Diamond, I know it's not easy because I'm also here in Canada, What I will just say is that Health is wealth, You don't have to be working 4 days a week, and you are still lucky that you have to go to school 1 day in a week......So try to have time for yourself, if you continue these, you will break down, even me, I make sure I later make sure I leave a days to rest, the other 6 days is school and work, but just try think about it okay , God will bless us all

I think if they had got the PR in aus , they would have stayed there. Their experience in Australia is limited to a particular suburbs upon which they have formed their opinion. Canada with cold weather is depressing with 6 months indoor. Australia is blessed to have such a great weather.Canada has relaxed the immigration entry rules causing many ppl with low socioeconomic situation to immigrate and lost its quality . The streets of Canada are littered with qualified medical doctors who drive Uber because they didn’t understand how difficult it would be to be certified to practice here.\n\n2. Find role models who are living the life you aspire to, or who have made similar moves and seek advice or guidance, and learn what they did right/wrong. Don’t just assume because your friend moved here, you can also move here and live the same life. You don’t share the same life experiences, history or have the same network.\n\n3. Before you immigrate physically, you have to immigrate mentally…be in the right mindset to live in a new country, understand their culture and learn to adapt. If you’re expecting to leave Nigeria and move to Canada to live a Nigerian lifestyle with “owambe” parties every weekend, or having 4 cars and 3 housemaids, then you’re still living in Nigeria mentally. Even Justin Trudeau does not drive 4 cars.\n\nI work in tech, so I knew that with God’s grace I’d find a way to succeed here. My wife worked in a Nigerian bank, and was able to transition to tech after we arrived here. Our combined annual income is roughly $500k, and we both work less than 40 hours a week, and I believe God will continue to bless us. I have easily 20 or 30 friends and colleagues who moved within a year or two of each other, and everyone is doing fine and working in tech jobs paying 6-figures. \n\nDon’t be discouraged by people’s failures and hardships. With the right planning and mindset, you can achieve your goals in any country. Reach out to people on LinkedIn, build a network and ask for advice (constructively)…many like us are more than willing to help.

Disappointing you rushed over a respondent's feeling about the abortion issue in the US as it is completely on point. Health care costs are one thing (actually huge) but when you're forced to carry a fetus to term against your will (would any man?) that alone is why no woman would put her hand up to head to your neck of the woods - for her own sake and for that of her daughter's and any other female for that matter (Canadians tend to care about other people not just themselves). If you want to know why someone WOULD leave Canada for the US, it would likely be for family; or warmer weather...but at this point you guys are on fire and family can come visit us here. We are blessed here for so many reasons (fresh water, beautiful country, health care, freedom to choose, freedom to be gay or straight or whatever you are) and while my mom was American and I have cousins and even a nephew in Florida, and I used to love visiting my grandparents in Vermont and New Jersey as a kid, the whole landscape of the US has changed to one of in your face racism, hatred against women, the LGBTQ and everyone who is not caucasian, not to mention the whole gun business. You guys have lost any appeal whatsoever no matter how hard you crow about how great your country is. Everyone knows the truth about your history and the politically driven obsession to cover it up by attacking everything from books and what can be taught in schools. Just enough.

We have extremely great health care professionals! I was very ill and I had to stay in the hospital for 4 weeks! The only thing I had to pay for (besides my taxes), lol, was the ambulance ride from my small town to the next larger town. This cost me $45.00. This bill came to me after I was home for a couple of weeks! \nDo I want to pay $200.00 a month for health care insurance….NO WAY! \nWe have other programs…example….. old age, disabilities of every kind, nursing at home, and so much more! I have paid my taxes willingly all my life and enjoy every benefit they bring me! The US may call this Socialism, but I call it security! \nCanada needs a better government at the moment, but other than that, I would never live anywhere else!! \tGod Bless the USA and Canada!!??❤️??

Im an immigrant here in Canada for 12 years now, but me and my family are happy and we have saved money for the future im so sad it doesn't work for you. Everyone has different experiences, I love my tropical country but I feel safer and contented in Canada anyway im living and working in Edmonton as a red seal welder and grateful for this country for paying me 65 dollars an hour which very impossible to get if im living in my country. I live in Ottawa, Ontario and grew up in a Canadian surburb and honestly I can't complain..lol \n\nActually, my parents have done very well for themselves. I know plenty of Haitians who have done very well for themselves too.\nMy parents are both retired enjoying life ??\n\nI live in a white neighborhood and never had any issues. I only had issues with black kids.\n\nCanada has a horrible history as well, especially with the Natives however, I'm still glad I was born in Canada ??\n\nI'm blessed to be able to work from home and make a six figure income.

Born and raised Cdn and every point you raise is valid IMO and experience. I love my country however, it is hard to get ahead, we work too much, and cost of living is so expensive. The reason why Canada is wonderful for those who stay is A) Charter of Rights and Freedoms - we are protected by laws and citizens enjoy legal, justice, policing and gvmt services that help protect quality of life. B) it is a safe country primarily and not easy to reach for insurgents, terrorist attacks and political anarchy etc. C) We have so much land and space for people to decide where they want to live - density is not high so you can have space. D) it is a beautiful country with awe inspiring nature. E) we do have one of the best immigrant populations and that is our crown. Being diverse is a blessing so if you are atheist, Christian, Muslim etc doesn't matter - you can enjoy freedom to worship as you wish. And F) Healthcare could improve but, the quality of care is world class and speaking as a breast cancer survivor who's treatment ran $120k (diagnostics, chemo, surgery, radiation, med professionals, rehab and drug therapies) we have access to that care whereas in other countries you may not.

Canada needs more immigrants. A country bigger than the US and has only 35 million people. That is the size of the population of one city in many countries. 80% of the population will be senior citizens within next 10 years.
