I do hope that Canada, EU and Britain will work together, there is no reason Britain and EU cannot replace America as the main trade partners and I have seen plenty of other videos about other asian countries indicating interest in Canada's trade.\n\nBut this is much more than just tariffs, Trump has really gone off the deepend siding with Russia and undermining Ukraine, even undermining the sanctions, I wouldn't be surprised if he is already trading with Russia, using whatever bizarre pretext he chooses.\n\nThese should already be red flags to Canada, there is a long standing relationship with the UK and Ukraine, but Canada is only reacting on the tariffs, which detracts from what other action they might have taken.\n\nThe imposition of these tariffs should be the straw that breaks the camels back, I hope that if America repeals these tariffs that Canada will still diversify so that they don't ever end up in this situation again.

Yes....10 more States that is the helpful way forward for the United States to have a very dominant conservative thinking population of United States Congress Political Leaders, resulting in a long term more stable United States Congress representing 60 United States, thinking more conservative, thinking more logical, thinking more common sense thoughts, thinking more capitalist job creation thoughts, thinking more tax cut thoughts, are just some of the benefits of having 60 United States of America States on  display, and functioning efficiently going forward for all the World’s Countries to marvel at.

My problem with the doom and gloom is people love to blame all our problem on the current PM and “wokeness”. I am not saying JT and the Liberals don’t deserve any criticism they do but all the time it’s for all the wrong reasons. Public Housing is a provincial issue, Healthcare is a provincial issue zoning is a municipal issue. However all of these issues are made worse by lack of public housing funding (looking at you Doug Ford) and nimbyism at the municipal level (looking at you Rob Ford and almost every mayor large Canadian cites have had). My parents hate JT now because property prices came down slightly but they loved him during Covid when prices went through the roof. When the liberals implemented the mortgage stress test they hated him and voted conservative in 2019 because Andrew Scheer went on the news and said he will get rid of it. When the liberals got rid of the stress test on first time homebuyers they loved the liberals again. They are property developers so they don’t mind paving over the Agricultural land reserve but god forbid a fourplex is built in our neighborhood. However I am not too cynical I have seen progress by the current government AFTER THEY WHERE -20pts in the polls. For 2 decades Canadian cities have had a condo building boom (for non-North Americans, a condo(minium) is a building built by developers with the intent of selling off the apartments individually, instead of the whole building being one large rental property - that's a rental building) with the rather strange peculiarity that the bast majority of those condos are small - studios, one bedroom and one bedroom + den (in North American real estate linguo, a den is a small room without a window). There are some two bedroom apartments, and three+ bedroom apartments are very rare. One of the reasons for this is a general mindset that apartments are for singles, young childless couples and retired empty-nesters, while families are supposed to live in a house of their own. Another reason is that some archaic building codes restrict the type of apartments developers can fit in a building. The result of this is that in a country which certainly does not lack space, there are now tons of small apartments (the demand for which has been going down in many areas), but it's too expensive to afford a larger space to buy (whether a house or one of those rare large apartments) once you want to start a family.

A housing deficit serves only the investors, it's time that the state produces housing at a reasonable price. Might be wishful thinking, but we need ways to keep housing affordable.

The reason real estate prices have gone 300% but incomes only 100% is because of low interest rates. If you factor in carrying costs, the numbers aren't as extreme.
