Just for the looks of the video, I can't think of any Northern states or any Canadian province that borders with the desert in between?. That's all clips that the southern border the illegals coming across are the ones coming from the states into Canada. I am a white Canadian have family and friends in the USA and I tried to move to the usa back in the early 2000's because I had a job could not do it because I was not allowed but it seems if you are other then white it is so much easier and everyone said I should go now because Trudeau is a dictator and that I am a law abiding Conservative that wants to leave Canada because our PM is nothing but a POS Liberal that is robbing the hard working real Canadians and cutting us off of having a good job because of DEI. Canada border patrol overseers need to do a better job in securing that part of the border on that side. They can stop those buses and check those planes for them coming into the US. They could do it and they could do better job in doing that they don’t want to do it. It’s not a difficult thing to do use their brain a little bit that they probably have that doesn’t make sense. They’re still coming in from Canada. They’re just not affected if they were then they wouldn’t be coming in or sneaking in by buses.

As a Canadian, I care more about who is getting into Canada than who is getting into the US. I want to know from my government how are these people getting into Canada in the first place?? Canada needs to fix how people are getting into our country first. Then this will naturally help keep these folks from using the land border to gain access to the US.

As a US citizen, I am sad for both Canada and the US. We were great allies, and now that is gone. I wanted to move to Nova Scotia and start a new life doing my art and be a part of a culture I love. This is why it is so important to participate in the election process! The future is uncertain, but for those who care about our countries, we need to work together to bring back democracy and bring down the cost of living. It is insane what we are experiencing now!

Comparing the US to Canada, I notice we have more freedoms here in Canada in spite of the high cost of living, and because of the freedoms we have more solidarity to call Canada our home. We don’t pack a piece when we leave home to run errands, we don’t whirl the maple leaf, we don’t adorn our buildings with the maple leaf, and we don’t wear maple leaf clothing. We don’t do any of these things because we don’t need to, because we are not paranoid, and that is why we don’t have the level of violence that is in the US. This land is our home, and it has always been peaceful for the most part, until now that Trump is touting threats of taking Canada as the 51st state. He wants Canada because we have the natural resources that the US needs. He will build a direct line to Alaska. He will drill all over Canada wherever he wants. He will kick Canadians off their land to drill. Trump will do whatever he wants because he’s a business man. He does not take others into consideration, just his own plans to meet his own selfish gains. What Trump is doing are illegal manoeuvres and he must be stopped. There has got to be a limit within legal guidelines to stop this insanity.

When Canada got the chance to become a country, Quebec didn't want to be a part of it so therefore it was not an official country. That means the people's right Constitution didn't go through. Each province can easily leave and join America or become its own country. That's why you see province to province have tariff on each other. Last time Trump was in power, he said he'd work on making it cheaper for Americans to get healthcare.\n\nWhat he did was make it easier for Americans to do what's called Health Tourism, and go to Canada for cheaper medication and healthcare.\n\nThis time around, he's claiming Canadians want to become American because we want the US healthcare system.\n\nIf that was the case, why would he make it easier for US citizens to go to Canada for healthcare and pharmaceuticals during his first term if the US healthcare system was better than the Canadian's healthcare?

Well nothing like that, I live in Canada and can verify that. Problem is quality of immigrants, especially student is trash in Canada, Australia and Europe. They come to shady universities for studies, work full time both legally and illegally rather than studying and at end of their education, they have a fake degree with zero value. Just like most of the new graduates in India who have a degree with no practical value. \nIf you have a good degree, right skills in tech and some experience, there are tons of opportunities in Canada. I cuss Canada everyday but that's because I lived 10 years of life - studies and work in USA. So whether I move to Canada or any other country in the world, I would do the same as US has no equal in the world. I lived in US for 10 years, then India for 3 years and came to Canada 3 years back. I would still move to India after getting Canadian citizenship, but not because Canada has something bad or India has something exceptional to offer, but because I want to live with my parents in India. Thats the reason I left US but came to Canada to get a backup.

Lets keep i real. The desire that most immigrants have is homeostasis which is the familiar. All humans do this. Individually indians are usually smart and decent people. But in groups ( and this doesnt just include indians) you get this group thinking that is prejudice against anyone who isnt one of their own. Im fairly certain its a good demonstration of what a different culture would experience in their own country. Its that same inclusives mentality that keep the government corruption very small which empowers the citizens to make them successful and able to contribute more back into this system. The very nature of hoarding resources for ones family, same culture, etc are the same oppressive situations many of these people left their countries to seek better opportunities. But once given those opportunities and a chance to decide for themselves, a lot of these people use their liberties to create exclusion and hostility toward out groups. The indians do this in a very overt in your face way, the chinese are more polite about it but both have this way of looking out for their own and not being concerned with anyone else. As far as im conerned you should all be split up and dispersered to live in different provinces and cites. Update 3/2/25 Canada and Mexico caved to Trump's demands and are giving him what he wants, the stop the flow of illegal aliens and drugs into the US on the Mexico/US/Canada borders. Canada and Mexico now joins Columbia, Venezuela, and Panama for countries bending the knee to Trump's demands. Canada and the US used to share a warm relationship. Living close to Canada, our girls hockey teams frequently play the Canadian girls. Over the past 5+ years, the behavior of the Canadian girls changed from competitive, but decent, to vicious, laced with insults and injury. We no longer want to play them because you can predict a concussion suffered every fifth game or so. Trump's unfriendly actions will be met with equally unfriendly actions from Canada to the detriment of both.

Canada and Mexico should quit NAFTA and apply to join the EU. If Trump wants to isolate the US, he can knock himself out.

Canada and Mexico’s 25% does not actually equal US’s 25%. Canada and Mexico are consumers more than producers. They are both addicted to American investments and products and the US wants to bring jobs back to the US.

A lot of us Americans remember learning about the tariff wars in history class that ended up in deciding fair trade was the better route. I fear we’re about to learn the same lesson again…\n\nAs far as the drug trade goes apparently the GOV doesn’t spend enough time on the internet because the cartels are no longer just in Mexico they’re in the USA and in Canada. They have learned the Canadian border is a lot easier to cross and they can get into BC pretty easily due to relaxed immigration policies In Canada.. they probably don’t actually know where the drugs are coming from or where they’re being manufactured entirely. The cartels are probably a step ahead of them at the moment. \n\nI can’t believe the auto industry lobbyists were not instructed to go full send on the detriment of the opposite position taken from the NAFTA. The only thing I can see is auto sales are slumping and maybe they can blame this on the tariff policy for massive restructuring. \n\nI kind of understand wanting to negotiate with Mexico because they probably buy less American goods than Americans buy Mexican goods (drugs excluding) but I’m guessing Canada is a better customer of American goods than Americans are of Canadian goods. Why would you want to upset a good partner, customer, and ally!? It’s Beyond my comprehension…. If Trump was really smart he’d convince some factories to actually invest in Mexico with cooperation from the Mexican government investing in efficient transportation from the manufacturing sectors to the American border and the coasts for distribution. This would likely really help their economy and change the whole dynamic of all the things Trump has issues with. Fix it at the source not try to treat the symptoms.

The US has been running a trade deficit with Mexico, China, and Canada for almost two decades now—Canada only makes up 6% of all US imports while the US makes up 63% of all Canadian imports.\n\nCanada will have to find more trade partners besides the US if it doesn't want its consumers paying 25% more for US goods, most of which are mechanical machinery, automotive parts and vehicles, minerals, medical equipment, energy products, and consumer goods.

When will people realize this is the way to force American business back into making things in America again. \nDoes any American complaining about this actually understand the trade inequity the USA did to itself with NAFTA and with our other current trade agreements? If you live in USA it truly isn’t an equil trade scenario, and was intended to boost our neighbors economy back in the 90’s….. in 2025 it’s just too detrimental and one sided in a bad way to continue allowing the same things/services to be done cheaper outside the USA based upon current import/export terms.\nThe old but current trade agreements benefit ALL at the USA’s expense. It’s not a difficult thing to grasp, it’s just not equil or fair, because Canada and Mexico (and south) benefit more at the expense to the USA… Americans just want it to be fair for us too. \nThe ERA of everyone sucking on the tit of America is over, because the American public is more than over it..

The US has a trade deficit around $1 TRILLION. So, this isn't anything personal against Canada; I think Trump wants to impose tariffs on ALL imports to encourage domestic manufacturing and flip the trade deficit. He's just using situations of importance to also gain political leverage.

This was the correct decision because the US wants bring jobs back to the USA. Jobs in Mexico vs USA trump will choose jobs in the US; Politely subsidized lumber from Canada vs lumber from the USA easy decision; Dairy from Oh' Canada , a short term squeeze. The only alternatives are China and Russia. \n- 60% of all imported oil in the US comes from Canada. \n- Electricity produced in Canada is delivered to the states of New York, Vermont, Maine and over 20 other US states. We’ll soon find out if convicted felon Trump and his supporters need Canada when that electricity gets turned off. If Trump can rip our mutually-negotiated agreements so can Canada. We did not ask for this economic war nor did we start it. Trump did. \n \nIt's also time to super-tax every pound of US coal being exported through Roberts Bank Super-port in Delta, British Columbia, Canada. The American coal exported through Roberts Bank does not even pay a provincial carbon tax like all BC residents pay. Canadians are about to show Trump what happens when you consistently lie and stab your best customer and neighbour in the back. We are not afraid of Trump. Canada is the second-largest country in the world by land area and we have the longest coastline in the world, with over 243,000 kilometers of shoreline. We will continue expanding our trade with Pacific Rim countries, Europe, Mexico and beyond. They all need and want our lumber, minerals, oil and gas, grass fed beef, and the dependable, respectful trading partner that we are.

Canada needs the US more than the US needs Canada. Canada lives rent free under the protection of the US. Canada wants to tariff the US go ahead. The US has vast amounts of timber, coal, oil, beer, cheese ,bacon and strip clubs. We're good Canada.

Nice people, but their woke leaders have neglected their responsibilities to the point over half of Canadians want to join the United States. Maybe I shouldn't like this but I do. Firstly, Canada has the luxury of not really needing to protect itself, they get to spend 3% what the US does on their military so they can focus on other things, like letting immigrants into the Country to price out the native Canadians and jailing people for misusing pronouns. Also, I want to see the US become slightly more isolationist, I'll happily pay more for US products. A tariff is paid buy the businesses who attempt to pass that cost down to the consumer. We need tariffs high enough that making things in the US makes more sense to these businesses.

Trump should really look hard into the last time the US went to war with CANADA it really didn't end well for US. We are really only nice when treated with respect as we treat others. This does not mean we are a push over or that we can be bullied. My family has a lot of US friends and we are sure that don't want this either...but rest assured we will not back down....and we do not want to become part of your USA Trump by any means. You are a dictator and not even a very smart one.

Trump claimed the US doesnt need Canada - Canada doesnt want to deal with a Felon who acts like a mafia mob boss trying to pull an illegal shakedown after a contract was already signed - the thing about trust - it is lost easily - gaining it back - not so much - so time to align with trading partners who don't try to screw us.

Unfortunately the Canadian government is playing right in the Trump‘s hands that’s Trump‘s game that’s his plan he wants counter tariffs from Canada so that he can up the tariffs to 100% that’s the plan because he wants to discourage companies in Canada and Mexico so that they’ll leave Canada and Mexico and come to the US he’s offering huge tax breaks to any companies that want to invest in the US. As Trump’s plan it’s like checkmate crown me king he just give him what he wants he knew it from the beginning and he said it if Canada counter tariffs the US he was put in his terrace at 100% but that’s the plan and the plan is to discourage companies in Canada so they’ll leave what they’re doing

Canada really don't understand the equation, they stand nowhere infront of US. They should better comply with Trump to avoid more tariffs or possible sanctions. US can destroy their economy like Iran or Venezuela. Canada has no partners at the world stage, they never invested. \nIf you want to show strength, first build it. Canada is totally at the mercy of US.
