The fact that Tyler is surprised at how many people bring up school shootings as a reason to stay away from the US is a scary indication of how much this type of violence has become normalized. I'm Canadian and throughout my professional life I've spent time working in the US. In fairness, I've met some truly great people. Also in fairness, religion seeps into US politics in ways that it never does in Canada and never in a good way. Christian fundamentalism is a scary reality of US life intent as it is on heaping hate on sexual minorities and taking away rights wherever they are allowed to. An additional point, but this one is only an irritant, is how ignorant so many Americans are about the world. At any rate, I'm retired and live with advanced kidney disease and a pacemaker. For those reasons alone I couldn't afford to live in the US. Thankfully, my country takes good care of me and my provincial government (Québec) even covers most of the cost of my expensive prescription drugs.

Jobs are low wage and part time, rents are insanely high, prices on everything are going up, if you are homeless you will likely die in the cold, mass evictions are creating thousands more homeless folks, if you can't handle it they'll offer you assisted suicide.\n\nMost homeless people receive disability checks but they can't afford rent.\nI've worked with many elderly people who chose assisted suicide because they couldn't afford to live anymore.\n\nYou can thank neo liberalism in Reaganomics for this mess

Thanks so much for your very informative video, please help me clarify the issues below: you said no IELTS test or ECA is needed, however, the NBCWP guide, Nov. 2022, page 22, it's stated that these documents are required. Please help me resolve these. Thank you for your great work. See you in Canada.

India is in a much better situation in this recession.. even better than the US and Canada. I have a good job here.. Enjoy my weekends with great food from swiggy zomato and beer?. You get better salary packages in India. Cities like Pune, Bengaluru, Gurgaon, Ahmedabad, Navi Mumbai are great to live in and earn. I work from home...nice work life balance, enjoy my vacations in Goa... Go for a vacation every 4 months. Thoughts came in to shift to Canada... but decided not to go. Why struggle so much abroad. Pajji has said the truth...so relatelable! Thanks for making this eulye opening video for people deciding to come to Canada.

As a 25 year old woman living in one of the most expensive cities in Canada, i thankfully have affordable rent and a job with good work life balance and zero debts, but I find saving and getting into the housing market a task more difficult than climbing Mount Everest. If I could get a house my risking my life climbing that death hill, I would, cause it’s much easier than being in a 90 year mortgage which what the government seems to think is a ‘solution’ I’m just about ready to move to the US, where my chances are better ?

I migrated to Canada in 2000 and moved in to United States after 3 years. Employment discrimination had pushed me out big time. Its funny that all employers were asking Canadian experience during job interview for a just landed immigrant. That’s big bull shit of stupid canadian employer. I’m a civil engineer from the Philippines and can not swallow the pride of being an order picker from canadian tire distribution center in toronto. I abandoned immigrant status, moved in to Texas, USA and currently working as project manager in the oil and gas sector. Thanks America for fulfilling my american dream together with my family. Nk plan to look back to Canada.

Hey now is you run past the cops you can become one\n\nStop having us build free housing\nThey quadrupled the cost of everything to make us their slaves\n\nWe lost our houses yet make too much to qualify, so we build Mexicans not here yet free housing and you give them free food of course they will come and you will collapse this economy. Weare now living multiple families to a house while they written for cash, live in free housing, and then get a house during the collapse and gain 2 investment properties. We have nothing brave they bought our govt with coke, took event from us and gave it to them. We have nothing now and can't even keep 40 hrs on a lot of checks\n\nIf you flooded their country they would shoot you\n\nThey have 17-18 kids even and send then to suffocate in the back of food trucks or down in the Rio, all to collapse the US\n\nYou build a wall with 3 for gaps in between some of the sections\n\nThe Azteca and Mayan were coming up here to capture the American imams for slavery and sacrificing them before eating them, they fought each other\n\nCould save your country and theirs\n\nThis was allowed to happen to Germany and everyone got f'd over\n\nA peaceful fentynal takehome euthana drink with a micro serial number available at every pharmacy and 45-65 percent of the quirks would say thanks, and then there room for everyone, instead the cartel contaminated it with xyaxaline so their flesh would rot and they works need amputations. Don't try to kill yourselves now

My husband, an Australian citizen, and Candian PR is preparing to apply for Canadian citizenship, whereas I hold Canadian citizenship. Having spent four years in Canada, my husband and I both agree, based on his experiences here and my observations while visiting Australia, that the quality of life in Canada cannot match that of Australia. Australia offers superior work-life balance and higher pay grades. Our intention is to eventually return to Australia for the better opportunities it provides. I am thankful that our future children can have dual citizenship benefits.

Thanks for pointing out how hard and time consuming it is for people to get citizenship in the UK. I’ve seen a lot of YouTubers making it sound easy and some have said it can take 5 years on the work visa which is wrong. The Uk work visa gives you 5 years then you have to apply for ILR and wait for another 1 year before you can apply for citizenship. Add all of that up and you’re clocking nearly 7 years. I know someone who got their Canadian passport in 4 years ?

No, one of the things that I love about our Canada is\nfor the most part we treat our police with respect and\nthey for the most do the same, they are just people\nwith a different job to do and we are not scared of them.\nWe love you America you are a big brother to us but we\njust do not want to live in the same house as you, one\nof the reasons for that is you have too many guns in\nthe gun cabinet (case). There are so many different\n people of different nations getting along with each other\nand loving Canada its really something to see, words cannot\nexpress how much I love our great country of Canada.\nOh, and we have 3 different serious political parties instead\nof 2, so the politicians know they can be replaced in 2 seconds\nflat if they try to be an idiot, we the people put them in office\nnot some college or other nonsense across the country somewhere,\nbecause it's not their country, it's our country, and it's working pretty\npretty dam well thank you. (you know I had to say please or thankyou somewhere).

After comparing the following from country to country: Women's reproductive rights. LGBTQ acceptance. Health Care. Gun violence. Overt racism. Criminal misconduct of politicians. Cleanliness of cities. Infrastructure degradation. To name a few. I have to admit Canada is the better choice. We (Canada) are not perfect and have to still work on making our country better for all who live in Canada. I am a 72 year old male and to this day I thank my lucky stars that both sets of my grandparents immigrated to Canada and not the USA. I also know that I am very fortunate to have lived my entire life here in Canada. I have travelled to many places outside of Canada and have always been well received by the people of those countries and appreciate the good reputation we (Canadians) have around the world.

Although, I love here in BC Canada, but good to speak out truth! thank you for your true and reliable facts sharing. I agree every country has issues and here everything is slowly improving too, but it is frustrating to watch such problems that are solved in most least developed countries a decade ago. You can see someone sobbing from pain and yet to wait a week for doctor (feels to me meeting butchers :)). You can see many surgent and talented Intern/Indian doctor, experts and engineers doing labor work, are not they even capable for general basic services?! Solutions and resources are a lot but no body pick them up! as if it is a concession force not to. Say more about diversity but less inclusion of Asians.

Tyler, thanks for your entertaining and fun videos. My grandfather is a dual citizen but has never renewed his passport or anything and when asked to do so, he outright refuses. He says he hated living there. We live in the Vancouver area of Canada right now. My wife is finishing her registered nursing degree and we are considering moving to washington state, within an hour or so of the Canadian border on temporary work visas (TN1) for a few years. The main reason is the cost of living differences, mostly in housing but a lot of things are cheaper down there too. For example though, the costs of rent or to buy a house in the Vancouver area is insane - 1.5 million is generally a starting point. The cost of a detached house south of the border between Bellingham and Blaine starts around $400,000 ($500,000 CDN). If renting, it's crazy cheaper than here. \n\nThe area we are considering going to is very close to the canadian border, I've never heard of major violence problems in the area. Like one of the other comments you read, we're basically considering moving there to take advantage of a lower cost of living and higher salaries for a bit to try to get ahead. Living in the Vancouver area is such an absolute DRAIN on our finances that it is intolerable. If we didn't move to the US, we'd have to find another place in Canada to go to, but we do like the climate on the coast here. I'd actually just keep commuting to Canada daily to work in Canada since it's so close to the border, and writing the bar exam to be able to practice law in any US state except California, Massachusets, or New York is a pain in the backside to even be able to write it, let alone prepare for it. Just easier for me to keep working here unless we decided to try to make a permanent move somewhere further from the border.\n\nIf we decided to change our minds and apply to stay in the US in the future, there are a lot of the other considerations that other people have raised on top of my own ability to continue as a lawyer. Gun violence in the US is crazy, extreme polarized political views and increasing intolerance against diversity of race, culture, religion, (and while it doesnt affect us directly, it bothers us how LGBTQ people are increasingly targeted with backwards policies and by certain segments of the public), the health care system in canada has it's problems but it's also got it's strong points. We'll never go bankrupt because of a health care issue since we can move back to Canada IF it's ever a problem. Thankfully we are all pretty healthy so it shouldn't be much of a problem for a while at least. And we wouldn't even move there at all if her employment as a nurse doesn't offer health care and better pay than she can obtain here. \n\nOur kids will probably attend post-secondary (college/university) in Canada as dual citizens unless they get a scholarship to a top US school. The costs of post-secondary in Canada appears to be much cheaper than in the US and we have some good colleges/universities that consistently rank high globally.

I've only just started this one but I've got to comment.\nUSA if you have health insurance, you still have co-pays. Even for things like an ED visits. And you pay, either through work or on your own, monthly for that insurance.\nIn Canada there is no co-pay, full stop (at least not in my province) and no monthly fee.\nI work for a call center and the client is an American health insurance company, so I've seen the invoices that hospitals send to the insurance. I've seen the co-pays the patients have to pay with insurance covering the rest.\nI'll take the wait for none critical care, thank you. Critical issues don't have that wait time, that's what triage is for.

This is the realest thing i have watched as regards this topic of migration. Most people just wanna relocate without putting in the work or doing research. The agent is always gonna sell what they selling because at the end they all after what they want from you. Thanks brother for this even though many might not like it.

Canadians are taxed 53% before VAT's 13%(adds to 66%) + real estate tax(you pay on top of taxes) + environmental tax + taxes on Gas, plus Taxes on food = 85% TAXES all together!!!\nBasically working for the privilege of paying the bills, with the only prospect of ending up in old age on the streets amongst drug addicts, with no health care..!!. Thank you Justin Trudeau.. it's justinflation..!!!!!!!

Hi Kemi, thank you for this info. Well detailed. I just calculated my score using the CRS stimulator and it's 500. So I want more clarity on this, tho I'm yet to be married, but we ( Future hubby and I) planned on getting legally hitched before we enter the pool, so I calculated the score based on his age and working experience. For the NOC, does it have to be in a particular field or general working experience. He was once a teacher ( about 4 years or more experience and now he as switched I to Telecommunications. He has 2 and half yrs of experience in the telecomms field, and also do I need to evaluate my cert( ond and hnd) or he can evaluate only his bsc when we both write IELTS to give more score. Sorry for this epistle. Have a great day

Good content. Thanks for the hard work. I think, while depends on the university a bit, international tuition rates are cheapest in Newfoundland, not Quebec.
