US trade with China is now only 16% of Chinese exports. Trump no longer has the leverage he had in his first term, and China has learned not to trust any agreements wth the USA because the US always breaks them, particularly Trump. From this point forward, every agreement will be transactional. If Trump goes over the top with tariffs on China, Mexico and Canada it will trigger an inflationary spiral that harms US consumers and an economy already in debt. Voter remorse will be swift.

I saw comments about the Caribbean, our countries are not the same, there is one Caribbean country that is always in turmoil and their people are fleeing for refuge . Barbados don’t have no turmoil our people do not seek refugee status in no country. On top of that we have people from the UK, Canada and USA fleeing their country to migrate to ours, they don’t cause any issues at all. The issues are the others migrating that have different cultures and religions doing the same thing they’re trying to do in these large western countries. These people will never represent our culture or country, even if they came to get our passports.

First of all Canada and America are European colonization countries. It's always funny to me how the same Americans that look to Europe for inspiration on various policies also would think that a lot of European immigration standards are something like fascist. Even Canada for that matter lol.

I'm also an immigrant, been in Canada for 16 years, came here initially for uni. It's funny that I have no negative feelings towards immigrants from any other countries but India. And I didn't have any negative feeling toward them before I came to Canada, if anything, I only remember something positive my grandma telling me about Indian people being beautiful, that they have big beautiful eyes. After I came to Canada, over the years, based on countless personal experiences dealing with them, sadly my conclusion is 99% of them are bad, 1% are the exception. They are aggressive, rude, stinky, unhygienic, dishonest, always trying to take financial advantage of people or situations to save a few more bucks by being super annoying or cheating, extremely disrespectful and aggressive towards women!! Really nothing is appealing about them. And at a job position, 1 Indian will bring 10 Indians, 10 will bring 100, they are slowly encroaching the environment and taking over everything. Other races try to assimilate into the local culture, while the Indians are imposing theirs onto the local and other cultures. Canada feels like it's turning into a second India. It's lost its politeness, manner, rules etc. I no longer want to live here, I plan to move back to my country after a few years. And I don't really go to Tim Hortons anymore cuz the Indians are taking over all the franchises and lowered the standards of Hygiene and friendliness. I don't think I'm being racist, cuz I'm not having all these negative feelings based on their skin colour or origin. It's purely based on real life experiences in dealing with them.

It’s interesting how these media stations always say “immigrants” but whenever they use a thumbnail it’s almost exclusively Indian people, almost like they know as well, it’s not a diverse group of immigrants coming to Canada, but a very monolithic immigration model with only Indian people coming here now lol

Went on a work lunch with a Hindu (born in Canada) coworker and was surprised to see him actually eat steak! He mentioned that the first time he tried beef was when moved out of his parents house. Initially he wanted to throw up after trying beef but after a few more tries he liked it and almost always orders it when he eats out at a restaurant.

Since the Canadian government thinks we Canadians born in Canada are all criminals, without a trial in a court of law to determine this, the Canadian government wants to replace us all with brown immigrants mostly from Iran. I guess the crime rate in Iran must be the lowest in the world. That's why most of the immigrants coming into Canada are Iranian. I am currently unemployed and am always the first to get fired while my brown coworkers from Iran remain employed. I really think it's time for affirmative action for Canadians born in Canada. I am getting tired of living with my parents at the age of 55.

I've been replaced 4 times by foreigners. I worked at Amazon and the entire huge warehouse of hundreds of people was only East Indians with only me and 3 other white people. I worked at Ballard and the entire production floor could not speak English at a elementary school level and was replaced by a guy from Iran who had never been to Canada and was in the country for 1 month. All the shift mangers were from Iran and my section was only Iranians, East Indians and Chinese. I was the top production worker by far doing the work of 4 other workers proven by the actual numbers in an attempt to keep my job but still got removed of course to make way for more Iranians because it was obviously a way to bring their people here. Zero locals were in the entire production floor. I can not have the dignity to own my own home and never will be able to even though I grew up here went to collage and university and worked hard. Rent is beyond insane and they raise it the maximum legal amount every year which is huge. All my life I had to bow down to foreigners. The locals have lost their homes and can not buy another house or could never buy one and never will be able to. All are slaves to foreigners who think they are superior and treat them like garbage. The foreigners get help from the government somehow and get loans they never should be able to get because they have crooked contacts in the Chinese owned financial institutions. They then build 5 to 10 unbelievably horrible illegal suites and that is where most of the locals now have to live in. The neighbourhoods went from a very low population of Chinese and East Indians to insanely high levels such as 98 percent. There is no sense in complaining to any government body because the Chinese and East Indians have infiltrated those key positions and always side with their own kind. The legacy news/media is fully aware but are owned by foreigners and never will talk about these issues. Canada has for sure been invaded and taken over and is lost. No one is bringing it to light and worst is no one is trying to fight it. Any attempts you are labeled as a horrible racist.

See, I know this is wrong. But we have to be honest I am an Indian but moved to America. I stayed in New Jersey and the environment we created there is absurd. We made the place dirty, uncivilized behaviour and the list is long. This is happening in Canada too. Canadians identify everyone as Indians but the major problem they have is with Khalistanis. They have become a menace, gun violence, crimes and a shit ton of things done by these people. There is always a reaction and it is unfortunate that the innocent ones has to face the reaction. My experience girlfriend was Canadian, her mother owned a departmental store she caught and called cops on many occasions were our peyare caught on camera stealing, damaging the store and also peeing right in the corner of the store. I saw all these footage. The major problem with Canada is most of the Indian immigrants that went there were uneducated and directly went to Canada from Indian villages, it's a cultural shock for them and during the initial period everyone behaved in a uncivilized manner. Many people have commented here to change India and make it livable instead of dreaming of Canada but let me tell you, ideally it is very welcoming and patriotic thought to make India top class country in the world in all respect but keeping current politicians standards, democratic model and caste & religion discrimination, it is next to impossible to implement changes. China has done despite massive population because it has hidden dictatorship and there are no inside traitors. Many entities within and outside India are doing their level best to break and shake India. \n\nI am from Canada, I just arrived in India on vacation. It disturbed me a lot to see trash and garbage everywhere ( especially on Kurla-Andheri-Mankhurd) on the streets from Mumbai airport, the town planning, landscape, traffic, road quality, people's civic sense (and many more things to mention) are in worst shape which is not a sign of good quality life. Especially when you enjoy lavish, luxurious, clean hygienic, sustematic life style abroad, you naturally tend tobe fascinated with that country, no matter how much patriotic you're. Once , my cousin and his friend had an roommate who’s an Indian immigrant. That Indian guy caused trouble to my cousin and his friend. He borrowed their stuff with out asking them. And the Indian dude don’t know how to use the bathroom properly. He uses toilet paper after using the toilet. But he threw them in the garbage instead of the toilet. And there was toilet ppr with shit showing in the trash. And then my cousin and his friend got into an argument with the Indian and my cousin and his friend complained to the land lady and the landlady kicked out the Indian guy evicting him. Mz Lyan, both my parents are Chinese-Cantonese. They fought WW2 and earned their right as naturalized Canadians. I have spent many years in the US working high tech jobs and married an American. I love being Canadian and both my parents are planted in Ottawa. Canada has never question my Citizenship. My only beef with the Hong Kong Chinese money has made it impossible to afford living in Vancouver.\n\nLeave if you must but Canada will always welcome it's Commonwealth citizens.

It is always difficult for a new immigrant to find friends immediately but most OECD countries such as Canada would be the same. Clearly there are some cultural issues to understand, and perhaps language problems but finding employment can be a first step to solving this as well as joining those support groups who have a similar background to yourself. If you leave Canada I don't see how this would be any different in the new country you choose to settle in.

Everyone has an opinion about this, but the only fact that really matters is what people actually do. Currently about 10X as many Canadians per capita move to the US as Americans move to Canada. There really isn't much else to say. Canadians will always imagine themselves to be better, but the reality is people prefer to live in the US, including a lot of Canadians. Other than marriage, there's little to entice an American to move to Canada and the statistics bear this out.

My parents immigrated to Canada in the early 1980’s and both of my parents work 50hrs/week to have a house and send 3 kids to university. We are the second generation and we have a much better life. I have Australia friends who move here (Montreal ) last summer and they finally bought a condominium instead of renting coz they always dream to be owner which was very hard in their city. Everyone situation is different. But thinking Canada is a affordable country is a big misunderstanding.

The grass is always greener. We are not the US thank god. Greed over benefits over better education and in general a greater social safety net. The US is a larger market and if you have what they need you are likely to get more for it because of quality competition is high. It is here too just not as much choice. No one is holding you here things go in cycles eventually the real estate will find a level and people will start in better positions. Running to something may benefit you but running from life here is not gurantee of better things giving up is when you start to fail it isnt our governmemt the people or the country its in each of us as to what we want and weather they want to be in Canada or they don't its not the fault of tue country itd still top 5 on the planet peoples expectations are kust greater doesnt mean succesd is on the American side.

I am a transplanted American who moved to Canada snd have never regretted it or looked back. Canada just tries harder to get it right. Doesn't always succeed but who does? The biggest difference is the bitterness and rage and division that dominates the culture in the US. I have lived snd worked all over the world on every continent except Antarctica and nowhere--NOWHERE- have I met people who hate their fellow citizens the way Americans do. But when the immigrants do go to Canada and see that the cost of living there is actually much higher than in the countries which they came from, they end up leaving. I lived in Canada for half of my life and now live in the US. I have travelled around the world and the same issues Canada has are worldwide. Taxes, increase in prices (groceries, gas etc), homelessness are world wide issues. \nSocialized medicine what was once thought to be the greatest is disappointing at best. Long wait times,lack of doctors in rural communities and poor pay for many doctors are having them head state side. \n\nI hope you find your next country and it works out. Canada will always be home and you can always come back.
