So problem I think is not in emigrants itself but in government who does nothing. Government doesnt want to solve home crysis which have been here since 2010 not 2024, same government does nothing with job market and the same government doesnt supply emigration program with enough jobs .

This has nothing to do with immigrants, China, the US, Japan, etc. have a higher population than Canada and are smaller in size. Complaining about issues won't solve them but just makes it worse. Born and day raised here. Immigration is out of control as is all all the social services, bailouts, and specials needs funding. Rhis created a huge debt to income defeciet that anyone with any brains could see coming a mile away. We are also forcing ourselves out of any useful manufacturing and were fooled by the government that mass immigration would solve all the problems. It did the opposite. It was great 30 years ago. Still, I don't know where you could go that is better. Racism was almost gone and the complainers brought it back by wanting to be more than equal.

I think it is the quality of the immigrants that come to Canada that needs to be analysed. If too many low skilled or people with unemployable skills are granted visas, then any country, let alone Canada, would seem like a tough country to settle and earn. Canadian govt seems to be lenient in allowing too many unemployable ppl to get into the country. This has resulted in an imbalance. It just needs a strong govt which Canada lacks at this point in time. 90% of the problems can be solved within 4 to 5 years if govt stops or regulates visas.

You should tell us how many Indian immigrants actually went back to India . Not many . I have seen 20% interest rate here and you think 5% interest rate is high . Indian community is the richest immigrant community in North America . People move to United States and move back to Canada which is normal . 17.5% left Canada but 82.5% are still here , what does that tell you ? There is housing shortage and that will be solved in time . A lot of these problems are caused due to covid shutdown and excessive immigrants coming from India . Question should be asked why so many leaving India ? In 2021 and 2022 , about 900000 Indian immigrants came to Canada and 2023 will likely be close to half a million . We Indian may not like cold weather but we are very comfortable in inside house . So far this year I only had to shovel snow twice and not for months . There is no shortage of job opportunities but One need to be flexible of courier . Canada still tops in most standards and consistently in top 10 among all countries of the world .

Every business that hire these people should get a $50,000 fine and lose their business license. Problem solved! No work, no invaders!

Finally some good decision by this goverment. Coming as an international student to actually study my self I am proud I want to best university and completed my degree properly. I have worked in private colleges and back then I literally saw the way the system worked. Me and my coworkers sounded alaram way before the economics of this problem, I am glad now that situation is solved now goverment needs to thourly check each student for there REL document in english especially from India. They buy real document becuase their are Ielts employes from india who sell them. Pleae check properly the documents of each indian student!!

It is not about the overall number, but the numbers of international students concentrated in certain areas that are overwhelming the infrastructure of those host communities. If there were a system in place that diversified their destination schools across Canada and better regulated those predatory fly-by-night institutions in the larger centres that outright lie to students to get their money, the problem would be solved.

The Trudeau government massively messed this up. Trudeau and his naive idealism without any downstream planning or collaborating with the Provinces and major Municipalities. Massive increase in immigration, and more significantly massive influx of refugees and temporary workers are all Federal responsibilities. The Trudeau government is using foreign students influx as a fault, because it deflects the issue of the lack of housing on students. Wagging the dog will not solve this problem.

Canada cannot begin to solve our problems if they keep introducing hundreds of thousands of problems every year. The “schools” are scams and the whole thing is strangling Canadian progress while Canadians keep paying more for less.

Require the universities to provide housing included with tuition for international students. That would solve several problems (it would make it more difficult for the diploma mills, for starters).

Canada has become just a sink for skilled immigrants, including international students. These people could have solved many problems if they were given opportunities. Canada is not the right place for skilled immigrants including international students.

Why you are hiring immigrants from other countries such as in Asia but you cannot solve the homeless problem? why there is no rehabilitation center for drug addicts same in SE Asia?

Maybe the same zeal is needed to condemn extremism at home. When governments create problems they should try to solve them too before running to tag and cobdemn everybody but themselves.

Something is very rotten in this world.. The governments of these countries heavily criticise The West but at the end of the day, their refugees from their countries come flocking to us for a better life.. Fleeing is easy! If you really want a better life, you need to work hard and push against your leaders to demand that your voice is heard! offering asylum is the humane thing to do yes, but it's not helping solve any problems. The problem is obvious, realestate value mismanagement because the rise of value comes from the land while buildings depreciate. Over valuation of realestate can lead to homelessness and oversaturated immigration capacity exacerbates the domicile issue. Zoning laws and lack of housing diversity types as a tool, limits a city's ability to solve issue of homelessness and rising cost housing.
