@AlinaMcleod This was a pretty good video, I think it is not a fair video about the city. Toronto is a safe place to live and like anywhere else on earth crime happens. I have travelled around the World and usually in Urban areas. I was in Toronto recently (Sept 2023), like most big cities in the World it suffers from the standard problems. I watched the video and the cuts of Toronto are really nice.\n\n Homelessness in general is a terrible thing, but what city doesn't have homeless?? What major city is affordable? Rent in New York is about $5000 USD for 1 bedroom and we are not talking about something luxurious, in a great neighbourhood. \n\nBig Cities come big problems. We all have to make more of an effort to help change things, not just in politics but at the person-to-person level. People are suffering around the World with homelessness, crime, drug use, mental health and etc. Most of us just focus on what we can have and totally forget about the other humans that we share this planet with.

That wasn’t an easy video to make, Alina. You were more diplomatic than I am about my hometown NYC. I left when I was 35. Crime, costs and homelessness are through the roof. Not even the rich can afford it anymore. New York and Toronto are great places to be from, but they are no longer meant to be lived in.

Housing costs are crazy here in Toronto...I lost my apt ...(740 sq. ft. - one bedroom)...which I had in Etobicoke at the end of Covid Jan. 2022 ...( My rent started at $940/month in 2016 and to just a tad over $1000/month in 2022. I Was on welfare during Covid 2020-2022)... Welfare only pays $733 for a single male (Welfare recipients weren't eligible for that CERB that paid every 2 weeks so I had to sell most of my furniture and cherished antiques to survive...Lost my apt...couldn't afford it anymore and I ended up in my sister's basement for 3 months but moved to a rooming house in the east end of Toronto at the end of April. Thank God that I got a job working in a hospital as a janitor...Still, I pay $650 a month for a room that is about 75 square feet....I've seen closets bigger...I share 4 washrooms and one laundry room with one washer and dryer and a laundry tub (This is the main source of water for cooking) with 26 other roomers...There is no kitchen and no lounge area...So yeah Housing is Fuked Up here in Toronto!... I was so close to being homeless...I do not work full-time. I am only on-call so I am at least able to make ends meet but still, it's hard surviving here in the big city...I was born here and grew up here and this city may have changed on the surface but beneath it, it's rotting to the core and it's getting worse every day!.... Love your vids by the way :)

In my opinion, people from Asia and Africa have too many kids, and it is the fault of their parents and grandparents because they influence them to have large families. Then they whine and moan about how they cant make it. Here is a solution: HAVE NO CHILDREN OR ONE CHILD so things can balance out. The planet cannot afford to sustain such a large human population.

This guy lives on a beautiful farm in India, obviously makes good money (if he can afford a western lifestyle for his child) and wants to send his daughter to Toronto where 99% of people are depressed work horses living paycheque to paycheque in a dystopian concrete jungle LMFAOOOO like whaaaaaaaaat.

Benefits and costs are two sides of the same coin. The costs you pay often (but not always) help raise the quality of life around you. A high car insurance modulates one's behavior, say, to be a more responsible driver on the road. Affordability of the basic necessities ensures minimum dignity for those in less paid services - say, a cleaner or a cop - and discourages them to be careless or corrupt. The structures and norms of a society can make it a lot easier for common folks to be decent to others as a rule rather than as an exception.

The most depresssing factor of canada is it's weather...\nIntially i was not realizing it bt it just dawned on me that how important is sunlight for your body and also for your mental health especially in winters......yahan pe sirf 3 mahine hi suraj rehta hai..june july and August .... september se leke may mid tak.rarely you will get a glimpse of sunlight...\nI mean you wake-up every morming nd its always dark and gloomy outside from September end till april end....you dpnt feel like doing anything...especially in winter's you wake up at 9 o'clock and 4 oclock its dark.....you have no idea how much it effects your mental health...people get depressed mentally and also gets deficit of vitamin d...also government have legalized Marijuana and saying oh it will make your mind feel happy and you will not get stressed anymore...i mean how come...government is killing you softly..they dont want you to think higher..they want you to leave behind....i realized most of the people suffer from knee pain..joint pain bcoz they dont get enough sunlight ....\nI read somewhere that most of the suicide case happens inthe month of January bcoz this is the month when people get more depressed....i must say comparatively to canada india is the best place to stay ....you will get sunlight whole year... also in Toronto there is no such social life as india ...so much taxes by the government...houses are getting expensive.....all you r doing is just work , come home. I am from Cameroon, I am an assistant télécommunications engineer since 2016. I had the grace to be recruited by the end of my final year by a foreign company BUT, they are using holes in our labor law in Cameroon. The fact is for 6 years now, I am a temporary worker with monthly renewable contracts even though I am working at the same position for 6 years . The irony being, I barely make 500 usd per month, no salary increase for 5 years and with my wife and kid we can just afford to live day by days. No way for me to save some money. I made the maths: even if I work as a janitor in Canada, I can at least same some money for my child future. I am planning to move to Canada. It will always be better than the Bullshit I am through in my own country

This Canadian lived in Orange County CA for 10 years. I took my the 12 year old with me. I had been offered my dream job and was paid enough to have a good standard of living. However, I lived in an immigrant community to save money as I found many of the high schools were horrid compared to Canada. I had not realized the school to school inequality to be so extreme and my kid changed to independent study at home. So with a Canadian elememtary education, they graduated high school a year only while skipping no courses..\n\nMy kid had medical issues and even with good HMO insurance, we could never get a decent diagnosis until it had gotten so bad that their digestive system was so wrecked. I finally sent them back to Canada for the surgery that we could not get in the USA. It seemed the insurance companies kept getting in the way. And in one case a doctor went all religious on us. After 6 years of almost continuous pain they finally got relief for a decade until the prior damage came back to haunt them However, after a year of university ib Canada my kid went to a private university in the eastern USA. They have decided to remain in the USA and now in their mid 30s, they make really good money anf have top line medical insurance which pays for the ongoing care they need because of the damage caused by delays when a teenager. \n\nI found life in the suburbs of Orange County nice but the OC is not a good place to meet people. When after 10 years there, in 2010 I returned to Vancouver to care for my elderly mother. I had been living alone for 6 years by then and was offered the first job in Vancouver anything close to me dream job there. and I returned to Canada at age 59. I had been approved for a green card in 2008 but there was a 6 year wait for it to come through. But I noticed the racism in the USA start breaking out all over the place when Obama got elected. And it has gotten worse and worse every year. Especially with 45 enabling it so much. \n\nMy circle of friends in Southern California are mainly good people and not at all like what we call MAGA-hats now. Except one who thinks 45 was the greatest. Politically, the USA is on the path that Germany was on in 1933 and I fear for the US Democracy if the Orange One gets in again. Even my kid and their spouse have bug out plans to head to Canada just in case. This is why my kid, while having a green card has never taken US citizenship. Besides, being a Canadian has not affected things the two times they got security clearances \n\nWhile most Americans are good people, it seems that about 25% have gone just plain loco and care nothing about democracy. And appear to prefer the USA to be a totalitarian theocracy \n\nI was there long enough, paying the maximum FICA taxes for 10 years to get a small pension from Social Security and I have Medicare Part A. I can afford to buy parts B and D but I see no reason. I have even better coverage in Canada for way less cost. The USA has a nice warm climate in many places and I just loved that. But otherwise y'all have too many people who want to turn the place into an intolerant police state and to return the country to 1950s levels of intolerance, So in my retirement, I will stay here in Canada. Even though I could go and move in with my kid in the USA and get onto US Medicare.

As an American, I'm sorry our private healthcare system has taken your doctors. What's even more scary about that statistic is many Americans can't even afford the doctors we have, so at least Canadians have equal healthcare opportunities even though they have to wait. Many Americans don't even get the luxury to wait. If only America caught up to public healthcare policies the global system would be more fair and we'd have people becoming doctors because they love it, not because it makes them rich.

Born and raised in Canada for 64 years, working middle class all my life has shown me that in the last 2 decades the middle class here keep moving towards poverty because of the increased cost of living and taxes. I will likely have to leave my own country when I retire soon and am resentful that all my years of hard work leads to that. Its a choice between living on the streets or moving away. Our government has catered to the wealthy and given false rhetoric about making sure the middle class working Canadians have a decent life. At $2800 for a 1 bedroom apartment, $2 a litre for gas, high car insurance rates, lower wages than other major cities. My tax dollars pay for public parks that now charge to park in them so only the rich can afford to go. That’s just one example of the poor and middle class getting screwed over.

I have mixed feelings about this video. This video does a good job outlining the immigration process but it does not highlight any of the negative consequences of immigration that Canada is experiencing. One of the main reasons why cost of living is so high in Toronto and Vancouver is precisely because we have so many immigrants coming in without enough housing supply. This is by design because politicians and the upper class have a vested interest in keeping real estate prices high because so much of their net worth is tied up in the housing market.\n\nAnother negative is that employers hire immigrants working low skilled jobs and pay them less than Canadians because the immigrants are willing to be taken advantage of since they're just happy to have a job in Canada which pays better than their country. \n\nAnother myth that gets repeated is that Canadian takes immigrants out of compassion and unfortunately a lot of Canadians believe this. It was never about compassion, it's about bringing more people to 1) pay taxes to support our social welfare as Canadian birth rates decline and boomers retire, 2) keep housing costs high and 3) pay immigrants lower wages for the same work because immigrants are fine being exploited since they have a job in a first world country.\n\nAnother problem is the cultural shift. In the most immigrant-dense regions you'll find that many immigrants themselves surprisingly don't want more immigrants coming to Canada because they see these negative consequences. The people who are most pro-immigration have no problem cramming 8+ people in a basement and exploiting their labour because they make enough money to live in communities that immigrants can't afford, and so they don't have to deal with the cultural shift that's taking place. This is NOT the fault of immigrants, but rather the politicians who put economic growth over quality of life. Over HALF the people in the GTA weren't born in Canada, so they didn't go through our school system and have no connection to our culture. Canada is unfortunately going to become very racist over the next 10-20 years as Canadians start feeling like outsiders in their own country. It's somehow considered racists to criticize the effect of multiculturalism on social unity, yet the cultures we accept in Canada only became distinct cultures because of monoculturalism.

And immigration is now killing Canada.\nWe bring in far too many people compared to how many new homes we build and now the pricing of housing has DOUBLED.\nAlmost every city has tent cities because people can't even afford to pay rent on a 1 bedroom apartment.\nIn Toronto for example, you have to make $40 an hour just to afford a 1 bedroom apartment.

Guy clearly isn’t a Canadian, our system is very very broken, it is making it pretty much impossible to afford a house, social services are completely overloaded, and it’s to expensive to really live anymore. Not to mention how it is suppressing wages.

Canada needs to completely overhaul It's zoning laws. ban single family zoning completely, get rid of parking minimums, get rid of minimum lot sizes, get rid of setback requirements, get rid of all the things that make it so difficult to build affordable housing in that country.

Canada's playing the long game, they slowly allowing foreigner's to buy up all their homes until poor Canadians can no longer afford to live in the country.\n\nThis isn't a anti-foreigner issue either, many countries limit house buying to residents of the country, or at least living there semi regularly. You see absolutely rundown homes in Canada selling for 1-2 million.\n\nHard to see why there is more second, and third home purchasers yearly than first time home owners. You have a market open to the world, and force the folks living there to compete.\n\nIt makes home ownership impossible for hundreds of thousands of hard working citizens, as the homes are very limited, the pool of buyers is vast, and new supply is dwarfed by current demand.

If it were up to me the USA would make citizenship even harder. We should cap it at 10,000 per year, you must have an extrordinary degree, and come with 500k in cash. Any crimes committed in the first five years and you'll be deported immediatly and any kids you had on US soil would be joining you. We cannot sell out the citizens already here just to keep up with the world economy and ever lasting profits. We need have compassion for those suffering on US streets and those who cannot afford homes.

One thing I would like to note is that Canada is not welcoming in only highly skilled workers. If you can work at a Tim Horton's you qualify. This has lead to a flood of new workers who HAVE to have a job in order to stay at a time where the existing labour pool is refusing work due to pay lagging far behind inflation for two decades. Those salaries discrepancies you listed are not exclusive to the tech sector, they are economy wide. Often you'll here talk of a labour shortage in Canada, but ask for the number of applicants to jobs and you quickly find out the reason no one accepted is because the full-time job offered requires a part-time job to barely make ends meet. \n\nAnother factor is that housing happens to be the bread and butter of ~40% of our MP's. Hell our Minister of Housing himself owns properties that have appreciated massively due to the lack of supply and high demand. He then goes on national TV and says high immigration will solve the housing crisis despite Canada already having over 4% of our entire labour force already in the construction industries (America is a little over 3%) and the men and women who build our houses being unable to afford the homes they build ($22.07/hr CAD average or ~$16.66 USD. compared to $22.29/hr USD). 14% of our national GDP is housing. 14% of our entire economy is just money changing hands internally with nothing of value made. \n\nThen you have the combo of landlords benefiting from the immigration programs who try and evict the tenants on their properties to replace them with immigrant labour. They then take the cost of rent right out of their salaries. The workers can't quit their jobs because if they don't have a job they are at risk of being deported and also loosing their homes so they end up shacking 8 to an apartment to try and make ends meet. This becomes the standard the rest of the economy has to meet. \n\nIt is a rare sight to see someone who is anti-immigrant in Canada, but the majority of people here understand that immigration is a problem the way it is currently run. You have people who come here hoping for a new life being forced to sleep outside under bridges because while they may have a job they don't have a home and the shelters are already 200% capacity. Tent cities are the norm in any major urban centre now. There are crack dens in Toronto that are the same price as Castles in the UK. And this problem is only going to get worse.

This isn't really apples to apples. \nYou're comparing Google to Shopify?\nThat gap exists in the us as well. Plus, the housing in the us isn't affordable at the tech hubs. bay area has 1 million dollar shacks and if you're making Google type money you most likely can't move to a cheaper state unless you want your pay cut.

I'm homeless with two kids and can't get any help or any housing, born in the United States. If we aren't able to afford housing or get any help..what makes them think we can help them out. I work 2 jobs btw living in my SUV with my kids, it's sucks but that's just how it is now

So many wrong informations about Australia..\ni was feeling so frustrated while listening their lack of knowledge..\n1. Students on average make 1500$ per week tax and cash (no need to mention about cash to even your closed ones) ; means students can afford everything in Australia.\n2. On work Visa: you get more opportunities for professional jobs but people prefer odd jobs where money is so good i.e security, uber taxi etc.\n3. Employer insurance: your employer pays 10% of your pay as superannuation funds and life insurance as well. (In canada, employer deduct it from your own pay i.e. EI)\n4. Sydney night life has no comparison, there are so many suburbs, areas, restaurants that are open till 1am.\n5. Sydney city is open till 3am from friday to sunday.\n6. Many beaches to explore.\nAustralian students have better life styles than PRs of Canada.\n7. Job opportunities are unlimited in sydneyz\nOverall there is no comparison of Canada and Australia . \nMay be i missed many points but tried to mention it here because they are misleading those who are confused between Aus and Canada.

We have McDonalds and Starbucks here in Canada, even in small towns PLUS we have Tim Hortons everywhere! I have lived in both countries and much prefer Canada. The very idea of another Trump presidency makes me literally ill. In Alberta our healthcare is free, no monthly payment and there is affordable drug coverage both through private and provincial government provided. The Canadian education system is far superior.

I lived in the bay area California for a time and I would go back. But now with a family I share the same three recurring concerns expressed.\n\nBut really would love that weather again. Now the concern would be getting a job paying well enough to actually afford to live there as well for a family-sized home.\n\nLiving in Toronto area, it is expensive here already, but somehow I would need to make double or more salary to make it in California.

I've always wanted to live in the US, so many happy vacations there as a child and teen. Sadly now due to the health care situation, there's no way I could. If someone makes a lot of money and can afford private insurance and the drugs they need, lucky for them. Especially as a diabetic, the price of insulin is around 5 x in the US what it is here. I don't earn enough to afford the drugs I need if I lived in the US, add in every three month blood work, dr visits, for a self employed person, it's just not doable on what I earn. \n\nAn American I talk to said one of his co workers was being laid off and the co worker was a diabetic and he didn't know what he was going to do without the health insurance the company provided him. It's insane health insurance is tied to employment in the US. people that are self employed would have huge private insurance bills, and people that get laid off or are fired, they could be taking thousands of dollars of drugs a month and all of a sudden it's gone with the job. My mom wouldn't even let us go to the US for a weekend without getting out of the country medical insurance coverage.

For all the amazing things the US has to offer, right now we don't even want to visit there, let alone move there. We've talked about it a lot, but nope. In Canada, generally speaking (although there are exceptions to every rule) we have no idea what political leaning our neighbors favor. Political campaigns last no more than 51 days; they do not start the day after the last election and go on for years. This way, elected officials actually do some work instead of campaigning. Right now, the politics in the US, as well as the judiciary, are literally insane. Gun violence in the US is insane, as is the attitude towards guns. It shouldn't take a shooting that affects you personally to make you care about it, and it's not just at schools. The US has had 28 mass killings, with 140 victims, in 6 months... but the problem is that no one down there cares about that enough to stop it, or even discuss ways to stop it. The politics is so sold out to corporations that what is good for the people just doesn't matter. It is capitalism run amok. Environmental protections? They are an inconvenience, and most of them were rolled back a few years ago under the presidency of He Who Must Not Be Named. So politics, elections, shootings... but wait. There's more. I have a wonderful friend in the US who has amazing health care, and yet when he got cancer, he was screwed. We do pay a health care premium up here, but it is a drop in the bucket compared to what people in the US pay for private insurance. Yes, you have the best hospitals in the world, but it doesn't matter if you can't afford to walk in the door. Now dump the intolerance -- racism, homophobia, religious zealots, misogyny (yes, I am talking women's rights, equal pay, access to health care, etc) -- throw in the crazies with guns, and now ask the question again. I absolutely know that Canada is not perfect, and that the tolerances and attitudes towards all these subjects differs from region to region, but overall we are a country that tries to respect the rights and needs of others, that has empathy for others, that wants to help others, and that is a pretty firm foundation to make us want to stay here. (please don't interpret this as all Americans and all areas of the US have no respect etc... but the predominant issues of health care, politics, religion, corporate greed, and violence, now all supported by a bat-crap crazy SCOTUS, sadly spills and taints it all. I know there are amazing, generous, kind people all over the US, but I don't know where the crazies are or where they might pop up).

No, I wouldn’t. I just moved from Vancouver to London, uk. Lots of people asked why I didn’t move to New York. Main reason is health care. I’m a self employed hairstylist and no one is providing health care for me. Second is gun violence in general, mass shootings are a big issue, just because it hasn’t happened in your small city, doesn’t mean it won’t. Mass shootings are just the most extreme version of gun violence. I don’t want the people walking down the street next to me to possibly be carrying a gun on them. That is truly terrifying to me. Third is that politics are so extreme and so prevalent. Lastly the fact that women’s rights are being taken away. I absolutely cannot support a country with very little benefits and aid for those who cannot afford to have a child, that then makes them have a child. That’s the briefest way I can explain my feelings, I could go on and on, but I’ll leave it at that. \n\nThe only benefit I see in moving to the us from Canada is for certain opportunities, and those come in big cities, so there’s absolutely no point in moving to then live in a small city. \n\nI appreciate that you’re being introspective as you go through the video. Unfortunately gun violence is a massive one for many Canadians, even when they travel to the us. Now that I’m in London, I hear a lot of the same sentiments being mirrored by the Brits. No one wants to lose their health and safety just to move to the us. It’s sad that, even as you represented, most Americans have settled into just accepting these problems, when they don’t need to be there.

I ‘ve met so many Americans on trips and through living in San Francisco for 3 months for a course. They were very kind, thoughtful and knowledgeable people. I also love many beautiful places in the States. I find though, that the media ignores Canada to a great degree only reporting negative issues . I don’t care for the super nationalism of the government, the gun laws, the many wars they’ve been involved in, nor do I like the racism and the present divisiveness of the country given that a person like Trump could be voted in and have so much power! That is frightening! I could never have afforded my two hip and knee replacements as well as other surgeries and the birth of four children had I lived there consequently, I would make friends with Americans who move here withthe same principles, but no to moving to the United States OF America.I was happy to return to beautiful Vancouver Island, (which was voted one of the top Islands in the world by CNN, Time magazine and Conde Nast, )

Greetings from Vancouver ??\nI often travel to see friends in Seattle, San Francisco, Santa, Anna, and Phoenix.\nI do enjoy doing some visiting and some travel, but I always feel on edge primarily because of the bat shit crazy people that have guns down. There is absolutely amazing and not in a good way. Don’t get me wrong I’m a Canadian gun owner here, but, I believe and sensible gun laws.\nI couldn’t do without a universal healthcare, affordable prescription, drugs, and federally legalised cannabis. \nAmnesty International has had a travel advisory about the US for a few years, now advising people not to travel due to the level of violence that occurs daily . Averaging one mass shooting a day and last year. I do believe there is 40 score shootings. To me is more than enough reason, never to advise anyone to move to the US. And women should have complete autonomy over their own body and make their own decisions.

Canadians who say that they'd never move to the USA fall into these groups:\n\nA) Ignorant: People who get their news about the USA from the CBC or any of the other MSM FAKE NEWS outlets.\n\nB) Leftists/Liberals: People who would only ever move to Leftist/Liberal havens, such as New York, California or Washington; and they're aware of how those states are extremely dangerous, with violent crime on the rise, extremely high taxes and fascist governments that make Trudeau look good.\n\nC) The Elderly: Unfortunately, most elderly people in Canada are on a fixed income; and the meager healthcare they're allowed to receive is still far better than anything they can afford in the USA.\n\nI'd consider moving to a number of states in the USA. It's a great country... great people (even many DemoKKKrat voters aren't as terrible as the people they elect).

I was a teenager when my church youth group went on a trip to help repair houses for poor Americans, while I was there I had a crash on an atv and it didn’t appear life threatening so I didn’t go to the emergency room while I was in the states. I am on disability, the government gives me enough money for food and rent. I am currently working with my health care team to figure out if I have brain damage and if that brain damage is why I have problems that make it so I can’t work. My family wouldn’t be able to afford to get proper health care in the United States.

The local hospital I work at has to close due to lack of nurses. That means people who need urgent care need to drive 45 minutes plus to get the help they need. Wanna know why? Because people can afford the rent required to go to school on the first place! Does the Canadian government expect Nursing students to sleep in the streets at night and study in the day? Good luck making that plan work at -40° C outside.

Lack of affordable housing -- lack of housing in general -- is the main reason people already living here are being priced out and why so many refugees and immigrants cannot afford the cost when they move here. When these people come to Canada for a better life and/or to escape the suffering that they were living in, they cannot bring their homes with them. It is the government's responsibility at all levels to ensure that these newcomers have a place to go when they come here. A homeless shelter should not be the answer. Buy up office spaces and convert them (if safe to do so with whatever codes need to be met) into affordable housing units. For years we've been seeing hundreds of news articles about vacancies in office buildings being at all time highs, yet only a handful of them are being converted. 500,000 people a year entering a country where there isn't enough housing for them (let alone the people living here already) is irresponsible on the government's part. If this is your pledge, at least give these people a better life and not send them to shelters or onto the streets as soon as they arrive. If Canada is to truly be a safe haven for immigrants and refugees escaping their hardships, it's paramount that the government does what it can to make these people actually feel like their life will change for the better. I'm all for immigration since it helps the economy and knowing that Canada can put people in a better position for themselves and their families, but it's the lack of preparation from the governments that makes me question their pledge in this way.

My mom and brother are in Canada. I'm trying to move her to Texas with me. I make great money in Real Estate and IT. She doesn't want to leave Toronto, even though she can't afford it. I travel back and forth to drop money for her. All though she doesn't ask me, I know it helps. We're all from Jamaica and unfortunately I was separated from her for 30 years. I'm glad, I'm in a position to take care of her. If I can only convince her to leave Canada for good. My little brother wants to come to America with me.

So now everyone is making real estate agents as their Hero who does not add value but pump up the prices taking advantage of fraud and flawed system. 90% of these agents know people cannot afford anything but they let the deal happen.

We do not owe them a debt. They (or any other migrant) are not entitled to become US citizens solely bc their home country is in turmoil. Sympathy can only go so far but when you try to invade our country all sympathy is lost. As a Canadian here are my views on the problems here:\n1.Government waste/spending\n2. Insane taxes, we literally pay taxes on our tax here. When you add it all up the lower tax brackets after their 15% gst pay about 45% of their income in taxes alone. Provinces like Nova Scotia are disgusting when it comes to the tax they pay. \n3. Easy immigration, we should consider immigrants based on what they can do for Canada, we don't need hundreds of thousands who can't work or refuse to work. It's a strain on the system. The immigration also artificially increases housing costs.\n4.Government corruption, it's part of why the taxes are so high. It's also part of the recent hyperinflation Canada has suffered. Just look up Trudeaus WE charity Scandall or SNC Lavalin Scandal, some even say Trudeau was getting kickbacks from the vaccine which I have yet to see evidence of but I personally believe it. \n5. Politically illiterate voters and propaganda, here in Canada the government likes to keep it's people uninformed and how they do it is through propaganda. The Liberals have every major news source in Canada in their pocket and in order for you to get news that isn't influenced by them you have to specifically search for them by name, those include Rebel News, TFI Global, and True North. Almost everything else is incredibly biased, they selectively report the news and in many cases outright lie. This causes extreme political illiteracy in it's population.\n6. Housing rules, here in Canada there are some really stupid bylaws like the main floor of your primary dwelling must be 900sqft in some areas, plus building codes prevent cheap construction of homes. You could have a tiny home on piers and it wouldn't cost much but because of our laws and codes it's impossible. You need a proper foundation, footings, building permits, ad in order to get a permit you need to submit blueprints, etc. You can't just buy a prefab building set it on piers and live in it. That'd be too easy, that'd make housing affordable and the government wouldn't like that. \n7. Woke indoctrination centers, The public education system here is all about putting in regular kids and pumping out future Liberal voters. It's a mess.\n8. You can't defend yourself, In Canada you aren't allowed to carry a weapon for self defense. If a criminal breaks into your home you are supposed to do everything you can to escape rather than defend your property. Criminals have more protection under the law than the law abiding citizens. \n9. Low wages, because of immigration wages are low compared to the USA for most jobs in most locations\n10. Thigs cost more in Canada than the USA after taking into consideration currency conversion rates, even things manufactured in Canada\n11. The cold. Nobody likes the cold for the 4-6 months of the year that the higher populated areas of the country have it. The more densely populated areas also tend to be the warmest. \n12. Fascist leaders. It's no secret Justin Trudeau and the Liberals are fascists\n13. Governmental links to the WEF, you'll own nothing and you'll be happy or so their add said. The truth is Canadians can afford less and less under Liberal leadership which is no surprise since Justin Trudeau and Chrystia are supporters of the WEF.

Those are seldom legit. If the data comes from a study, always look to see who paid for it. And how large the sample size was; how were the participants selected? I wish Canada did more R&D. We have the talent and brains to be innovative, yet so many of us go work in the oil & natural gas sector because it pays handsomely.\nAlso to live in the most scenic provinces like BC and Ontario is crazy expensive. We moved from AB to BC in 2009 which my parents bought their house for $550,000 that's situated 40km East of Vancouver, and today their house is valued at 1.4 million... almost 3 times the original purchase price in just over a decade. Now an adult, my wife and I were forced to move back to Alberta and leave our families because we simply cannot afford to rent there nor ever have an honest shot at saving enough money to buy our own place. It is what it is and I'm sure it's a common theme that's not only exclusive to Canada, but man, it does sucks. I'm happy for any immigrants to move here and call Canada their home too, but many are loaded with money and purchase numerous properties just to then rent it out at an absurd rate because they can. It's fueling the problem worst and making it unfair for the born & raised Canadians.
