Hello brothers and sisters I’m seeing a problem here. The interest rate in the late 1970s and early 1980s interest rate was 12-18%. People\nComing now are in MUCH better financial condition then people who came then with nothing. The difference is two main things: many new immigrants don’t have the same drive and motivation that previous immigrants in terms of sacrifices such as not driving a mustang, but they also didn’t just settle for labour jobs, they used their brains and began business along side labour. Second thing is, the immigrant wants to see the result before putting in the work. If after getting out of the horrible conditions of India and coming to Canada, a country loaded with opportunities, you still have difficulties then you need to change your expectations and work ethic to match, if they don’t then don’t complain. Cost of living is not the issue, it is the false expectation that they give themselves. To be quite honest with you it takes most immigrants one generation not 5-10 years, so either start working smarter or wait to have this reflection of what Canada is like until you have lived here for 50 years.

As a Canadian the American system isn't broken. We have so many immigrants coming in from India and Nigeria you can have them. Not only are they disrespectful, but greedy and have no problem throwing trash directly on the ground. They also contribute to wage suppression meaning that they are willing to work for a lower rate of pay. Many Canadian companies will not hire these people given that they don't have North American experience, so therfore will be forced to use food banks and the welfare system.

US immigration system is broken but it's still the best in western world if you are in engineering, mathematics and tech. I studied and worked in US, moved to India for personal reasons. I realized its difficult to adjust back in India, and US will never let me naturalize, so I moved to Canada. But Canada has hardly any jobs of its own, most of people in tech here work for American companies. In US, even an aerospace, biomedical, virology or genetic engineering person can find job in his/her field despite being on job visa, but in Canada its very tough. \nFew weeks back, I met an Uber driver who came to Canada 4+ years back, mechanical/automative engineer and was not able to find a job in his field despite no need for license with advance education and many years of relevant experience. He became Canadian citizen few weeks back, and guess what, he received 2 job offers in US and was moving to US on TN visa. \nI am myself working on something in Canada that is not my specialization. In US, I can get multiple messages from top government contractors for scientist/researcher positions, but I could not work for them as I don't have citizenship. In canada, despite being a PR, I know many experienced people who are forced to drive uber or do survival jobs.

A video by someone who isn't Canadian and it's extremely obvious. Were currently OVERWHELMED by immigrants from India cause there's no limit on how many people can apply from that country. So now we have a glut of Indians who create their own semi-enclaves and do not integrate with the community. \n\nAs well, the U.S. pays better, has more opportunity, the mixture of immigrants is better (less concentrated to one country) and lets not even begin with Canada's completely screwed housing market.

I have a different perspective… as I’ve lived in Canada since I was 2 years old (same with my wife). Elevators didn’t even have doors we had to manually close it lol…\nAnyway… that’s my point of view…\nAlso… way safer in Canada than India… how many rape cases do you hear about in Canada vs India???

Very discouraged podcast for people who have worked hard here , this is just a view point from one perspective, think about that how people who are like earning minimum wage in canada are not living a deprived life as more of the population live in india , we all come from a good background in india , but everyone desrves a good life that is not avaible in india , the people from remote villages in india , can stand up to the level of people working in Multinationals in india basically there is huge gap status in india which leads to so many problems overall , very very negative perspective of these ladies . Forget parents, even many immigrants are unhappy in Canada. Every time I run into an Indian who has studied or lived in US he is frustrated. 2 people in my team received their Canadian citizenship and have started trying for positions in US. 3 white Canadians in our company moved to US in last 2 year itself.\nCanada is not a great country from parents. It's cold, white and depressing throughout. Many parents can stay for relatively longer in California or Texas where there is vibrant community and weather is very much like India. I lived for 10 years of life in snow before moving to Canada - Massachusetts, North Carolina and Virginia. I just 2 winters, I feel depressed in Canada as it's white for 4 to 5 months.

Do yourself a favour and stay in the US. Trust me, you will regret picking Canada. Our shelter costs here are absurd and we have a government that flirts with communism. They are running towards a different kind of poverty here. Some of the places they are running from (mexico), economically have potentially brighter futures than here. The kids might be kicking the parents for this when they get older and see the places where they came from, have better standards of living than the place they fled too. India included, they have the potential to become an economic power house. We hardly produce anything here, and our government chokes off our natural resource exports. We have too big of government, too many regulations, too many taxes. Who would do business in Canada? Name a Canadian company other than shopify. Blackberry... Oh wait its dead. Let’s use migrants and help them out, immigrants can do all the labor-intensive and poop work so our healthcare workers can focus more on the health of the patients. This will reduce hospital bills since labor is a major cost to any business. We will also all receive better care at the hospital. \n \nUS companies and foreign companies are building factories in India or in Mexico when the same workers are at our doors. Let's build them here in the USA and we English speakers will have to manage them unfortunately since that’s the language of the Country. If you speak Spanish and English, you are going to have many jobs. \nEverything important should be made in America with all these workers. We can all have our own factories and business and exploit cheap labor flocking to our Great Country. We must use this to our advantage while it lasts. \nCheap labor we can Build houses that are affordable. Fix all the infrastructure we have been crying about. \n \n5. If War we're ready! \nIf we ever have another World War first one to go are minorities and poor people so, not only does it provide us with a bigger army, but you might not be first to get drafted. I am pretty sure those people never have been to a country like Bangladesh, average part of India. Otherwise, they wouldn’t even imagine to write down such a bad words about their country. Educated and professional Canadians are desperately trying to move to the US, including my wife, myself, my direct manager and two of my coworkers, but even with TN visa it is tough. Taxes are really high here, rent is expensive, good luck finding a daycare, we are working poor people here, job market is small and very competitive since Canada brings many highly educated professionals from everywhere (India, Pakistan, China, etc) it is hard to build a descent career, and most of all Canada has long and dark winters. I pray every day to have a possibility to move to the US, save some money, maybe buy a house with a 3-4 bedroom (which will never ever happens in the city where I live in Canada).

America is still probably the best place in the world to make money even without an education n why so many people want to go - unfortunately due to woke culture even the nicest places in Europe (n Canada) are no longer safe which is why I'll never leave Texas n give up my guns - when I get old n retire I'll do so in a holy place in India however

Absolutely right, all the points are true. One thing really bad is this so called free health care. I waited 3 months to see a doctor for my prostrate infection. An ear infection for soo many weeks to see a specialist. At last i went to India, it took 4 hours, I finished consultation, related tests, diagnosis and treatment. State of the art hospital. I paid a fees . My pain is not more important than money. Here canada even if you have money you have no choice \nIn short why people have to go through all this sacrifice to enjoy this lifeless frozen land, and lately Canadians became the victim of a Government lead by an idiot, called TREUDO, IDIOT TRUDEAU

Also, Canada needs to do better about making sure there's more diversity in its numbers. Also, Canada needs to ensure colleges don't charge so much more. Afterall, we who eventually get PR will be paying taxes too (which is the rationale given for why local students pay less).
