The US needs a good slap.

Hopefully, Trump gives Canada an offramp... Make it simple, Canada drops ALL tariffs on US goods, and we do the same. Canada has had significant tariffs on some US goods that go back many years. This is unacceptable.

This is why CNN should fail. Instead of finding someone who speaks French to interpret what Trudeau is saying they have morons telling us this isn't good. So boring. So worthless.

Trump did a good thing. All you woke, soft hearted liberals don't get the fact that the USA has been allowing these other countries to eat off of us for free. Well, that' stops today. The President/PM of Ukraine will also learn a valuable lesson today as well. Never bite the hand that feeds you. All of our tax dollars have been donated around the world to other people's causes while we are made to suffer. We have a financial crisis right here in America that needs to be addressed. This is the start, and in the long term, we will prevail. Canada is like a little sister to the US. Trudeau is talking about fighting and they can't survive a war without our help. Neither can many of the other NATO countries. So, middle finger to him and any other country that opposes us. It's time stop being taken advantage of and for the USA to start acting like we are the most powerful nation in the world. As an American and stock investor, I firmly believe that Canada should just ban the export of goods, services and energy products to the US and increase their trade with other countries with the condition that trade will be unbanned once the entire GOP is removed from political power in all three branches of the US. They would be removed either willingly or not within days if not hours.

As a Dutch European who was going on holiday to the States which i cancelled and re-booked to Canada ( and so did my travel companions ) i do stand with Canada and would rather spend my money there now ( the least i can do for what they did for us, no matter how little, every little bit helps ) Sorry to the good Americans, but i will not spend one cent in America or on\n American goods for as long as that Dictator is in power. Trudeau is a weak little man. Canada has always had tariffs on US goods, but now that the US does it back, they cry about it.

All you had to do was protect the border and lower the many tariffs you have on US goods. Over a million people in the US have died due to fentanyl and the human trafficking. Canada and its bureaucratic masters are realizing that America no longer wants to be part of the new world order and global elite bureaucratic government. The US is 37 trillion in debt we are currently dismantling our own corrupt bureaucracy and ending the Hegemony to focus on America first instead of policing the world for the elites. Canada, Mexico and the EU better adjust because no more handouts are coming we simply can't afford it.

Let us not forget, that there is also a boycott of travel to the United States which means there are billions of dollars that will not be spent on travel, on accommodation, on the purchase of goods while in the States because there is no longer vacation or travel being done by Canada. Good job Justin. There's nothing else you could have said or done. The problem as I see it, is that responding in kind to Trump like this is possibly to invite an invasion, justified by Trump claiming that Canadian assets are essential to US national security. It's hard to parse the provocation from the US as anything less than a pretext to eventually try and annexe Canada. Maybe Russia will attack the Baltics at the same time. It's becoming increasingly obvious that the US Government is no longer a friend to the free world.
