Please stay away from Canada I moved here and I regret it every day. I'm a citizen through my parents and getting my certificate took YEARS which stopped me from being able to go to school or work which means years of my adult life wasted that could have been put to much better use for something that wasn't even my fault. I also lost good opportunities too because of it!!!! Not happy especially since I genuinely needed the money. I won't forgive Canada for that. Also everything here is really expensive and the selection is just not very good. Also work opportunities are not as good as in the US. Anyways I finally got my certificate and got my life started up again just over 2 years ago, but I still often think of returning to the US after just being here for 4.5 years. I now warn some of my US friends not to go to Canada just for the hype if they mention it. I also know of a friend who moved here and left after 1 year, they came to hate it here.

Fun fact… When prisoners of the United States are being transported from point a to point B they are handcuffed in shackled for safety reasons! Let’s just say hypothetically there were 100 people on board this plane who are not happy about going back home and you’re lucky if you maybe have 3 to 4 soldiers watching over these 100 people and they weren’t handcuffed and shackled… What do you think is gonna happen? They are going to rush these soldiers and kill them. And then they are going to go after the pilot. If somebody does not want to go home to their native country, they will run the risk of dying rather than touching down on their native land soil.

There been a number of suicides amongst Indian students, some have been hooked on drugs, some girls have turned to prostitution and many girls have been sexually take advantage by their Indian / Punjabi landlords and employers. The situation is dire. My advice: Stay in India, the education is better, the social life is better, the food is better, the vibe is better. Money is not everything. Being happy is. To buy an average detached home (bungalow) in Toronto / Vancouver is over C$1 million. To qualify for a mortgage with 20% down payment, one would need an income of $200,000. You broke into this country. Come to the US the legal way and you wouldn't of been in chains. I have a few friends from India, and they came here legally, and got their degree's, became citizens, and living a happy life here in America. If you came here illegally, you should of registered where ever you were supposed to be registered and filled out the proper paper work. There are offices everywhere that will help you with the process of becoming a legal citizen.

As an addict in recovery. Those who know can attest. We can think to help others if we don’t help ourselves first. It’s horrible yes and we shouldn’t be happy about not being able to help these people, but we need to think of ourselves first! That way we can be able to handle helping others.
