In case anyone is wondering why so many Indians are trying to flee Canada here it is. Under Trudeau and the liberal government Canada was basically giving a free pass to anyone who wants to come to Canada through colleges and universities, if you get into a Canadian school, you can get a study permit (which also allows you to work for 20h a week). Additionally after the schooling you are given a guaranteed work permit for the same duration as the schooling (if you went to school 2 years you get a 2 year permit, 4 years you get a 4 year permit, ect.) A Canada and immigration agencies (for some reason) basically advertised this to India as a guaranteed way to get permanent residence in Canada. Canadians hated the massive flood of people coming into Canada (about a million a year at its peak, which for a smaller country like canada is equivalent to 10 million people coming into the USA every year). This is really unpopular with voters of course (in part because of the housing, food, and low skill work shortages it created), and the next Canadian election is this year. So the conservative government has vowed to massivly decrease the number of immigrants coming into Canada and the Liberal government knowing that this can be used against them in the next election is decreasing the amount of PR cards they are given (like a Canadian green card) as well as the people they are letting in in total. Now as the (mostly Indian) immigrants work permits expire and they will soon be kicked out of the country or no longer legally be allowed to work, they are fleeing to NYC to try to take advantage of the sanctuary city (something that does not exist in Canada).

As a Canadian..i'll say this. Our country is a bad shape right now...and the countless 'extra' people, mostly indians, are not helping. We need immigration. I am not against it. But I am against illegal migration and resource sucking. There is no legit vetting process anymore. Countless indians are being given visas that were granted on bogus claims on their documents. Fake education records...fake employement records. Then they get their visa...and don't go 'home' when it expires. Then they have what indians like to call 'anchor babies'....so that their baby has Canadian citizenship and then they hope that pity will be taken and they, the parents, won't be shipped home. They don't assimilate and totally disregard our way of life. It is appauling.

It is shocking that ICE is helpless as these coyotes advertise in the open in a lot of countries!! \nCountries like Ecuador have visa on arrival for any country and so they all fly into those countries who get an income from visa fees. Chinese, Filipinos and indians are using that route. They have to get to the Southern border, it is like getting from NY to LA. So it is expensive. But the coyotes have not closed shop! They know they have California open!!

We literally have 5 million Indians in Ontario alone looking to get into the USA to live and work. They came here to get PR so they dont have to wait 20 years in india to get a work visa. With Canadian PR can get into the states in under 5 years. You guys are in deep trouble, not a single leader in Canada LIBS, CONS, NDP want to decrease immigration from India. There is very little to no checks to whos coming it. Trump and Musk not helping the situation with keeping the visa programs going. Should have Americans working American jobs, no one else.

These are Indians who were on student visas with the only intention was to fast track into entering the country. It was out of control as they were coming in by the hundreds of thousands. While I don't approve of giving low tips or being rude, a problem is we have an over immigration problem here with the same number of Indian immigrants coming here as in the U.S despite 10x less people and tens of thousands of less towns. So it's getting hard for Canadians who were born or grew up here to find jobs and many are upset and some will take it out in inappropriate ways. It's best for government to limit immigration so that Canadians can have these jobs. Sometimes you have to put up with jerks in retail. You can always not work there

while other countries (US, Canada, UK and some European countries) get their visa to India very easily, we Indians have been suffering this visa issues for as long as i can remember.\nTime for our Government to strengthen this visa and maybe treat other countries the same way they treated us.\n\nthats my one rupee opinion ☺

It must also be noted that many people from India are already in those countries. I live in Indiana and the number of people from India has doubled or tripled in the last few years. They do jobs like research and other medical field related things. There's also a large number of Indian students in colleges too. The reality is the newer generation will have to work harder to get the things the last did, because the last generation is still there. Then there's the fact the Indian's here often don't want new Indian's coming over...

As an Indian, I’m embarrassed too with their stubborn behaviour + bad English. Most of them were just to get PR, I myself worked my ass off for more than 3years to get PR. But I wanna love here with Canadian values and diversely not with same old ppl and rules. That’s why we move to different country so plz only allow the one respect Canada and it’s culture ??

How do you expect to get a good paying job with that diploma? Plus almost all these students barely speak any English. So you get automatically cornered to low-paying jobs at restaurants, fast food chains, etc. Working in the Canadian corporate world requires you to have the right skills and a good handle with English, which almost all these diploma graduates lack. I have not seen a single Indian student who graduated from UBC, McGill, McMaster, UVic, UofA, UWaterloo, etc struggle to find a job or get PR, and they almost always land good paying jobs.\n\nCanada has entered a correction phase. In the next 2-3 years, you will see a lot of these diploma students forced to leave the country.

In indian 11/2 & 21'2 apartment 10-15 people up-down sleep, share with many, pee or poo use the toilet outside in the field or jungle, they drink cows' pee. In Canada people use the toilet inside and clean it each weekday, no food is thrown outside, and No clothing is dry or washed inside by hand. so indians can't destroy beautiful condos by doing all. The balcony can't filled with food or fill with bad stuff, balconies are for sitting and flowering. Before moving out apartment should be as clean as taken, The Indian left the apartment dirty, and damages with denied all. They're only busy making money not to clean any apartment, In this situation which landlord will accept them to get rent after suffering all the damages. Indians frequently move out without or not respecting the lease term. They never stayed long. Each year, 2-3 - 6 months they left doing all trouble with landlords. Which landlord will rent the frequent flippers with no good credit or references to the flippers?

The whole world knows the truth about non-assimilating Indian behavior. Either this reporter doesn't know it or she is in perpetual denial. At my son's school during the drop-off rush in the morning, Indian parents would always, I mean literally always, as in everyday, they would stop in the middle of the street so that the wife can help their child get off their car, all while blocking traffic. In doing so, their child will not be late, but making all the other cars' children behind them late. I witness this first hand, everyday. It's like they had an exclusive Indian meeting, all agreeing to do this during the drop-off rush. It's so annoying. If we honk at them for doing this, they would cause a scene and would call us rude and racist. When all they have to do is simply follow traffic rules and regulations so that all parents can smoothly drop off their kids on time.

It’s just playing with people emotions… not providing real information… we all are human beings… we need to appreciate each other… \n\nThese countries have some rules n regulations for human beings to develop equality n equal opportunities. Most of the NRI appreciate that as we haven’t got that in our own country.

The most corrupted students among all other nations and the main culprits are Punjabi and Gujrati speaking students. Strictly avoid canada now. It's a very difficult situation there. No part time or full time jobs. Not for freshers. Everywhere experienced people required and preference given to Citizens then Permanent residences then at last to persons on TR visas. Even getting PR is very difficult now because getting off 1 year Tier 0/1/2/3 working experience is very very difficult. Even indian students on PGWP are not getting tier jobs hence doing odd jobs . AVOID AVOID and don't spoil your time and money .
