Isn’t this the guy Canadians hate?

As usual, trump is playing to his MAGA base. He's pretty good at manipulating public sentiment. But he sure as hell isn't qualified for ANY public office, let alone POTUS. Sadly, the majority of my fellow americans have become so stupid that they don't even comprehend what's happening.\n\nI'm in my 70s, and have witnessed decades of cooperation between Canada and the US. This is a supremely disappointing development.

Isn’t it funny that the majority of people do not agree with Trump the majority of people don’t want Trump to be president, but the Republicans manage to throw out enough votes and suppress enough votes to win because that’s the only way that they ever win oh and let’s not forget all the lies! More inflation isn't going to affect most of us. We've already had so much that we can't afford anything anyway. If a house already costs a million dollars who cares if it goes up to 100 million. Ok I need some help understanding this. If it’s a dumb idea for the US then why isn’t it a dumb idea for Canada too? As I understand it, the US tariffs mean things imported from Canada get a few slapped on top and that is paid by Americans, to discourage them from buying Canadians things. Why wouldn’t Canada continue importing US things as before and not put extra fees on top, so they don’t have to find new suppliers and cause disruption? Then it is just America punching itself in the face not both of them.

They suppy the mexican cartels these drugs to make and sell which comes across Mexican borders into the US. If china regulated the precursor drugs it could stop fentanyl manufacturing in its tracks. Again 10% tariffs vs 25% tariff. There was a time that china cooperated & worked with the US on this but have since stopped.\nSo whatever is going on with the trump administration, it's clear by the numbers this isn't about fentanyl with Canada. Especially since he didn't extend the same tariffs to the country that could actually stop the making of this horrible drug.

North Carolinian American here. I am ashamed of our country pushing our allies away. What I and many others want to let our allies know is that we support them. Our country is getting closer to isolationism, and it isn't good if we want inflation and prices to go down. History has shown us what happened to our country when we were isolated, and it brought economic devastation throughout the country. I hope that it isn't severe, but I predict that our president, and the Republican Party that controls the legislature and the Supreme Court will definitely cripple the economy, and will find a way to blame the party, where they are not in control.

As an American who not unlike more than half of this country believe this president and his administration are going down a very dangerous path. It feels like a runaway train, why can't we stop it, why can't we remove him, the impending damage that is about to take place seems obvious. This is a democracy but what do you do if the person who was voted in isn't qualified and is hurting not only our people but people around the world? Can you recall a president? What would it take?
