NY citizens should be livid. We have had many homeless veterans and AMERICANS for years. These people cannot be allowed into our country. This is terrible.

Canada does not take in” illegals “ unlike the USA…..they have a better Immigration system like other countries do & they don’t have “ just because an illegal gives birth citizen status because of ‘just being born’ there” either…only the US one country out of the entire globe has “ birth right”….Get rid of the sanctuary Cities & States

It's hard for U.S citizen to get into Canada yet people frome other countries can fly in no problems

I'm Canadian and totally a shame of our government under Justin Trudeau's open border policies Canadians DO NOT want any illegals immigrants in our country and certainly DO NOT want any to enter the USA. Justin Trudeau is a very evil, vile person who hates Canadian citizens.

If we stop the government handouts and welfare and start arresting criminals then illegal aliens are not going to be flooding the country trying to take advantage and robbing our citizens every way possible. Canada is supposedly going to make the 5 million or so migrations go back to their home country, but instead the vast majority of them are probably going to try to get into America illegally.

Decriminalizing hard drugs has lead to a rise in homelessness, overdoses, and theft/prostitution to make money to support those habits. These conditions also leave populations susceptible to outbreaks of disease that US healthcare is ill-equipped to deal with. Unregulated immigration results in gangs taking control of both the illegal immigrants and the communities they settle in. Trafficked immigrants are forced to work for the gangs or their families back in their home countries will be harmed. Because of sanctuary cities, law enforcement can't go after the gangs so the other illegal immigrants have no recourse.\n\nTLDR: Regulated, legal immigration creates opportunities for both immigrants and the host country. Unregulated illegal immigration harms both immigrants and the host country. Laws exist for a reason.

The taxpayers and citizens of the US have no responsibility to support these creatures. Their respective countries dump them here because it's the expedient thing to do. The countries that allow this need tariffs. At that point they'll be whipped into shape.

I sincerely don't understand why people have an issue with people who came here illegally getting deported. It's not at all racially motivated or discrimination. Whether they are serious criminals or just entered illegally - it is not right for them to be here, or be provided services paid for by tax paying Americans. As an educated American citizen, If I want to move to UK or European countries I have to jump through many hoops, prove I have my own money to support myself, and possibly meet a language requirement. Why is it that we just accommodate anyone who wants entry to USA? It baffles me. I have friends all upset about deportations and it's ridiculous. I can't understand why we bother to have any laws if we don't enforce them? I have 2 family members who immigrated here LEGALLY. That's the only way it should be allowed and we should up the requirements to gain entry as well.

As a US citizen, I am sad for both Canada and the US. We were great allies, and now that is gone. I wanted to move to Nova Scotia and start a new life doing my art and be a part of a culture I love. This is why it is so important to participate in the election process! The future is uncertain, but for those who care about our countries, we need to work together to bring back democracy and bring down the cost of living. It is insane what we are experiencing now!

How many people are willing to give up their passports to live in some Asian country for example, in the Middle East for example. Not many people for sure. The commentary here sounds so much like U.S. citizens griping, it's almost funny, but also sad. If I was a leader of the other countries I would be wonder wtf am I doing wrong to let tax payers flee... I mean citizens flee. My dad is an Indian migrant to Australia. He came here legally and worked his butt off for 40 years. To people commenting in the section about how this is unfair and complaining about it. Legal migrants don’t want you in their countries either. It ruins everyone’s reputation. Indians have largely been known to be model citizens. Participants in the western traditions and economic development. By going somewhere illegally you break that trust and let’s be honest the only ones that travel illegally don’t have an education nor considerable skills. That’s going to land you in trouble in any country. If you don’t want to be chained up. Then don’t break the law. As for the rest of it. Racism is going to exist no matter what. There are also dumb illiterate locals with no considerable skills. They need someone to blame for their own shortcomings in life. Leave them be.

Most other countries in the world will utilize deadly force to protect their borders. The free ride is over. They are all living here on U.S. citizens backs. The government of India should find ways to use the human resources locally. There has been a widespread anti-Indian sentiment in the West and in Australia. I fully understand and agree with why countries deny Indians visas. Indians do not follows rules, we behave inappropriately, we think that other countries also have the lawless and 'chalta hai' attitude that is prevalent in India. And lets not even talk about GDP. All Indians must remember this by-heart. India's rank in terms of per capita GDP is 140. Yes, just saying India's GDP is 3rd or 5th doesnt present the real picture. Per capita GDP is the better representation of the 'quality' of the citizens of a country. So let's be very clear about this
