Another YouTuber did a video about this months ago. Illegal immigrants had an easier time getting over the border from Canada. It’s wide open and closer to sanctuary cities/states. Like people near Mexico, citizens in northern NY were saying that illegal immigrants were walking through their property in the middle of the night.

I moved here 2018 . Canada has been great to me .I was able to go to college and graduate. I seen a video on TikTok going viral talking about a migrant lady had $13,000 on her EBT card and like a $5000 cash balance like this is so unbelievable. I hope that it wasn’t true like I’m American. Excellent video highlighting this terrible problem. TBH, the world outside of USA isn't all that bad in modern times. Its actually better. Many of these migrants already have a house, job and safety in their own countries. I Feel like the 'cartel' story is overly used to make seeking asylum easy. If the cartels are the problem, then why not go to the root and get rid if the cartels?\n\nFor migrants, it's a fashion and status to say 'I've been to USA'. They lie about their sexuality, oppression abuse and persecution in order to be granted asylum in the US because they know how to make Americans sympathize and make Americans pay their bills. True asylum seekers who need this benefit can never afford their travel all the way to USA. It is those folks who can benefit and should from the program, not the ones who lie, pollute and could care less about hard working Americans that are law abiding tax paying citizens. A country should always take care of its citizens first before another counties citizens. Other countries should care for their own citizens and their problems, not the USA.

If you think this is a real threat, you are so hopelessly addicted to fear it boggles the mind. This is one of the most ignorant videos I have seen in quite a while. Drug cartels operate on a secret logistics, repeat customer business model. Relying on one way couriers is idiotic. Asylum seekers wouldn't be a problem if major countries(primarily the US) would stop destroying smaller country's government infrastructure and handing the reins over to corporations and mercenary gangs to operate as corrupt a system as possible so they can fill their pockets. How would YOU like to live in a country where the only jobs are near slave jobs and mercenary gangs roam freely, extorting you and stealing your kids to use as child soldiers or in sex trafficking? As for the Canada aspect... Canada does take in asylum seekers and refugees too. The only ones who would travel to Canada and then to the US either already have family in the US, a job lined up or they need to pay back the people who financed their trip.

What is the root cause of the divide in the living conditions between Indian newcomers and Canadian born people? Indians rarely get into bad habits like alcohol or drug abuse. Indians can work hard to improve their skillset to cater to the demand of the economy. Maybe born Canadians have taken the system for granted and become entitled, and don't want to put in the hard work to adapt to the changing economy or job needs. Maybe all they do is complain. This video tries to show a bipolar picture which may not be 100% true. Just interviewing the homeless but not well off Canadians betrays the agenda of the presenter.

I’m an Indian international student currently in a master’s program in Canada and I think this video perfectly speaks to a lot of problems in the country. I chose Canada due to its high quality of education. I personally also think the country messed up with their mass immigration with no quality check of individuals coming from India. If a person is allowed to be in a foreign country they must assimilate into its culture and values or at the bare minimum not force your own beliefs on the people there. I find a lot of entitlement certain immigrant population feel quite ridiculous , it’s not racist to want people who come into your country to be respectful of it’s values. I would just like to say that not every Indian immigrant is the same though there are people who just wanted a different life and embrace the culture of the country that they had an opportunity to be a part of.

If we talk about some special cases like gynaecologist you don’t have to wait for such long time as you mentioned in your research in this video……. For common cases u definitely have to wait for it but for sure not for these emergency cases…… and if we talk about life and expenses it will definitely be hard for people who are not educated well, who don’t have any skills.. but if you are well educated and you have skills you can earn as much as you want to….. \n\n\nIf you are well educated and have skills you can afford anything and have best life … And all about drugs even if government made them legal it’s upto you that you are using them or not….. nobody will force you to take them….

It is just over priced now. in the 90s in SC it was so GOOD. \n\nMy only hard disagreement is our politics. Our politics are boring I agree but that is because classically in Canada, our politicians stick to the issues. We try not to make our politics a spectical like Pro Wrestling. Frankly, Canada is freer & more democratic. I'm no Trudeau fan but his government got their shit together for Covid and have really done an amazing job on the economic recovery. I have some comments about some of the things in the video. Including Olivia Chow in the video when talking about housing affordability with local government policies I don't think is right to inlcude her as she only got elected last year and has to deal with all the decisions and issues from the past Toronto mayor. It's similar to blaming Biden for the economic issues of the US when a lot of the reasons for the downturn economy in the US during his first term was the impact of the economic policies that Trump put in place, it takes time. In terms of the carbon tax, I think its a valid criticism with the compounding issues canadians are facing, but also take into consideration that the provincial governments also have some play with this, as they have the ability to go for the standard carbon tax or implement a cap and trade. A lot of conservative governments like to complain about the federal government about this, but they are also to blame for some of the lack of affordability for political points. As well for the banking fees, we do have a smaller selection of banks, but there are some options that Canadians can have that do not include fees (Simplii, Tangerine). Everything else in the video I agree on, I also think personally that all political parties need a shake up in leadership.

This video is full of bullshit. Like no human being is perfect, no country either. The actors exaggerated a lot. I agree Canada has problems but if you are counting problems then weigh it properly. Everything depends on person to person. Can’t apply same equation everywhere. If someone is earning good in India then why do you want to try any other country ?. We must accept the fact that our country India has the highest unemployment rate with a huge population. Can’t expect modi or yogi to fix the problems. Hi Febby, stumbled upon your video and wanted to know your experience in Canada. As someone who was born in Canada and left, I wanted to know about some current sentiment, especially by younger people. I think you had some interesting information. I'm actually sad to hear that crime and homelessness has gotten even worse, especially in places like you mentioned, DTES. One thing I want to share with you about the housing issue. Canada acts like a Federation. Meaning that a lot of decision making is delegated to the provincial and municipal level. Yes, Canada has goals for immigration. That's a super valid goal because every developed country is going through declining birth rates. Canada wants to lessen the damage that will be felt by so many other countries like Italy, Germany, China, Japan, etc. The issue with this federated government is like you said, a disconnect between goals and readiness. However, I really feel this will never be accomplishable because of all the lobbying that occurs at the municipal level that the Federal and even Provincial level government cannot control. Yes, there may be shortages in labour to do development, but even then, I really think that lobbying and corruption is keeping adequate supply from being built. From the homeowners and the perspective of the wealthy property owners, they want to keep the valuation of housing high by keeping supply low. Why else is the municipal government keeping such archaic zoning laws? From what I could find, there has been some talk about changing this (https://bc.ctvnews.ca/b-c-to-table-housing-law-targeting-outdated-zoning-rules-1.6627260) but I struggle to see anything really being done. That's probably because of lobbying. The immigration laws set by the government had too many loopholes and flaws ultimately. I don't think we are getting enough productive immigrants. Actually, the opposite seems to occur a lot. The wealthy from the countries I mentioned are abusing the immigration policies in Canada to transfer and preserve their wealth in Canada. I think it has hid in plain sight for a long time, and people have started talked about it in the last 5-10 years because of the struggles of housing affordability from the middle class. What about the immigrants that really want to start a life in Canada and find opportunities like you said? The housing is too expensive for them to do that. Really chicken and egg problem like you mentioned. And this issue can't readily be fixed with the way Canadian government operates. Look forward to hearing your thoughts. I’m in my mid 20s, lots of married friends, none will entertain the idea of kids.\n\nWhat I would prioritize changing:\nA more thorough immigration process that does not favour any country over another. And spread the people out to the smaller communities that need workers instead of turning Toronto into whatever it is. An end to the corporate alliance price fixing on things like insurance, cell phones, and air travel. Reduced taxes for your first property, but additional if you own several (a system similar to what Norway does). Reduced foreign ownership in our home real estate market (home should be for families, and not financial assets for international businesses).\n\nAnd like the video said some more darn infrastructure. In my childhood, I saw entire neighbourhoods being built in - timely fashions. Now it’s rare to see a single home under construction in my home city. Some smaller Canadian towns I know even lack potable water.\n\nWith the market so bad no one wants to build or buy which is just amplifying the issue.\n\nAnd no carbon tax. I apologize for getting political, but the last 10 years the federal government seems to be more concerned with values and foreign intervention than fiscally responsible decisions. After living in Brampton now for like 3 years, you can feel the change. Millions of low skill immigrants is just not an option.\n\nI have a high skill field and will probably move to the US for work in a few years because of the cost of living, housing, immigration crisis. I would like to bring your attention to the unjust practices going on in Australia. They have recently made an amendment to the Temporary visa laws that bars students above 35 years of age from getting a TR if they are pursuing masters by coursework degree. It was not so earlier and just like that changed the law and students like me are left in limbo. I have completed 1 year of my MBA and now I have no where to go. I have lakhs of education loan on my head. One of my friend is moving back to India after 1 semester and she has spent till date around 30 lakh rupees. So please make a video on this topic and highlight to the world how these countries play with international students.

A lot of points you have covered like housing , healthcare, student GIC is correct.\nSome of the things are not completely understood, as you are not here .\nMedical system had dental and eye care included but as they increased the immigrant population they did not keep up with services( am talking abt this change which happened in 1990s) .\nHousing is a result of the present govt policies. 2016- you could buy a house for 300k same which is over 1.1-1.3 million right now.\nThey got a lot of indian students here. \nNot blaming any, they are here for a future and they have spent money to be here but i have seen a lot of things happening which were not here before.\nOur people comming here need to understand that we will have to mix and take up some habbits from here. I agree with most of the information in this video. I lived in Canada from 2015-2021. When i used to attend college, parking lot always smelled like weed. People were always lined up at the “recreation drugstore” even in excruciating cold. Also, the job market is bad, most of the employers are racist. Permanent residency is very hard to get. Free health care is actually not free. It is deducted from your every single pay checks. If you had any emergencies, be ready to wait for more than 10+ hours; sometimes more than that. I remember when back in 2015, prime minister justin, got more than 5 thousand Syrian refugees, and people were complaining that they are currently facing job shortages, housing issues and many other things but their needs were completely ignored. I recently visited Canada, and it’s getting worse now, lots of traffic, crime and homeless people. I would still recommend if you want to go and get educated because the education system is good. But if your goal is only for settlement then i would suggest to apply for permanent residence first.

I usually like videos from this channel. But i disagree with this analysis. I believe any country can't be either good or bad. Instead of blaming other countries, first fix issues in your home country. India should devoid universities of caste , creed, etc, and only on the basis of merits. Improve the infrastructure of metropolitan cities in india. Mumbai can't be even compared to Toronto. This election has shown that people in India don't have a vision. They almost booed Modis policies. The likes of Amrit pal singh , Mahua Moitra came into power again. So why to blame others !

Some of the data shared is incorrect. For example you dont need 190k salary for mortgage. Even someone with an average income of 60k can own a home. Housing crisis is in major cities like Toronto, Vancouver the same like we see super expensive housing in Mumbai for example. \n\nPregnant lady does not have to wait for 30 weeks. That is completely incorrect. \n\nThe drug problem and the images that you share is from Vancouver which you mentioned already but that is not the case you see in Ontario, Alberta or any other province. Its like how Punjab has drug problem but it doesnt mean that Gujarat is the same when it comes to drugs. \n\nThe protests currently happening around deportation is also due to the fact that so many students from India were scammed by an Indian agent who sent them to Canada on fake admission letters. Those students were not enrolled in any colleges and came to Canada on fake documents. \n\nI agree that Canada is very difficult for immigrants to come and build at this point. This wasnt the case 10 years back. But this is true to only densely populated cities. Everyone wants to go to Toronto and Vancouver so it has made the situation tough in those cities. But there are other provinces and cities that are still easy to settle down and build your life. \n\nCanadian locals being not immigrant friendly is not whole truth. Some % of locals yes they are fed up of too much immigration but do search for videos or news article of Indian students in Brampton fighting and you will get the answer on why some of the Canadian locals are being wary about immigrants now a days. \n\nIt is hard to settle down in Canada yes. i am big fan of your videos but as off i live in Canada since 2022, I am partially agree with you about drug, house rent and medical. \n\nOther than that I’m not agree with your views on loan you can get loan easily in canada.\n\nCanadian government is deporting that students or people who has misconduct the documents or have done some minor crimes or some other issues. \n\nYes there are lots of homeless people in canada but they are homeless because of their own mistakes like drugs and etc not because of the high rent i was a international student and i was paying for my rent. \n\nYes there are so many negative views about canada but most importantly you can earn by your self which is not possible in india.
