I am a telecom engineer I came to Canada in 2019 as a master student. I accepted to work as cable technician but what is really strange that all my community were happy that I am able to find a job in technical sector! Although i am over over qualified!\nI applied for pr since 2021 until now no answer!

Send them back. I came to canada in 2017 as an international student, paid shit tons of money for housing, tuition fees. Worked full time after graduation,yet my immigration process is taking long. Evey step I took went through proper screening, and yet it's taking forever. Send them back. At this point theres no gurantee for people like me to get permanent residence over here. With all the back logs etc. So why should they be granted status, while my work permit expires in 6 months and immigration officers wont bother to answer my phone calls for extension. I have paid my taxes, I have obeyed the law. I'm a law abiding citizen. At this point, I'm even thinking of going back. This country wants new talents and more people to add to their workforce. But if they treat people like me like this. Then we might as well go back.

I came as an international student years ago. Education here in a reputable capital university was mediocre to say the least, the universities were greedy - books costed hundreds back then. I eventually made it to employment and some level of comfort but the cost was too high, wasn't worth it and destroyed my best years. Dont do it unless u are rich, kids

@CitImmCanada -I came to Canada in 2018 , paid my Tutiom fees working day and night offf , completed my graduation in 2020.I worked as manager in gas station from 2020-2022 during pandemic putting my life on risk , you guys first messed your immigration system during pandemic,after pandemic you got this absurd system of TR2PR , messed up your own system , in which there are Still millions of files pending , then you guys stopped the immigration for 1 year, still I thought it would get better with the time. When the immigration started back in this July the scores were so high that only PHD and people outside Canada with 0 canadian skills can only get the PR. You guys then gave visas to Afghanis , Ukrainians (the fake humanitarian help your government provides )which I don’t mind but the government should have fixed the people who are and we’re here , who came as students , who has all the details of the individuals , has all the experience needed , has all the potential needed to start the career , has 0 criminal record but no you guys keeps getting new and messed up plans. like seriously this country and system is run by this type of people. I am gonna be going back to my country soon as I don’t wantt to stay now in Canada. The coming 10 years will be a disaster if your government and people won’t WAKE UP!!!!

thanks for bringing up attention to the canadians from what international students suffer from? this is the story of every international student who came abroad just to fulfill their dreams yet these agents and colleges treat them like money making machines and exploiting their rights for gold rush?

My husband came as student and struggled for 10 years straight working in snow working in rain and summer this hurts when ppl get PR citizenship for free

As someone who was an international student in Canada, failed and came back, I’m surprised to see this. What were these people expecting? If you can’t afford to send your child to an international college, don’t do it. If you have to take a loan and put everything you have at risk. If your kids are supposed to work to cover their expenses. How tf is a teenager supposed to work AND study at the same time, living in a foreign country alone, having no one close. It’s the families responsibility to do their research, what does the country has to do with poor financial decisions of a certain group of people? I watched the first 9 minutes only, though.

High tuition fee is not limited to Canada alone. I came from a South American country and our tuition for foreign students were higher that that of our citizens

At a time when Internet was at its infancy and not available to all, I had researched, applied (snail mail), and came to Canada in 1995 as a foreign student and attended a public college for 3+ years, including co-op. This was 27 years ago and it surprises me that with the wealth of information at our disposal today, there are folks who are still being taken for a ride. People need to smarten up, but often times, I find that it’s the shortcut attitude of many which allows a system like this to exists. I feel sad for these students and their parents, but if you truly want to have a full-fledged Uni / College experience in Canada, then stay away from these for-profit private colleges; apply to a school of repute.

I feel so bad for these students. Those teachers mentioning that we will look back 20 years from now and feel ashamed about this situation. Well, the situation hasn’t changed much since I came to Canada in 95. Education was a business back then and it is still a business. I got my education in some of the top universities in Canada but never felt like it was for education, it was more like running business for these universities.

This is truly heartbreaking, I feel so sorry for International Students who came here with dreams but were given something far below that. I am a Canadian born student, brought up and raised in Brampton but I made friends with many international students. I don't understand how International students have to pay 3-4x our tuition, cover their living expenses, and have work restrictions on their study permit. The truth is competion is everywhere and companies are competing for top students who go to credible universites. I don't see how international students are suppose to compete with these students when there is a shortage of high-paying jobs. I truly feel bad. I advise students to tell their stories to their younger siblings and cousins back home and prevent them from living a hard-working life with little reward. Advise them to complete their studies back home and find a job in big cities back home. As a domestic student I struggle to pay for my own expenses and I could not imagine if I did not have my parents support. This is fraud on another level!!!

I came from the US and attended a well known Canadian university, and even I had trouble finding a job. If I hadn’t been able to then all the money Canada spent subsidizing my education would have gone back to the US. But compared to these Punjabi students I had it great.

I came to Canada as international student and studied in Public College 10 years ago. There are numerous “Private” colleges in Surrey and Brampton recruit poor international students. The colleges don’t not care.

One more thing must be mentioned: how international students are exploited by Indian community who came here 20..30 years back itself, these people torture students while living in basements, rented rooms in their houses.\nSecondly, these people hire students at work (mostly factories, warehouses and Indian restaurants) and pay them half the minimum wage, exploiting and stressing them.

I'm a first generation immigrant and I'm disgusted by this video. Here they are, people who obviously came to this country as students, got their education here and now complain about healthcare, not being able to make enough money, segregation and their boredom. If not the sense of undeserved entitlement, then what's it? Do not listen to these immature, if not to say childish bloggers. Canada is the best, friendliest and warmest (even though our winters may be cold) place for new comers, who are willing to work hard for their future.

Well said Mate. I'm Nigerian studying in Melbourne and you are very on point with your submissions. Australia is notoriously gaining a reputation of being a country of temporary immigrants. I dont see why I should give my best years to a country treating you as an option when canada is making you a priority. \n\nWould you have stayed on if you got a Job in your field that also chose to sponsor your PR? Would the cold in cananda make you reconsider your decisions? That's a racket I dont seem to understand. So much emphasis on skills and job shortages, yet many skilled graduates from their universities are being denied jobs based on their Residency status. \n\nI.met a Ghanain PHD student in my Uni who came from Canada, he said wages are higher here hence his reason for coming. \n\nLike you said , its a personal journey for everyone.\n\nSomehow, I don't blame them. They never promised PR but they should not also give impression that we are coveted.\n\nI still dont regret coming here though, it adds to my rich life experience. I have one question, it will be really helpful if you could answer \ni came on open work permit with my husband(student). Initially i was not getting any skilled jobs(O,A,b). So i did various warehouse jobs.\nNow i have completed my 1 year noc B skilled job and want to apply for CEC.\nMy question is do i need to fill all the jobs while applying on cec ? Or just the noc b 1 year is fine ?

I came to America when I was 22 .. student life was fun because you have lot of friends I studied in Pennsylvania and in California.. but right after college I lived in a state called Delaware for almost 4 months.. some of the most depressing times of my life .. I experienced everything you said in your video.. at 24 I didn't have a job yet because 2008 happened and so I didn't have a car .. most of the time I am stuck in the apartment studying.. I was so desperate to even see people .. the only place I used to become happy by seeing people is when I go to the mall .. 6 o clock in the evening you don't see anyone in the apartments .. it used to be like ghost town .. I ran away from that place the first opportunity I got ..no matter how much money someone offers I am never going back to Wilmington Delaware

I came to Canada as a student in January 2020.. Just 3 months in and the pandemic broke out.. I think the Government forgot about the fact that they have international students residing here… we go no socialisation, no friends to hang out with and as a very social person it really hit me hard… Idk it kinda sucks that I had to be completely isolated for 2 years and it’s still the same…

Okay so I lived in the UK for 1 year under student visa. I came back to my country and it has been over a year since I am living in Bangladesh. Do I need to submit UK police clearance? Or police clearance from my home country is enough?

Having experience of 2 years In Microbiology Laboratory As a Jr. LABORATORY TECHNICIAN. worked in COVID-19 Testing Laboratory As Well. Currently he came to Canada as on student permit, doing Health care Administration & services management.\nHow to get Laboratory technician License. 100% came as an international student. Will leave after working in Canada for a few years to recoup the costs and gain some experience

Well put . I came to Canada at the age of 12 in 1992. After graduating in 2002 I was unable find a job in my field even entry level. I worked in cx service for another 5 years until i paid the little student loan I owed 15K. Then I made a way to move to USA. Took me 3 weeks to land a job in my field. I also got my masters. After 3 years in the USA came back to over priced Toronto to get married. Even as a nurse Toronto is unaffordable. Bills and more bills. Goal is to return to my native country, I already bought lands and is preparing. I got kids but I don't want them to stress. Education is everywhere.

I came to Canada as a student. Applied through to get my permanent residency. Improved my English, also learnt French. Worked multiple jobs... learned the Canadian way of life. Amalgamated myself into this wonderful country and it's even more awesome people... most importantly always paid my taxes and never been on EI... now your telling me I should have just walked across the border and within 12 hours I would have received refugee status... phewww that's a blow out

Even i came to Canada as a student. We all struggled to reach where we are in life. If you don't hustle, you won't get anywhere.

Shukar hai kisi ne sch to bola .Nhi to yha NRI's aese ho k aate hai jaise canada pe victory e krli ho.See now people realise what's the pain of doing labour.Here our constitution gives full right of freedom to move anywhere ,right to speech still people here like treat other state people like they are strangers came from some other country.North south walo ko north east walo ko ,eastern part states ko aur aap canada ja k meager jobs krte hai and showed like they are super duper cool.Hmare log to apne e brother sisters ka kam krte hai unke kheto me kaam krte hai aur jo yha se jaate hai wo geroin ka kaam krte hai .I know remittance play very important role in our economy as I am a economics student.But I just want to say give respect to everyone in this world to every people.Our indians are there just modern labourers and our brothers here traditional just simple as that .And after if somebody got degree there ,no matters how good you are at academics first they will prefer their own white race then our people which is totally fine because they are their own people they need their security first and I understand that.I have a friend there .He told me indian students also do illegal work like working on cash or more hours than permitted.Sometimes more of different type which I can't say .but you can't judge whole race ,caste ,religion on the basis of this.Same principle apply everywhere.But I love to see my people are exploring more and learning new things there .My intension is just respect everyone with love and dignity.

Dude u are crying n telling your prblms that u are working very hard n loosing your weight n all blah blah this is nthng my brother i also applied for student visa for uk 4 years ago n they never give me visa so i came to south Africa n started working as a self employee i work like 13 hours a day without any off day (holiday) just contiously frm last 3 year but now i made like almost 100 rand per hour. N thats called the real struggle

Nowadays if you live in Brampton it's a shame! It's highest crime rate in GTA, 8 students convicted crime and deported, they came from India!

Our PM needs to do what trump did, kicked all the illegal people, banned students from getting PR, or calling there family here, that needs to happen here. Because in the past 3 to 4 years many people came to Canada illegally and they all need to be kicked from this country, if you can’t get here own your own base don’t come here at all. Also please learn to speak English before you come here, English and French are too language people should speak, if you can’t speak one of them leave or learn, and wear modern clothes this isn’t some 20th century, this is 21th century’s where people wear modern clothes start to wear them, or your whole community will be hated more then it already is.
