We're not dealing with a surge in balanced immigration drawing from a balanced global demographic. That's nearly universally agreeable amongst Canadians and it likely will never change because Canadian itself is not an ethnic identity but an identity built around shared values. We are, in real time and in nearly every city across the country, experiencing solely a surge in Punjabi immigration. They tend to congregate into tight communities, stack houses with up to 10-15 people in hardly adequate living conditions, and then disproportionately and even sometimes exclusively hire or provide tenantship to people based on ethnicity. Not admitting that would be wilfully ignoring the obvious. Canada is exceptionally inviting of immigrants, especially when they try to integrate and join the broader Canadian society. This recent surge of immigration has been different. Everyone can feel it. It doesn't feel like people are coming here anymore, as much, to join and enrich the country but instead just to enrich themselves and create completely separate, ethnically segregated groups. I prefer when the boundaries between groups to associate and co-operate are as open and mutually beneficial as possible. My family came here and now we are entirely embedded into Canadian culture and fully identify with the Canadian values.

WE all know that these students intension to come to Canada is to become permanent residents.! The immigration agents are taking advantage of these desperate students. Spouse visa is hard for Indians because white Canadians are not attracted to Indians! (not like Filipinas). In Australia, as of July 2024, Student visa can no longer change or extend their visa. They have to go home first and re apply!

As a Canadian I gotta say don’t move here, you will not find that stress free prosperous life you are after. You will never get a chance to retire and you’ll be taxed to poverty, 30% or more of your hard earned money will go to the government.

Vancouver real-estate is essentially a money laundering operation for rich foreigners looking to stash their money somewhere. Protections were put in place a little to late back in 2016 with the foreign buyers tax. But honestly most of these foreigners can either be exempt from this tax with their citizenship loop hole (anchor baby) Or honestly they just pay the fine since they can afford it and just need to get their money out of the country they are coming from. Its quite dystopian because building more homes like the government keeps promising isn't going to solve the problem either. This is because its just going to add more to the volume of housing that the foreigners can buy up from the locals and adding more fuel to the problem. Immigrations Canada is lying to new comers. To top it off, BC just recently passed a law in 2024 where you can no longer build single family residences in the lower mainland area. WHERE are the families going to go then? Can anyone even afford a family anymore? Vancouverites like myself who were diligent and saved every penny are walking away from mortgages in droves because who wants to lock into a 30 year term amortization period where at rate plus prime your looking at 5.5%-7% where the bank makes more than double in interest from you. Over the course of 30 years you still lose because even if your property appreciates past double. Capital Gains will take into effect. Your loosing money no matter what! It truly is a nightmare designed to enslave you financially. This is simply wealth creation suicide. Came from immigrant parents in the 1990s, I slaved for 10 years during my twenties, didn't come from wealth, didn't party, didn't have fun, studied hard, and started a business and I still cant break into the Vancouver market. So I ended up just barely squeaking into the market in Abbotsford. Vancouverites as a whole are screwed. Time to pack up and move to Alberta I suppose. I will also preface by saying that most of BC is empty and that it would make sense to built outside of the Vancouver area as Vancouver has now basically become fiscally unlivable. It might make sense for the next government that come into power to decide to invest in building in other towns and cities around BC to incentivize Canadians to move.

As a 3rd generation Canadian it is so hard to have confidence in my nations future. The politicians don’t care, and the country is rotting from the inside out. We have no future here, majority of my university educated peers have already moved to the US for better pay and career advancement, and business owners like myself have moved or are planning to move away from Canada. It’s a shame to see our country fall but we need to look out for our own lives and are no longer patriotic for this nation

These students think they bought citizenship when they were invited here to study. Yes it's predatory, but you can easily google Canada and find out that we have some of the highest cost of living in the world. What they fail to say here is that Canadians are struggling really hard right now and the students are taking up housing and food from charities further exacerbating this crisis. They are also rude and have no interest in speaking to anyone outside of their own culture. On top of that the men need to realize sexual harassment isn't normalized here like in India (i travelled therefor four months and was relentlessly sexual harassed and assaulted) stop being creepy to western women. I’m a 1st generation immigrant too and I worked too hard to get my permanent residency instead of protesting. It’s hard to go back, situation in not good but they have to understand that going back is not the end of life. In addition, I also suggest you to put some sort of disclaimer in your video to avoid people from hating Indian community. Due to some people and some poor policies too that allowed such people in the country, there is a rising hate for community and your video can trigger it even more although I personally stand for the side that you are showing but there’s a second side of this as well. Canada’s government need to tax rich, tax people who save on taxes with loopholes, and then incentivize having kids, add a better child support payment, increase student grants for people to gain skills that will help them in achieving a better paying job and Canadians feel more ready to give birth to a child.

I came from France back in 2015 whith my familly when Harper was still prime minister at the time , really I'd say things have been really great , my family and I have worked hard to get to where we are today and have always wanted to give back to our community here but I am disgusted to see in 2024 what Trudeau has done to the country and to see that immigration is no longer as prestigious as it used to be. Unlike some people we have today, I had to wait 3 years with my family before receiving approval to move to Canada (after so many exams, appointments and waiting times). I did my middle school here until college and I'm currently still looking for work in correctional and when I see that people arrive here afterwards without being permanent residents, who are literally flooding spots at colleges/university and also jobs that are normally open for young canadians in their 15-16 (When I was in high school, my first job was at a McDonald's, and without exception, everyone there was Canadian. Today, when I go back to the same McDonald's for a cheeseburger every now and then, the entire staff is nothing but Indians) .As a person with an immigrant background, I'm the first one to say that there's a very big problem in Canada, and that current immigration, mainly from India, is no longer for economic reasons but to reunite families.(They do not, and will never, assimilate into Canadian culture.)Now that I've grown up in Canada for almost half my life, I'm already thinking about either returning to France or start over somewhere else if nothing changes.\n\nThe Trudeau government, uncontrolled immigration, dangerous idelogies from extreme far left idea, rising unemployment, and economic misery getting worse every day , gradually pushes me away from the country I love, Oh Canada.

Canadians have started to become poorer since public healthcare policies started. This will continue regardless of immigration, although slowing immigration may cause more economic hurdles for most Canadians. Slowing immigration will be better for immigrants as well. look around Belleville Ontario. you dont see any of these new canadians homeless or in the warming centers. I see regular Canadians and sadly people i have grown up with and they are sadly now hooked on hard drugs as an escape from their life?

PLEASE DON'T push Pierre on immigration! I don't have proof but I'm sure it's just his strategy. I can't believe that a smart conservative like him isn't in favor of cutting back on immigration. He may (and has) even said some pro immigration things but I'm sure this is only to get as many Canadians as possible to vote for him so he gets the most powerful majority in the house. If I find an ad that looks good, 80% of the time it asks for punjabi only, gujarati only, vegetarian only.... how is this legal?

International students and other immigrants contribute greatly to Canada’s economy. The government knows that that's why they were asking for so many immigrants to come here. How come one minute they had a goal 1.5 million immigrants then the next minute immigrants are the problem? Theyre just using immigrants as a scape goat instead of fixing the housing problem. Immigrants work very hard and pay a lot of taxes and the international students pay 4 times the tuition as Canadians so they are boosting the economy. Maybe the Canadians living on welfare are the ones who should leave because they are not contributing to the country.

All Canadians are immigrants. They came from England, France,Europe and other countries. The actual original people are the natives who were forcibly eliminated and suppressed. So don't say native Canadians unless you include all races in that category. Some came earlier and others came later. Your perception is skewed. You overlooked the China immigrants who have pushed the prices of homes out of the reach of the average Canadian with the inflow of their mainly corruption and criminal sources of money. The ones with hard earned money are not the majority. Your right that Trudeau's policies are bringing in too many Indians. Unfortunately it is bringing in the right ones, the type that can build a Silicone Valley and are the backbone of innovation which would make Canada rich. This is my observation.

It wasn't like this 8 years ago and there's so many people of a certain demographic that outnumbers the others. Now, it's really hard to find a part-time job as student and our healthcare system is plummeting as well. Why we keep accepting them when we can't even afford to help our own citizens? This current government needs to step-down now; we don't speak for them. The fact that these people are able to rally in our country is absurd and they don't even have the rights in our country. This shows how weak the Canadian law is. They don't respect us and they mock our system.

Canada should look after its people first but its hard to do that when your people just want to do drugs, change their gender, and want to be youtube/tik tok famous and not want to work. It has nothing to do with Canadian culture..it is about the insecurity the Canadians have from South Asian immigrants that they will take over Canada, just because of their hunger for success. Ask any immigrant from India, he would be working 2-3 jobs while locals do not want to work. Ever wondered why employers want Indian students to work at Tim Hortons and grocery stores rather than Canadian kids??? Just keep your hatred aside and talk to any Indian student and then compare them with any local kid roaming around in the posh shopping malls. Instead of blaming these people, one must question their own government authorities who make the rules and legislation to facilitate this. Maybe it's just the truth of a desperate Canadian economy that needs immigrants to keep fueling the 'aging' Canadian economic engine. These people come in and work hard, odd jobs (not to mention the exceptional skilled ones as well like Doctors, health care workers etc.) which the regular Canadian wouldn't do. I've been in Canada for 2 years without a Family doctor. Thank God, the last 10 different Doctors I met were all fresh immigrants and came to my rescue. Ask your conscience, without these immigrants, you wouldn't be getting your late night coffee at the time Hortons drive thru, no one to take your blood works without you waiting several months in waiting, no ways for universities to subsidize tuition fees for the poorer Canadian students. If immigrants stop coming in, the nice detached home you live in will go down in value, the nice truck you drive will become more expensive, your kids University tuition fees will sky rocket, Canadian companies selling groceries, furniture, etc. Will have lesser revenue and eventually get eaten up be American giants, Canadian companies won't have cheap labour to build those much needed housing. \nNot only question your government, but also question your 'own' people.. Where are they to serve you? Where are the so called patriotic 'original' Canadian Doctors'? They are off to US to earn more money. U think they care enough for their home country?\n If Canada won't, somebody Else will accept these people. I am a born and raised Canadian. My family is from India. There are SOO many hard working and honest Indo-Canadians. But some bad apples ruin it for the bunch. Canadian values still matter a lot to us - please keep this in mind.

I truly feel for the students since every student i have met have great intentions to work hard make this great country there own... its a tough situation for all of us since we dont have enough high paying jobs for the canadian citizens... its a tough situation for all of and i hope we can get through this with everybody being happy...
