This woman is right. We need people who are willing to sacrifice their time and their old citizenship to become Americans. She sacrificed a great deal to become a true American citizen. I do not want to be a citizen of another country although I have spent time as a guest worker LEGALLYin other countries. I was not allowed to take jobs in those countries (Japan and Germany) that native workers had the right to take. I was not given benefits or a right to vote. I had a passport which I was required to carry at all times because as a foreign worker I could be stopped and questioned about my legal status. My passport showed my working status in country with the appropriate stamp. I accepted these restrictions as part of my working conditions. I wanted to keep my own citizenship as an American although I could have worked to obtain the fluency level required and the citizenship understanding of law and legal procedures to become a citizen. It would have taken time and waiting for an application to clear. That is what it would have required but I wanted to be an American. I did not renounce my citizenship lightly…nor should anyone without work and thoughtful consideration of what it is to BE a member of that country.

It’s all a corporate governmental banking and human trafficking scam. Every person the government brings in, the government can borrow from the bank in the form of a bond! Once your visa expires, then you have to leave. And the company that brokered you to get you here requires a fee, plus they get a fee from the government as well. And if you have any children during your 5 years, the government tells you that you have to register them, so the government can create another bond, so they can borrow more money from the bank! The government gives you a birth certificate, but they own your children until you go to a court of law to get a certificate of custody! Because if you decide to leave after getting your landed status, the government may not allow you to take your children with you! Look up family court and custody law, once you get here, the government manages you on behalf of those who own you! You need to look it up for yourselves and understand that any western country that you goto is ruled by Rome. And if you came from a country that was once a colony of the British empire, you will get here a little easier, it’s a simple transfer because they have your record on file in the city of London. the main concept of any foreign govt giving permanent residency is whether you fulfil the need for them, so this is good for people who have some skills and can positively contribute but anyone who just wants to go for the sake of going there is not going to get anything , they better study and then return .. this is nothing different from UK, its very hard to get Tier 2 visa in UK unless your job is in shortage or in the occupation list but the difference is that Canada has been very lenient in the past allowing people clearing just 10 years of schooling also getting student visas, this has not happened in UK as people come to study bachelor's or master when they have completed full 12+ years of schooling in their home country.. may be it was needed then in Canada but now its not the same case..so if govt is taking this step its first in the interest of the local people including the ones who have gained citizenship with proper procedure..

I also came to Canada in 2006 as an immigrant with my 2 bags and started my new life with empty handed which almost all Indians had started on their time. Yes it’s very hard to adopt other cultures 100% for first generation. But have you think how this new immigrants have their own house and good jobs or business. Why their kids achieved higher education without any loan because their parents worked 7 days without looking around so called culture. They believe in work hard and focus on their family and kids and in extra time visit temple or Gurudwara just to keep live their believes. Do you know how many places where you find 3 times free hot food for everyone in Brampton at Gurudwara and Temple without looking at his originality. \nDon’t think the immigrants are coming here are poor in their country or helpless like refugees. Most of are millionaires in India but in Indian culture the stupid thoughts is to earn for next 7 generations so because of that greediness they work here 7 days and that’s why they are not homeless. Usually, international students have to pay most of this money before applying for the study visa. \n\n\n2. These colleges employ Canadians for their day to day operations. From cleaning, maintainance, administration to teaching, each college operates with approx 20-30million budget. So, more students lead to more employment for Canadians who further pay taxes.\n\n\n3. All students start work straightaway, pay taxes, and do not qualify for social security. They do not qualify for any student loans by Canadian govt or banks. So, they generate revenue for Canada through their work and taxes. The thing that govt LOVES.\n\n\n4. These students become new consumers and their expenditure generate revenues for local businesses.\n\n\n5. Most Colleges would not survive without international students. Which is good in the sense that only quality colleges will survive and other hanky panky colleges would shut down. However, such closures will lead to job losses, bankruptcy when the colleges won't be able to afford their expenses.\n\n\nSo, considering these factors it will be an industry collapse. Govt needs to control immigration. They need to introduce intelligent policies. The steps that current govt is currently taking are politically motivated not rational.

Only qualified people get employment in Canada. Young Canadians do not like to do low-paying jobs, so immigrants do more of those jobs and young Canadians do not have as much skills as immigrants have for high-paying jobs. Immigrants have no option to get success without hard work and skills. Therefore, immigrants work harder to get skills and success than the privileged native Canadian youth. So it would not be right to say that immigrants are taking away their jobs.

That old lady is absolutely and outright lying. First off, she stood in lines for hour or days to get her green card? That means she came at a time when immigration was much easier and wanted, to increase gdp and to do the jobs normal Americans didn’t want to. Now, immigration takes forever, many years in fact, because the older republican white generation figured out that they yet again the minority, which has never actually changed. But republicans now use the immigration card because it’s literally their only option, why do you think Trump stopped the bill. He would be losing so much support. Also, for that old Mexican lady to say those things about her own family, tells me, she is not someone who cares for others or may even care at all. She became a racist just like the republicans and her family should be ashamed of her. Lastly, different times of immigration, this time around, those leaving other countries are trying to save their families lives, having to deal with authoritarian dictators, drug cartels and corrupt governments. She may have had some of that, but I doubt it, she just wanted to move here and make a better life for herself, screw her loved ones. She is an abomination and one of the reasons this country has lost itself, if a Mexican immigrant cannot feel sympathy or empathy for those people in a very similar situation than that person has truly been corrupted by the republicans “all about me” mantra.

How many part-time jobs do they expect these people to work to pay for rent? Finding a full-time job is almost impossible. Coming to Canada exspecting the country to look after them? The companies take hours away from their employees and create another part-time position, then gets a bonus from the government as part of the new employee wages are paid. Same hours for the company but paying less wages and keeping the profits. Who is does this benefit? Not the workers that then need another part-time job to feed their kids. Filling up schools with people who do not met the education requirements with bogus paperwork. Who are then forced to attend a strip mall schools. Are their diplomas even valid? No proper place to live and using foodbanks. Anyone with this paperwork should be refused at airport not supported. Most are coming from counties that have schools. Because really would you want them managing your money, running the country or are they going to work at Tim Hortons? No wait their fellow countrymen will then use them in scams. Wake up they are making a cast system here.
