Trump’s 25% Tariff is Justified\n\nPresident Trump’s 25% tariff isn’t just an economic tool—it’s a weapon of justice aimed at holding Mexico accountable for its negligence. Here’s why this move is essential:\n\n1. Securing U.S. Borders: Mexico’s failure to stop illegal immigration has forced the United States to act decisively. This tariff will compel Mexico to finally enforce its borders and prevent illegal crossings.\n\n\n2. Protecting American Lives: The flow of drugs like fentanyl must stop. By crippling Mexico’s economy, the tariff weakens the cartels that profit from this deadly trade.\n\n\n3. Economic Leverage: The U.S. is Mexico’s largest trading partner. Without access to the American market, Mexico’s economy collapses. This leverage ensures Mexico has no choice but to comply with U.S. demands.\n\n\n\n\n---\n\nA Brutal but Necessary Move\n\nYes, this tariff would cause unimaginable suffering in Mexico, but that suffering is a direct result of its government’s failures. President Trump is not to blame—Mexico is. By ignoring its responsibilities, Mexico has forced America to take a stand. The economic apocalypse that follows is the price Mexico must pay for its negligence.\n\nThis is not just about punishing Mexico—it’s about protecting the United States. It’s about securing our borders, saving American lives, and ensuring that the U.S. economy is not undermined by a neighbor that refuses to act responsibly. In the end, the 25% tariff is a painful but unavoidable reckoning for a nation that has long shirked its duties. The survival of Mexico’s economy depends entirely on its willingness to change course—and fast.

I am a Canadian. Moved to Houston and lived there for eight years....there is nothing pleasant about living in the United States. Sorry but you guys fail even the basic courtesies of life. Was relieved to get back to Canada and get rid of my sidearms! Hospitals and clinics in the U.S. want proof of insurance or they can refuse to even look at you! In Canada no clinic or hospital can turn you away....and we have the Good Samartan law here...meaning you can't be sued for helping someone in an emegency. I actually knew a person in Houston who made her living suing people and companies just because it was easy money....try that here...lmao. To sum it up....living in Canada has the most appeal for me. Now, 2025, I would not even cross the border...too dangerous...trump tards everywhere and who knows when you will be on thier target list.

I think it is about time Indians should know that these foreign places are not paradise and just stay where you are until changes have been made, such as Trump coming to office and few elections in Europe. Nothing at this point is set in stone.

This guy served in the Obama administration and the previous trump administration and has solved nothing. To say he’s been ineffective is an understatement. Do some research echo chamber.

So in short, trust nothing the trump administration says and prepare for the world to burn. \n\nCanada should strongly consider investing in nuclear deterrents. Maybe not for now but for the future…

Mexico has no leverage on this. If they try to even retaliate on trade they will sink. They have nothing to use against the US because their government is corrupt. In the end they will do what Trump say's that's for sure.

Lets call a spade a spade. Felon elect Trump is far more accurate than president elect. There is nothing presidential about this convicted criminal. Lets be real. Still awaiting sentencing. We can brace ourselves for four more years of crimes.

Mexico isn't your backyard-it's your trade partner.\nThis relationship isn't charity; it's mutually beneficial. Blaming Mexico for substance use issues ignores your responsibility as the largest demand drivers. Treat Mexico like a partner, not an incompetent employee, and take responsibility for your share of the problem. Blaming Mexico for the fentanyl issue is like an alcoholic blaming the bottle shop, even junior is an coke addict Claudia Sheinbaum has more balls than Donald Trump. It's about time someone stood up to n Trump and promised him a dose of his own medicine. Well done Mexico. Trump claims to be a gifted negotiator, but all he is is a self-glorifying bully. Claudia Sheinbaum has more balls than\nDonald\nTrump. But it is not Mexico and Canada who has a drug problem. It is America:) Americans don't realize how much they have advanced and grown, and know nothing of their marvelous culture. My president is an award winning environmental scientist with MULTIPLE degrees. We got it right!\nViva Mexico ??

Lying CNN fake news - Mexico done nothing, people stop coming when Trump told them he's sending them back. Why Pay cartel 10,000 US to be sent home?
|

CNN is all lies.\nMexico has done nothing to control migration.\nNOW it will.\nI am 100% sure of that.\nMexico will go down!!!\nRemember the song Yo soy el rey,\nMexican macho goes down, down.\nThe economy of Mexico will go down, down.\nWhat Trump said will be DONE.
|
| 2024-11-28 | 0 |
Trump will bring USA to its knees, by isolating US from other countries. Trump is nothing more than destroyer of US economy. Poverty and crime under Trump will skyrocket.
|
| 2024-11-28 | 0 |
Mexico or Canada's response to Trump tariffs mean nothing. Mexico and Canada will do what they're told or be completely cut out of the American economy. Mexico and Canada take orders they do not give them. Dollar for dollar free trade, after that 100% tariffs.
|
| 2024-11-28 | 0 |
lol why do the brainless sheep believe trump when he says China is paying for the tariffs?? - nothing could be further from the truth - it is the usa importers who pay the tariffs and they in turn pass on those increased costs to the american consumers. So when trump says he will put 60% tariffs on Chinese goods, it means that the american consumers will have to pay at least 60% more for those goods.
|
| 2024-11-28 | 0 |
Trump, despite his self acclaimed reputation as an “economic genius”, would likely never raise taxes on the ultra-wealthy and ensure corporations pay their fair share, as many currently pay nothing. Balancing the budget would also require curbing excessive military spendings, and if necessary, asking Americans to contribute slightly more, all to address our $36 trillion debt. It’s time to move beyond “art of the deal” Donald and focus on the real solution - CUT THE FRINGES AT THE BOTH END tough guy!
|

she's going to learn a hard lesson and regret why she is the president of Mexico. her letter says nothing, but her fears channeled with ego that he won't dare. we're talking about trump here. trump does what he says!

Again going behind Trump back. When the border was wide open, nothing was said about Biden.\nLet Trump do his job. Support him. Enough of all those negative comments about Trump.
