I came to this country via the federal immigration process, with a skilled worker visa nearly 15 years ago. I have always had high paying jobs, own my house, and my car. I don’t regret coming here, but I think the current economic environment is quite different than when I came here. Unless we provide more support for newcomers, I don’t think they will stick around too long.

I think all we need to do is pay more attention to what’s happening throughout Europe! Mass migration is destroying everything in its wake, it should and must be stopped immediately, this country is not prepared nor able to support any more immigrants, what we need is to take care of and create security for the Canadians born in this country, the natural population, not immigrant population, extend our hand when we are certain that our own future security is firmly rooted! Including our laws, and ideologies,First Nations and generational Canadian before immigrants.

If Canada is heading towards poverty , is it due to hard working immigrants ? What a Silly argument . Poverty is , if you do not work , live on social money . The Lazy obess are looking for a scapegoat . if 2nd Largest Country can't support 47 million people , the fault is not with any type of work doing immigrants , it's somewhere else .

Its NOT Anti Immigration. Its the rise of unwanted people. totally different. A lot is out fault, Because if the potential immigrants were told, You need a skill, You need proof you can support yourself, If you commit ANY crime, your out. Plus you get Zero benefits, Till you pay UK Tax, for ten years, And even then No Dole payments, Most people would go with this. This has been a problem for 40 years and the reason where hearing about it now is black rock a hedge fund wants to buy up Single family homes/condos and cannot mass rent without changes to the landlord and tenant board. It is the reason the interest rate is currently so high, push people to bankruptcies and buy up the bankruptcies. But honestly if the government is subsiding the building of condos, the infrastructure that supports them, then hands out tax money to builders, gears immigration policy to increase demand then hands out trillions in loans though the CMCH and other programs and most people don't have more than 5 to 15 percent down and then they rent the place out; is it really their place to complain about a tenant. After all their ownership is basically subsidiesd completely by the government and the banking system, they are in effect a minority stake holder in a government banking scam.

I was doing some historical research on the Ark of the Covenant....revealed some evidence that the 'Sephardic Jewish' folks have been hiding for thousands of years....and part of this involves the location of the Ark of the Covenant and the REAL exodus lands of the Ashkenazi Jews. I posted my research on a History channel video talking about this. The part they tried to redact was this: \n \nThe real exodus city of the Ashkenazi Jews was Derinkuyu in Turkey. The Islamics of Turkey don't want to give that back to them \n \nThere were THREE types of folks being attacked by Egypt at the time of Ramses II. There is a hieroglyph picture of him holding three dwarves. Three tribes of Jews here: Nubian (Mizrahi), Libyan (Sephardic) and Syrian (Moses' Ashkenazi). The European Jews were put into Turkey. Because they shared European blood with the folks there. They took their cousins in. But only THEIR cousins. \n \nAfter the Sephardic Jews were pushed by Persians into Spain they were kicked out into Morroco / Africa when the Europeans took back this region. They had religious and cultural differences and these folks were not of European blood. \n \nThe Sephardic Jews turned around and moved slaves into the Americas and impersonated French and Spanish settlers creating slave plantations. They blamed Europeans for this. This is probably because they hated both Europeans AND Africans for displacing them. \n \nPlease note they DO NOT have European blood. They are 50-60% Middle Eastern. 10-25% African and 10-25% Asian blooded. Absolutely NO Norse or Celt blood in them. They can pass close enough apparently for Latin folks or Basques. \n \nAfter the Brits took the Americas they gaslit their Ashkenazi cousins (who DO have European blood) into taking territory in Turkey and Syria and pushed them into Europe creating the conflicts that created WW1 and WW2. \n \nThese folks are extremely anti-European. We see them impersonating Spanish in South America. They are impersonating French Canadians in Canada trying to push for separatism from Europeans. They are in Russia causing racial conflicts in Russia possibly as Ingush and Dagestan peoples. It is very likely these are the folks that are attacking us all for racial hatred. Its clear they don't like Africa. Its clear they don't like Europe. Its clear they don't even like their Middle Eastern and Ashkenazi Jewish cousins. \n \nIt is NOT a coincidence that the regions these folks live in are under wars and massive migration movements today. (Israel, Russia/Ukraine, mass Migration of South America, mass Migration of Northern Africa, French Canadian Separatism). I mapped it. They are in EVERY region with wars and displaced migrants today. \n \nIndian Sikhs look like Dagestans. So they might be impersonating Sikhs now. They are causing havoc in Britain, Canada and Guyana. Trying to make money on illegal immigration out of territories they are trying to expand their own peoples INTO. \n \nThey look Middle Eastern they might be impersonating Palestinians and Israeli Jews too. You know all those protestors fueling the war in Israel. \n \nPlease get wise to their anti-European propagandas and stop attacking Europeans because THESE folks don't like us. News flash: they don't like non-Europeans either. These are the people creating chaos. They are impersonating all of our peoples trying to get us to fight each other to take advantage of the chaos. Don't enable them. \n \nTHINK. Do your research....make sure you aren't just someone else's puppet. These folks are dangerous. If you are NOT one of these folks DO NOT support crimes or false propagandas that attack other races before making sure. Don't just believe them when they shove you across the globe in migration when they tell you that you are legal.

A million bluddy immigrants? Nutz. Without industry how can you cannucks support that many?

How is bringing in tens of thousands of Uber drivers and people with no skills supposed to make Canada prosperous ?? The hard-working taxpayers are supporting these immigrants and we are being drained!

I'm not taking a side, but British Columbia needs 52,000 construction workers to meet the high demand for housing. The government plans to bring in 52% of these workers from outside Canada. For those questioning the need for more immigrants, look at the numbers: Canada would struggle without immigrants to support its economy. We just need better visa regulations to ensure only skilled workers are allowed in.

I would like to remind people in my opinion. It's not immigrants fault its fault of government for telling them they can get work and support. Apparently, 40 percent are trying to get back home and leave canada because they cant get jobs either.

Canada needs better immigration laws. Also better screening for those who are chosen to stay. I’ve Hurd of so many people coming to Canada just to live off of welfare and child support benefits, and many who actually want to stay to work and continue a career are deported.

The immigrants that are coming here feel scammed, the older citizens have seen our infrastructure crumble, and our country-born youth are watching their hopes at a decent life fall away. I am an immigrant who moved to Canada about two decades ago, worked day and night now I can't even rent a bachelor room and my fridge is empty since few years, while new immigrants gets all the luxury and 15k credit card, living in Canada is like dying every minute not to be able to support my child and his activities.

A big part of the problem is immigration policies that allowed too many unskilled immigrants who had no or little ability to support themselves. Most legal immigrants before had sponsors who were financially responsible for the immigrant for ten years or the immigrant had skills or means to support themselves while also contributing to their new society rather than always taking and worse complaining about it

You *must* build your way out of this. No more NIMBYs, no more redtape, no more luxury apts. Build, build, build. Straight up, high density, on transit corridors. You must have the immigrants or Canada will turn into Japan with 1 worker supporting 10 people in their 80s who die alone.

Most people in Canada do like immigrants and try and want to accept newcomers . I am happy to see new faces younger people, people with a different outlook. However this lack of housing is a major problem for poor and lower middle class people - citizens and noncitizens. Unfortunately rents are a racket in most cities, the real estate business is full of unnumbered accounts and money laundering; Canada is full of organized crime from all over the world, we cant control foreign attempts at killing our citizen. So we can tell our government is not efficient and is doing a poor jobHowever I dont think the average immigrant is the problem and I feel they are treated like rubes by our government and taken advantage of and so are Canadians of different ethnic backgrounds who also suffer the same problems of many immigrants. That's the truth. Letting people in with out providing opportunities for jobs, housing, support is foolish and destructive to our country. As an immigrant I totally support to stop mismanaged immigration. I came 14 years ago. Been trucking for 8 years. Still not able to achieve a small goal of a stress free live.. now even thinking to go back with nothing in hand.. all my hard-work and commitment is just gone in vain

“Anti-immigrant “ has a negative connotation and I dont think that is an accurate description of how people are feeling. People are not generally against immigrants or immigration, but against a system that is ill equipped and lacking the infrastructure to meet the needs of Canada’s economy and the immigrants that would boost that. Titling this video as “anti-immigrant” is not helpful and further has to the potential to divide Canadians which doesn’t help the situation. Some people may in fact become “anti-immigrant” because of the lack of planning and thus successful integration of immigrants, but I think the majority are welcoming to immigration provided there is sufficient support and planning.

As an immigrant, I believe that the current racial structure of immigrants has destroyed the original structure of Canadian society. In addition, I support economic immigrants who can create and bring consumption and wealth to Canada, and the number of refugees needs to be controlled based on the capacity of Canada’s welfare institutions， shouldnt be unlimited，is crazy.

This is not racism and anti-immigration. We need immigrants to support the economy growth, but it needs to be well planned. We just don't have enough infrastructure to support a huge influx in a short period of time. It shouldn't be too hard to understand modesty and sustainability are important.

We vote in politicians to represent our best interests. How is the current rates of immigration benefitting the average person in any way? It doesn't mean we have anything personal against those moving here, but surely you can't expect people to support a policy that lowers their quality of life in every single metric.

I've got behind on my rent in the past. \nI lived out my last month's rent. \nI'm sorry to the landlord I couldn't pay $2,400 in 2 months. \nBut I left so I gave them no further aggravation and problems so we could all move on. \nI put myself on the street and lost everything. \nEventually I got back on my feet got my own place. \nNot keeping these good landlords supporting me. \nI love this man he sounds like a good man good luck sir you're the kind of immigrants we need in this country to have full-time citizenship you work so hard to get where you are today❤

I am living in India and planning to go us but still i don't support immigration at such large and bombarding scale. There should be some eligibility to stay and strict laws on deporting if they fail the eligibility( like willing to embrace new culture instead of propagating their culture and try to make it their home country) Remember that most the people are leaving their country because of trend and society influence they live in. Immigration is way too high….and India seems to be the priority for immigration dept. the infrastructure does not exist to support this influx. The quality of immigrants has deteriorated. The liberal government has mismanaged immigration and international students to the point citizens are being evicted for developers to rebuild or renovate for new immigrants. It’s disgusting….

I'm an immigrant myself and I agree that the current infrastructure cannot support the amount of people coming in.\nThere is also a need to vet people more carefully, as otherwise we are just importing criminals (and their criminal relations)

This piece is misleadingly titled. It's not that Canadians are anti-immigration. It's that the Government is not preparing the country for the influx of the immigration it's attracting. There's no housing, there's no schooling, there's no social structures in place to support the newcomers. Canadians are not against immigration. Canadians are against mismanaged social structures and lack of leadership in running the country in a sensible way.

Hello Gaurdian - let me set you straight - though I doubt the truth is the point of this video. The vast majority of Canadians support legal immigration. My parents and spouse are immigrants from different continents - all three support legal well managed immigration and oppose illegal immigration. Canadians are against immigration levels that are unsustainable regarding housing, employment and government services. Canadians favour a well managed, sustainable immigration policy that is beneficial to legal residents and the nation.

As long as NYC is able to support all the immigrants, let them allow them in!

I'm an immigrant in Canada (Since 2003) and I support controlled immigration, last few years have been a disaster. We cant keep bringing in 100s of thousands of people. Stop this insanity.

I have met very few people against immigration outright. Usually most people have opinions on the methods. The last 9 years has been an almost unchecked immigration policy. That needs to stop. For immigrants to come here and be stuck in a loop like this not being able to support themselves is evidence of how sloppy the immigration policy has become.

I love immigrants. I hate that we don't have a system that supports the challenges that come with massive growth.

Like others have said here, most Canadians are not anti-immigration. Most Canadians grew up proud that we live in such a cosmopolitan country. What people are against is the immigration policies of the current Trudeau government which has led to a degradation in public services and contributed to massively inflated real estate values due to the simple rule of supply and demand. There has been a noticeable and real decline in the quality of life for the average Canadian over the past decade. It is genuinely confounding how anyone can continue to support this government. We are seeing our country go down the drain before our eyes.

I'm an immigrant to Canada. I've been here for 35 years (came here when I was 6). The current immigration/migration/ayslum seeker rates have gone completely insane. It isn't racist to think it's gone overboard. I went to very very multicultural schools. I grew up in Toronto and have lived downtown for 20 years now. I love our multiculturalism but there are limits to immigration if there simply isn't an infrastructure to support countless hundreds of thousands of people trying to move into the city each year. It's not sustainable at all. The roads aren't getting bigger, the housing zoning isn't getting easier, new hospitals aren't being built. You cannot try and cram 4 million people in a city built for like 2 million people. People moving to Canada simply do not realize just how absurdly expensive this place has become. What's the better alternative being poor in India or being poor in Canada? Because unless you are making 100k a year you are going to basically be poor in Toronto.\n\nThe big big difference as someone who has lived downtown Toronto for 20 years is now the homeless are very multicultural. 10 years ago it wasn't like that as much. Now people from every race and every background are at risk of homelessness. It's a rate race, it's a very competitive city for housing and jobs and as soon as you aren't in making $$$$$ you will fall behind.

If Canadians think new govt will solve the problem. They are dead wrong. This is the vicious cycle they can not get out. Their own structure can not support pensions and salaries. They need to bring in new immigrants otherwise the system cycle will collapse. As far as housing is concern. Does Canada have shortage of land ? Its due to policies that new housing is not coming up thus driving prices through the roof. No govt will gonna change that because corporate interests are involved and not house owners wanted their prices to go down. Which happened to be biggest voting block. Thus ordinary young Canadians are feeling the music and they see new students as the enemy. In fact it is the students who go through horrible exploitation ordinary Canadians cannot imagine. Canadians economy is an artificial economy based AND ITS BUBBLE WILL GO POP IF IT STOPS IMMIGRATION. Harsh reality and see if Mr Poilievre gonna change that ??. They are all the same bunch of liars like Trudeau. Don't forget Trudeau was charming prince ones. They all change with Realities.

Only greedy landlords and their political friends have benefited from this disastrous Government immigration debacle. Canadians can only hope now, that the Mexican Cartels and their Chinese partners, will filter some of their profits to the fast food restaurants and Tim Hortons \nso at least they will survive the crisis of business failures, as most Canadians will not have expendable income, with out a criminal side hustle, to support any other Canadian owned business’s.

In a nutshell. When the immigrants outnumber Canadians it ceases to be Canada. When more money and support is given to foreigners than Canadians that have paid taxes for their whole lives it's a travesty. Newly landed immigrants have more opportunities than my Canadian born children even though I have paid an insane amount of taxes to Canada my whole life.
