I mean they are going to pay so many taxes I'm sure it will probably balance the budget and America won't default and continue to fall into a recession. I mean what we need is hundreds if not hundreds of thousands of undocumented people here eating our taxpayers dollars. Cmon isn't that the American way. Work hard all your life to give it away to some illegal who came here. Nothing makes me more proud than watching the govt take all my shit and give it to people who are really worthy of it. Who come from countries where thier govt makes it almost impossible to live so I would happily give all my material possession away to help like 9 or 10 Mexicans. Granted my house burnt down last week but the shirt on my back it's all yours I don't even need it in most states and local convience stores below the state of Virginia. What we need in this country is voters too. I mean all the people who died of covid who's going to fill the voter polls if the democrats don't give these refugees a free life. Not once have i lived off the government. I work my girl works. We’re having a kid. And things are getting really tight. Inflation is kicking our butts bills increased pay is the same. Were not married yet. We decided to try to seek some government help for at least food right. Shit is tough rn so if we can at least get some food we’ll be fine. We can’t get it technically my girl makes too much money. Why is that even a thing? You’re telling us no because we have too much money? Well we also have alot of bills. Regardless if we’re “middle class” that shit dont feel like it. Im broke af. I got 150 in the bank last me till the 15th. I deserve no help because i choose to help myself? That makes no sense. These people are going to get free housing, free food, Free Medical Care, Free education, of course it's not really free since it's coming directly out of the taxpayers pockets. eventually American citizens are going to have to compete with these people for housing, jobs, Medical Care, education, Etc, which will only make prices for all of those things rise. There is absolutely horrible living in Canada. The country is so freaking cold. Home prices are ridiculously high. It takes 20 years or more to save for a 20% down payment on the purchases of homes. High income and consumption taxes make it impossible to save money. Rents are 2/3 of an individual's monthly income. Food costs are very high due to recent inflation. Most Canadians are unable to pay bills more than $500. Yet, Canada wants to attract more immigrants by promoting this country as a nice country to live.

They are cause the rest of us to suffer greatly on our needs of living ...they are hurting thiere kids ...doing this by getting caught and putting them on the streets .and going days with out eating !! And having appropriate place to sleep. We as American s. Will suffer greatly as right now our in what you call recession...and still struggling to get on our feet. The president needs to set in stone that they need to go back to thiere home country and start asking for help on the needs of living servival. It's the president here ... Send them back why keep helping migrants when all these homeless Americans people. The government don’t put them in Motels or give them health care. Some migrants get free homes pay no rent or utilities I saw a article about it. There need to be stricter regulations and Americans people come first look at all those homeless families needing free housing and utilities and food. Every time you call a bank or somewhere you get a non-English speaking person and everything get all confused and messed up. Give Americans people their jobs back. Close the border every 5 or 10 years reopen for two weeks make them stay where ever they come from. Look how thaws Americans are getting killed in Mexico and look how they set there mattress on fire at the border detention center. Barricade all borders and if you come across any border crossing they be punished put them on the chain gang or something. Use force if needed .. !

Over 300,000 homeless veterans wander the streets searching for food and shelter currently. Dying at an estimated rate of 22 a day due to self inflicted harm….the system in place to take care of them and provide comprehensive medical care is crippled and broken….every SINGLE ONE of these men and women has a head full of bad memories and experiences from defending their country in war (some missing limbs)….can’t hold a job and have trouble finding a job….NOONE is making substantial and reinforced efforts to care for these brave men and women. Yet, if you cross that border illegally you’re given shelter (free stay at 5star hotels in NYC sound nice)…comprehensive medical care…food stamps and even job placement for some. And in some cases, we’re providing that help to individuals who are simply making a pit stop between Mexico and Canada because it’s better for them there according to some. Frankly, we have enough issues that are swallowing us whole and need to focus on building up and caring for our own citizens and force stop mass migration, strongly enforce deportation as well as employing more case workers to help with legal immigration process. We spend all this money sending to Ukraine and yet here we are, cutting our own throats to save someone else’s hand. I have no issue with legal immigration and asylum but you need to go through the process like those before you. I know this is asking a lot but it IS possibly to make it work

These people come and demand free housing,medical care,food etc...I work and barely make ends meet can't even afford medical coverage for my family.

I’m American and Canada ?? is awesome I love the people. Some of the best people I ever met. Strangers paying for my food all type of stuff. Shout out to all Canadians. I wanted to move there it’s just too cold, I’m from Michigan. That Canadian weather hits different ?. But it’s somewhat strange to me that America and Canada open there borders like that. When every other country doesn’t want foreigners but there people stay coming to our countries make it make sense.

This makes me mad because other than the true American Indians we are all immigrants from generations back. Can we afford everyone no but do we or have we a right to do this no. I don't have the answers for how to help them but I don't think this is the best way. Have them line up in several lines and if they are not criminals from there home then we should tell them that we have no work or much food and they will be what we call homeless but let's not forget that we haven't always lived in houses with running water and electricity and cooked outside. My grandmother and my dad and mom all went through the great depression my dad and mom were children and all they had to eat was lard sandwiches. I'm homeless, Navy Veteran and work full time. If housing programs can't help homeless Americans, how can we help immigrants. I want a home too. Update: I'll elaborate more on my situation. I served for four years. I lost my job as an Uber driver in 2018 after my car got repossessed. I live with my fiance who has PTSD from her family upbringing. She tries to work but she doesn't last long. We have gone to 3 different housing programs and they prove to be unhelpful. You make too much money from working they can't help you, if you make too little money they can't help you. WTF!!! All housing that is offered is usually in areas that are in high theft and homeless areas. People steal from you and you up right back in the streets. One program helped me become a fully trained security guard. We have also been in two car accidents, none were our fault. But now I'm stuck just living in a car and working full time. After I work all night I drive around at gas stations, asking people for money for gas and food. Every check I get goes to gas, food and bills. We manage our money wisely. Our money last a day and then we have to go straight back to asking for money again. Everyone I have asked for help is always a broken promise. I don't know what to do anymore.

America needs to tell them all no U can't come into the United States because houseing,food, clothing isn't free. Nothing is free in the United States for you or us America's. + No U can't enter the United States no more for at least for the next 20 years from this year. I’m not trying to be disrespectful to anyone who comes to Canada but if you’re coming here legally, you should be arrested and charged but I also got a question. How are you going to take care of yourself food here is expensive rent is expensive utility bills expensive everything here is expensive, so how are you going to support yourself if you’re coming here with no money no resources it doesn’t make sense to me where the rest of us Canadians who live here are already struggling with high taxes. The high cost of living here is not any better than the USA so what are governments going to hand out free money to you every month give them a hotel to stay in give them free food is the taxpayer is it gonna end up paying for all of this? While this is never the first line of defense in an emergency, understanding how to manage medical emergencies (high infections, deep wounds, pneumonia, asthma attacks, shock, 2nd and 3rd degree burns, poisoning, radiation sickness, torn ligaments, allergic reactions, excessive bleeding) while you wait on help can be life and death. \n Food, water, temperature control are your highest priorities. If faced with a major event where services are limited for more than 3 days, having stored food as well as a way to cook, a way to filter and store water, and a way to keep yourself cool or warm can be life altering. \n\nPlease remember as we are entering or for some of us are already in uncertain times, having this foundation gives security as well as lowers stress. It allows us to feel more in control and gain a more positive perspective on not only our lives but the world. How is not a threat to national security. More needs to be done. Bring in the national guard to assist border patrol. Force needs to be met with force lint blank period. Easy way to get it to stop is to stop giving away taxpayers money to supply, free housing, food, medical. And to have the local police arrest companies that hire them. Then make the owners of these companies pay yearly the rate of pay towards a fund for the local taxpayers

I have always thought, we have China making everything due to low labor cost. \n\nCan’t we bring all these manufacturing companies and make these guys work for pennies? Cheap labor. We can provide a small shelter, cheap food and have them work for free or really cheap. After (10) years of work they can have a green card and set free in the us. If these immigrants are asking for a better life then that’s not a problem but they should not get it for free. The main problem that US/ nyc is facing with these immigrants is that they get everything for free (food stamps, Medicaid, shelter etc from taxpayers). Go ahead & give them work permits & make it mandatory to show 5yrs tax papers to get citizenship.

I was born in Canada, and lived to see the change from traditional values to this mess...\n\n1 - homelessness\nthe rents and other things went up, and welfare does nt match it. even minimum wage does nt cover it in some cases, \nit s a given that you will finish on the sidewalk, and that does that many will turn to drinking and drugs.\nit will not last long however, as winter comes and there are nt enough shelters, so they conveniently die.\nyou could invest billions, it will not help if you have bad management, you have to dig deeper...\n\n2 - racism\nit s a bit of a backward country in that sense, many rural areas were very late in receiving immigrants,\nso they re not used to see diversity, unlike the US lets say, so there are parts of the country where acceptation\nwill be low, they will discriminate and gossip for sure, but it s more backward as it is racism.\nin time, when they get to know you, it goes away, and they realise how dumb they were.\nI live in Quebec, and you can blame feminism for that, they see Muslims as a symbol of patriarchy and feel threatened.\n\n3 - medical\nit s been like that since about the 90s, again, bad management made the system crash for some reason.\nI admit that I m not sure of what happened exactly there, not enough doctors for sure.\nmaybe it has to do with income, as they can get more revenue in the US or elsewhere.\nI suspect that hospitals s management - administration is too slow and crowded, but I m no expert.\n\n4 - technology\nyeah, well, it s expensive here, cell contracts, internet, probably because of distance, but I suspect\nthat we re being cheated a little too, and since again, we re a bit backward, we re used to the old methods.\nwe re not fast to adopt new trends or fashion either, it s very traditional here mostly.\n\n5 - taxes\nwe have federal and provincial taxes, plus purchase taxes, so yeah, we pay a lot of them.\nexactly, it can vary from 30 - 60% for sure, overtime does nt pay that much, 2 nd jobs can build you a big bill.\nyou re better to save on expenses than trying to earn more, you have to be cheap.\n\n6 - Canadian experience\nI m born here, but I heard of many stories about immigrants s credentials not fitting the local standards.\nin some cases, it sounds ridiculous, and closed minded, not accepting outside concepts and ideas.\nI did nt know about speaking English, but I sure know about French in Quebec...\nhere, it s very insecure about the language, almost paranoid, without speaking French, you will have many troubles.\nagain, it s mostly about bad management, and rules and mentality that self sabotage.\n\n7 - housing\nlike mentioned before, the real estate in general has jumped tremendously.\nI m no financier expert, but an overview of economy tells me that banks compete between countries,\nand they will recourse on artificially inflating the value of real estate, and that plainly kills people.\nthis is the main reason of the homelessness you see on the streets.\nyeah, the soundproofing is quite poor, and some very old buildings can cost a lot in heating.\n\n8 - well, crime is on the rise, and citizens supporting the law and public safety is not very encouraged by the system in place.\nin some way, you re better to shut up than supporting the police... this has to change!\n\n9 - the social services are biased, and impose their vision if you want help.\n\n10 - the mental health policy is too wide, and makes you ill instead of helping.\n\n11 - the pharmaceutical companies are too influencing, and make people sick instead of helping.\n\n12 - the food regulation is lacking, it is not strict enough, allowing chemicals, gmo, and radiation.\n\n13 - feminism is almost radical, especially in Quebec, they segregate genders, and dividing us, it makes the country weak.\n\notherwise, you pretty much covered it well.\n\ngood work sissses.

That is still better than living in india. Quality of life in india is horrible. A single room apartment in india can easily cost between 25000-35000 in cities like pune , Bangalore, hyderabad and Mumbai. Mumbai is the most expensive. Salaries is so bad that an average person simply cannot have any dreams. Also many apartment in india which are rented don't even have gas so cooking food at home is not an option. Quality of food outside is horrible and also expensive. Water is of bad quality as well. So many things in india are actually more expensive than canada for example- phones , laptops, cars , fuel , protein supplements, real estate. My parents don't have enough money to send me to canada. So many times Living in india actually makes me wish I was never born. It's been years since I have stopped celebrating my birthday. Just existing and continuing to live because if I end my life who will take care of my mom and dad.

Canada is not worth coming to if you own a home in your current country and are generally happy, have a decent job and family, don't come here because it will not be easy or better than what you have. You will have to start from nothing, working the worst jobs cleaning hotels and toilets or working minimum wage in a retail store, even if you are a professional in your home country. There is nothing better here, nothing is free unless you come as a refugee. This country is the anti-dream of America. The taxes are very hi, the rent is unaffordable, to buy a house you have to make $200,000k a year, so basically you will be screwed. There is no way to save for retirement in Canada, so don't think life will get easier. In Canada you will get stuck working well beyond your retirement years like into your 70's you will work here until you drop dead. My parents are 70 and still work because they are still paying off their mortgage, while they get retirement $1,300 per month which is the standard is a joke since it doesn't cover the basics, you need $6,000 at least to survive for a month, to buy food, gas for your car, carinsurance, phone bill, utilities, anything else, just the basics. What the government gives you is completely unrealistic to the times, considering the amount of money people pay in taxes you don't get enough during your retirement years, the government has no use for you so they dont care about you when you get old.

As a dual citizen, there are so many things that's incorrect about this video. First of all, to make it an apples to apples comparison, I see no attempt to adjust the comparison by population. There is no point comparing Montreal (where I have lived) vs. Columbus, Ohio. Montreal is roughly 1.7 million people or 4 million metro. The correct comparison would be something like Boston. Similarly, there is no point comparing Montreal vs. LA in terms of geographical spread when LA is more than three times the size. So of course your commute will be different.\n\nComparing Montreal to Boston for example, Boston is very very compact. Yes, Montreal does have better food options than Columbus or your random rural suburbs. It doesn't come even close to similarly sized American cities. It's the same reason for example that one doesn't compare San Francisco for example, against London, Ontario. It's a pointless comparison.\n\nAdditionally, the claim that the worst part of Canada is better than the best part of America is laugahble. There is no truly terrible neighborhoods in Canada compared to American ones (where you can tell if you're in a bad neighborhood), but Canadians can't even imagine the wealth and prestige of the best parts of America, let alone compare with it. The wealthiest don't live in downtown New York (where they maintain their work residence), they live in Montauk. They don't live in downtown Boston, they live in Newton or Weston. The most affluent parts of Canada like Bridle Path/Rosedale (Toronto), Westmount (Montreal) or North Vancouver would look like abject poverty by comparison.\n\nOh, let's not also forget other factors for being in the US. The median household income in Canada is $67,000 Canadian. The median for the US is $69,000 US. The typical American is far wealthier than the typical Canadian. Anybody who tried to buy any goods (or services) in Canada and compared their choices in the US, it's not remotely comparable. Of course, the usual, taxes.

Meh. Canada is better in general. Not much to discuss. Just for safety and health care alone which is one the most important reasons. I can make a whole list. US is better if you need more people for businesses and junk. And fast food.

Women are better looking in other countries. Even in the rural areas of other countries, the women look better than most American girls. The food is better in other countries. It's safer to live in Ukraine than it is to live in America. \n\nHowever, economic mobility and luxuries make America one of a kind. Also, our Constitution is superior to other countries.

I think you ladies are way out in left field and you really don't know what you're talkin about. Unfortunately for some people it doesn't work out for whatever reason usually because they do not want to assimilate very well. I grew up in Ontario to a french-canadian father and an Italian mother in my life in Canada was so perfect said if I had to dream up a better life I could not have done so. I grew up playing all the sports and enjoyed all the different sports and the changes of seasons. My parents had a summer home on the st-lawrence river and every summer we water-ski swam fished, play golf in the morning and barbecues every night right on the water. Even though my grandfather was in the hotel business I was all about sports and enjoying everything about it. I grew up in a town of about 50 thousand about 40 miles from Montreal. When I wanted some great nightlife just drove a short drive to Montreal and it had everything did anyone could want in Nightlife. I have lived in United States for forty years and I can tell you that it really isn't all that it's cracked up to be. Heaven forbid should you get some kind of catastrophic illness you are screwed. I knew a woman who work for travelers insurance for 30 years at the best insurance a money could buy had suffered a couple of strokes and was on the verge of going broke had she not died when she died. People think that insurance continues to pay his long as you're ill and nothing could be further from the truth. This lady was going to have to sell her house to continue paying for round-the-clock care had she not died when she did. United States middle class is getting wiped out. I've seen enough poverty and hardship in this country to last a lifetime. I find greed to be running rampant in this country. When I grew up in Canada there was always the grass is greener on the other side and when I did move over to the other side the US that is I can tell you unequivocally the dead grass is not greener on the other side. There are more millions and millions of people here that are one or two paychecks away from being homeless. And we're talkin 2023. Now let's talk about violence. There is a mass murder in the United States every single day of the year. And a mass murder is defined by four or more people being killed by one person at one time. Killing these so out of control in the United States that now even six-year-olds are shooting their teacher. I find a tremendous amount of built-up Anger from people. Food is very expensive and shelter is also out of control and non affordable to most people. Again I find United States being able to paint a much Rosier picture then does really exist. And there are more con artists and thieves , Crooks, con-artists, bamboozlers, cheats and scammers then anywhere that I've ever been. And I will say this is it it ain't getting any better and I don't see it ever getting better. I find it is everybody out for themselves no matter who they cheat. I live in Southern California and I can tell you that night life where I live is non-existent. Understand that LA and Hollywood they always have to glamorize everything to sell it to tourists. Just remember that things today are not what they were 40 years ago. Middle-class people in Canada would also be just middle-class people in the US. But if your life means anything to you as far as safety and raising a family then Canada wins hands down end of discussion. People that say Canada is boring is because they are boring. That's what I found to be pretty standard across the board. Life is what you make of it. But I will say that you gals definitely need to move away if you don't like Canada. Do not let the door hit your ass on the way out. And just for your information Canada ranks annually as one of the top countries in the world to immigrate to. Canada is the second largest country in the world by land area and next to Saudi Arabia has the third largest oil Reserves in the world. Canada has huge amount of freshwater which most of the rest of the world seems to be lacking and having spent my Summers on the Saint Lawrence River one of the Great Rivers in this world. I wouldn't change my twenty years in Canada for anyplace else in this world and I will be moving back shortly.

I am not going to lie the food and general cost of goods thing in being higher didn't make sense to me. I live in NY state by the border and I saw a lot of Canadians coming to the states for shopping general goods pre-covid.\n\nWould always hear about how clothes and other goods are so much cheaper in the US. That's with NY state taxes which are considered higher than most places in the US.\n\nYou can go down south for 3 dollars get a big ass burger fries and a drink.\n\nThat being said it doesn't really matter when a visit to the hospital cost any where from a down payment on a apartment to a down payment on a mansion.

As far as food you need to live here to know the good spots to eat. However corporate makes it hard for mom and pop spots in big cities

Come on down. Also, traveling around the world, I do love that we have a lot of diversity here -- cultures, nationalities, religions, scenery, food, and activities. THAT is what makes us great. My Son never had an NBomb thrown at him until he visited the University of Washington campus for a summer course. \n\nI’m from the South (Jim Crow South) and I never felt the absence of racism and hate for Black people until I moved to Canada. This was a really cool episode. I'm a born and raised Canadian, but my friends and my fiancé are all from the USA, so I've got a firsthand look at the differences in our cultures and countries.\n\nOne thing I'll say right off the bat, I think a big part of what makes Canada work the way it does, is that we have such a small population compared to the USA.\n\nCanada only has around 35 million people, but there are some states in the USA that have over 40 Million people on their own. \n\nWhen you have that many people crammed together in one location, all fighting for jobs and housing and food and everything, it makes sense why you might have a culture that's a lot louder and self serving, because you have to compete with millions of people if you really want to make something of yourself.\n\nMy hometown of Edmonton Alberta, for example, we had a population of just 500,000. And I think the laid back attitude that a lot of people have in Canada is a product of that. \n\nThat's a big reason our crime levels would appear lower as well, because there's just a lot less of us.
