As an American who not unlike more than half of this country believe this president and his administration are going down a very dangerous path. It feels like a runaway train, why can't we stop it, why can't we remove him, the impending damage that is about to take place seems obvious. This is a democracy but what do you do if the person who was voted in isn't qualified and is hurting not only our people but people around the world? Can you recall a president? What would it take?

THANK YOU!!! Thank You for doing what few have done. What few countries, what few leaders, especially our own leaders have had the BACK BONE to do. The world respects you. AMERICANS respect you!! Thank You, Thank You, Thank You. I pray that you won't back down like other weak men and countries have. Thank You Canada, Americans love you. ?

I just hope president Trump is able to put tariff like penalty on American companies that are outsourcing jobs and leaving American job less. Take a good look at ANY companies career page, and has a software job requirement. 90% of ALL tech jobs are being outsourced to India, it's just getting ridiculous!

As an American, there is nothing I want to see more than countries like Canada who hold their ground and do not allow Donald trump and his government bully them. Hopefully this will end soon and the damage can be minimized

I have always been a proud American citizen. My paternal side of my family has been traced back to the Mayflower and I have ancestors and family that have served in the Revolutionary War, the American Civil War, WWl, WWll, Vietnam, the Gulf, and Afghanistan. This country has made many mistakes and has had much shame throughout its existence for various things but this is the first time and U.S. president has turned his back on our friends and allies in favor of an evil authoritarian leader named Vladimir Putin who strokes his massive ego and gives him elusions of power and respect from Putin when in reality Putin is playing Trump like a fiddle. The New York Times was not right. Donald Trump is not a bright guy. I stand strongly with my friends in Canada ??.

As an American... I have not spoken to a SINGLE person from my country who wants ANY part of this trade war... Or any other type of animosity with Canada. It is very simple, just like Donald Trump is, he puts the tarifs on products, so live for people get even more expensive, then after a while he will change his mind and the tarifs wil disapear and products gets cheaper again. THEN he will proudly say that he took care of the high prices. Even the greatest professional boxers know the difference of being humble and kind when there advisory is in trouble. \nFor the first time in the history of your country you have a bully, narcissist and pathological liar, who is vulgar and unpolished as a man, father and as the President of your nation.\nI have seen our own Canadian leaders, make mistakes, stumble and fail, however they displayed grace and admitted to their shortcomings.\nI have never seen a world leader be obsessed with things such as plastic straws, pennies, flushing toilets, Hannibal Lecter, Arnold Palmer's manhood, a leader who's completely obsessed with selling souvenir and bubbles while his citizens are homeless, hungry, jobless, with runaway inflation so that something as simple as a dozen eggs are now a luxury item. \n\nYou have a president who spends millions of dollars so that he can play golf at one of his own properties, meanwhile his country is neglected. \nA brief look at his past record the pandemic under his watchful eye would have you drink bleach as a cure as many died and billionaires increased their combined wealth by trillions of dollars while the middle class and poor suffered. \nThe opioid crisis was settled under his watch which let Purdue Pharma and the Sackler family avoid jail time for committing the death and destruction of millions of lives in America. Yet Donald Trump is obsessed with the drug cartels in other countries yet he overlooks those terrorist in his own country. Is it because they are billionaires and potential cronies of his?\nRather than be completely obsessed with tariffs and creating the next disaster with his Trump Gaza Holocaust Resort, Your leader could be looking at fixing the country's infrastructure of roads, brides, tunnels, ensuring a healthy supply of drinking water, rail, housing for the homeless, affordable health care, affordable education, etc.\n\nDonald Trump is surrounded by his clowns is not just making a mockery of your country but is leading you into a very dark hole. \nThe shame and humiliation that Donald Trump has brought to your country since his inauguration will take years to correct if he is stopped now. If you the American people wait four years, WW Three will be here and it will take centuries to recover. \nTHE FUTURE IS NOW, NOT IN FOUR YEARS. It seems like our borders at the time were less strict on the American side versus the Canadian side of the border. Trump did state multiple times that most countries like Canada were unfair to USA. Even with the USMCA, America got screwed by Mexico as will. America has been there helping and supporting and submitting to every country. Yet failed to support our own people when we need it, especially to clear up our own debts. Sadly, America is falling behind due to poor handling of Government Democrat corruption. I am neutral as both parties don't always provide the best solution for everyone. You have to pick who can help the American people. Seeing how corrupt the Democrats has ran America and the defacto behind of all the wars and money laundering has surprised me, and I hope the change with Trump will help everyone realize how screwed we all are in correcting those corruption that isn't really needed.

Ignorant Americans (which seems to be a majority of us now days) only know what a “Tariff” is based on what Trump says it is, and Trump doesn’t know ? about what they are and how they function (even if it is his favorite word in the dictionary). And the leadership of our government are chicken-? when they won’t stand-up and correct him when he makes stupid remarks about stuff like having an “External Revenue Service”.
