I opened a business in Canada with a partner in 1974. By 1985, in spite of having a successful business, I moved to the US in 1985, and have never looked back. Canada was moving in a direction in the 80’s, that I could see was no longer a fit for me. I never believed that Canada would sink as low as it has, but I have to admit, compared to the US, it was becoming far too regulated, and far too Liberal for my liking.\nThe open immigration policy for me, was a complete deal breaker, and its current shift to being a Muslim, East Indian, Chinese, and African country, would not have worked for me, as a Canadian Protestant of English, Irish, and French descent. I know for a fact that the Chinese are extensively involved in the current synthetic drug crisis, and although there are many law abiding Chinese in Canada, they serve to camouflage the Chinese underworld that exists in Canada, as they do in Mexico, that allows them to pipeline these drugs to Canada, which is being destroyed by this crisis. All said, Canada is becoming a crime ridden, drug infested Muslim shithole, where Canadians can look forward to sharing this demise with their Chinese, and East Indian neighbours.

All western countries (except maybe Hungary) have the same problems. My girlfriend and I are planning on moving to the States in the next 2 years. We are both able to get sponsered by American companies, and we do not have any intention on returning. We are both born and raised in Canada, but it feels like the people leading us are throwing their young to the wolves. We will both be in our early 30s by the time we leave, and this country will not see a dime of tax revenue from us during our prime earning years. Canada talks about how great their health care is but when you see the wait times and how they have less doctors not so great . I came to Canada in 2016 worked in IT until I had enough money saved up moved back to India and bought land and built a house just started buying more land and when I had enough moved back to India . Us Indians can be successful anywhere so way not be successful in our country. I came to Germany 7 years ago , speak German fluently and am on the verge of getting the citizenship but I will leave the country soon , why?\n1- extremely ineffective bureaucracy\n2-high taxes ( like you are being punished for not having a kid and earning more money, how dare you?)\n3- low acceptance for innovation and technology ( I swear I had to use and am still using a Fax Machine!! at work, I thought Fax was something that disappeared when I was a kid but it apparently just moved to Germany )\n4- bad weather\n5- even with a C2 Certificate, Germans are not the most friendliest people around ( like some other central and north european countries ) , you immediately feel the difference in attitude when you go to Spain, Italy or more friendly countries\n6- hypocrisy when it comes to immigration policies... like they want the most skilled workers but they dont want to pay them a good salary and even from that salary half is gone without you seeing it. and yet they still seem to wonder where the problem is.... my friend, Money, make them earn more at the end of the month(AFTER tax) and they will stay, yet they do every other measure apart from this :)))

I went to Germany for my Masters at one of their top universities, back then (10 years ago) taken in by their great public image and a personal interest in Germany history and culture. Looking back now having also experienced living in the UK, HK and Sweden thereafter, I can understand why Germany has trouble attracting the top talents, or any ambitious individuals seeking to develop their career overseas.\n\nIt doesn't provide the money.\nIt doesn't provide a dynamic enough market and opportunities.\nIt doesn't provide the same type of diversity and excitement in truly world-class cities like London, HK etc. Don't get me started on food.\nEverything is functional but that seems to be the sole standard to aspire to. \nGermans are not the people whom you can bond easily. Sincere and friendly many are, but the amount of effort needed to even crack beyond that shell is ridiculous. In this respect I think most north europeans are quite cold and distant. But working with Germans you need to also handle their 'honesty', intensity and directness on top of that. The lack of nuance rubs a lot of people in the wrong way. \n\nThe Germans whom I met and spent their formative years overseas are fantastic. Invariably none of them would have thought of moving back.

The USA is going down the same drain. At 72, I do not likely have the time to change country. I did move out of Vermont as it was going full communist. Good luck. Trust in God, and pray for wisdom. I did not go where I was planning to, but God put me in a better location.

We moved from Brampton 7 years ago we felt it was getting dangerous and over way over populated. I have a similar background as I immigrated to Canada when I was 6 years old. I haven't travelled across 50 countries like Alina but I'm well travelled and Canada is still, in my opinion, the best country in the world. Besides the strong passport and political stability Alina mentioned, Canadians also benefit from the great healthcare system, environmental protections, capital markets, educational system, labour standards, etc. This country has afforded me a wonderful career that allowed me to build wealth while giving me substantial financial flexibility and freedoms. Canada is not perfect but I'm so grateful to my parents for moving us here.

Canada is so big. I think you could fined what you want just buy moving to a new location in Canada. \nVery much like the U.S.\nI have traveled millions of miles in my life time. You will find that is all the same for the most part. \nJust pick a location you like when dune traveling and make it yours. YES! it takes work.\n\nWhen I look back on my life. I moved to Australia from Canada over 20 years ago. After the draconian lockdowns and being forced out of my job by j mandates, I've wanted to get the hell out of this country. Since Labor won all state elections and the federal election, things have taken a serious downturn. It's a big clown show. The state government here in Victoria, home of Dictator Dan, has racked up such a colossal debt that there's just no way out of it. They're raising taxes and making up new ones as the go along into the abyss. There's nothing here but a big real estate bubble and when it pops, there will be tent cities all over the place. The government created the problem just like in Canada. They increased the population by 1.6% in ONE SINGLE YEAR with immigration and now there's not enough housing to meet demand. The lockdowns took all my savings and a chunk of my superannuation to just survive, and I was robbed of over a year of earnings by the government. I've been stuck in this massively over-priced hovel for 3 years longer than I had planned and now would be lucky to even be in the top 20 picks for a rental, at twice the price. It's only a matter of time before the job market implodes due to business closures and the all around terrible climate in which to start new business. I want out, but the prospect of returning to Canada is beyond depressing. Everything that drove me out of Canada in the first place is 10x worse now. My other alternative is UK but I don't feel like going to prison for liking memes about Keir Starmer on Facebook, so UK is out of the question. Not to mention that it's economically doomed and has a worse healthcare system than Canada. There are lines around city blocks to get into a GP clinic.

I wish i had the means to move to other country without worrying my finances. Although, i am grateful that i still have a job (but quite a stressful job), I felt that i am stuck in a rat race, and it seemed like the future is bleak.

So agree with you Alina! We came to Canada from Ukraine in 2009, we were around the same age you are now. We came to Saskatchewan, settled happily in Saskatoon and we really liked this city despite harsh winters. Unfortunately, bcos of rising living costs, homelessness, and addictions issues happening in a city right now, had to move to a smaller city in SK in 2021. Realizing, we made the right choice while listening to friends who have to pick up extra shifts and find one more job to afford things they used to afford in the past with no problems. It's all about surviving now, not about living. If I had a choice, I would have stayed in Saskatoon, and wouldn't have moved to a smaller place just to be able to go on vacation. Too bad, you have to choose one or the other now. We are contemplating about our next step as well. It might be one of Eastern European countries, we'll see what the future holds for us. I am in New York and I have been thinking for a while now... but I happen to be a civil servant - this type of job is comfortable, but not re-locatable. So for me this would be even more major. Do they need American civil servants in Vietnam? j/k. But I have looked at your trip to China and might look it over again. Somehow I think you are moving to Europe - not Asia! Ive had ads to move to Canada. And im from Australia. They are solving the first word fertility decline through immigration. I wish they would support people born in the country having children. Im pregnant now and it seems like i missed the golden days when having kids cost less and ill always struggle. Hitting the milestones such as first house, education, and having children cost soooo much more now. So people aren't doing it. And immigrants are needed.

After 8 years I can’t bear anymore it’s getting harder and harder I‘m middle-aged Man, single , highly skilled in field networking Engineer , I consider myself hardworking, results oriented, practical but the accomplishment here moving sooooo slow let me explain: it took me 1 year to get the driving license although I have driving experience for 16 years ! It took me 2 years to eventually find an apartment although my income consider to be above average! More than 18 months for the language! More than 2 years for wife reunion! , …. Etc the bureaucracy is the biggest enemy of this country without finding a real solution it will be worse! Plus other challenges like language, wealth, social life, but for me was the bureaucracy the hardest!!

I moved to Germany 5 years ago presently I have a skilled job offer from last 3 months just waiting for the Immigration Office to change my employer name from 2 months.This is Germany they want you but they don’t help you ! I have a job offer but I am unemployed because of the bureaucracy! No one helps and very slow paced work culture specifically in the government sector plus if you’re a people of colour you are treated like you don’t belong here !

Having captured our attention for more than 10 mins, we become curious to know where she would like to move to ! Everyone needs to be mindful when they leave their country to go inhabit another. Be mindful of their customs and leave your racism and hatred in your old country. People are moving to countries on the continent of Africa and Asian countries and they are bringing their old mindset with them. There is no room for that ignorance. I'm pretty sure more will come but many will leave so on once they understood that their living standards aren't improving. I see lot of people are struggling and moving to Netherlands, Belgium and soon. Even with two income it's hard to survive in any EU countries. The main reason behind all this misery is lack of housing, tax, tax and more taxes. Netherland is also not a good at housing and taxes. European are not work hard becasue it will only result in more taxes and causes more misery. In EU majority of people choose to spent time with family and friends than earning more money. It is cultural difference between EU and rest of the world.\n\nImmigrants come to EU thinking of earning more fortune like Dubai or USA, so that they can send remittance back to home has just become a day dream. In reality these countries take half of your fortune in taxes and in return they give good water, clean air and almost peaceful life.

I started having the idea of moving abroad for a few years now. Being born in the US to Mexican parents, I’m very thankful for living a good life in the states as I’m about to graduate with my masters degree soon. Being 24, I have already traveled to 30 countries since I started going with my father 10 years ago. With where everything is going here in the US, I don’t feel comfortable continuing my life in the states. I haven’t done much research but definitely something for me to look into within the next 5 years. Like you said, it’s not an easy decision to make.

Thank you for sharing your story. There are so many Canadians who share your views and who are equally upset about the state of affairs in Canada, including me and my husband. We have recently started contemplating moving to Serbia (my home country). Compared to Canada, Serbia has very affordable housing, and a much better healthcare system. Moreover, the majority of the population also speaks English and for someone coming from an an English speaking country like Canada, this is a huge bonus. Good luck on your journey and you have made the right decision to move.

I was born and grew up in Mississauga Canada, lived here my entire life. I've seen the defecation of this country in the last 10 years under this liberal extremists Trudeau rule. I see no potential anymore to stay in Canada. Yes I can work but i am paying everything to the government and its not like they are putting money into the community, they spend it on themselves, foreigners, to other countries nothing helps Canadas infrastructure. I just stumbled across this video. This is my first viewing of one of your videos and it was sad and painful to watch. I was born in Canada to immigrant parents. I grew up on a farm in Alberta. Listening to your memories of growing up resinated with me as that was my experience as well. Fast forward to today, my husband and I left Canada in 2022 and are currently in Mexico. We have thought about a return to Canada but the reports really don't give us hope. We will likely move again someday, but Canada isn't high on that list until something changes. I will look forward to seeing where you have chosen. Thank you for the honesty in this view.

I'm very curious where you're moving to! I was living in the UK for a few years, and then Ireland. I moved back home to Canada two years ago. I'm glad I came home, life is getting very difficult there too, and I get to spend more time with my family. I'm actually doing better financially now in Nova Scotia. I feel like it all depends on your personal circumstances. The grass isn't always greener. I wish you all the best abroad! ?
