I worked in a college that admits international students. Many of them came here with fradulent documents and cannot speak English trying every possible way to cheat and exploit any system. I am an economic immigrant and I feel betrayed.

The house next door to me is a small 1960 2 bedroom 1 bathroom . There is at least 20 punjabs living there. The place stinks garbage everywhere. Cars are coming and going. No one speaks english and why are they wearing a big knife. Those are illegal in Canada. I want them kicked out of Canada now. I know Canadians who are pissed off and it's going to get ugly from what I'm hearing.

You are not victims of fraud stop lying most of you completed fraud by not even passing the English test in your own country because you can’t speak English properly. Secondly, you came here as a student stop expecting that you were automatically become PR most of you don’t even go to school and you work over 20 hours and no Canadian students born and raised here can find jobs because of you, so stop your pretence and go back home. Before you call me a racist I am Punjabi and my family came in here the correct way we didn’t cheat or scam and we worked hard right way stop lying and scamming and protesting when things don’t go your way.

As a 56-year-old Punjabi woman born and raised here and absolutely disgusted in their behaviour and entitlement. We came the right way you guys want to cheat and then most of you can’t even speak English properly so I question did you actually pass the exams. Most of you don’t study don’t go to class expect to pass, even though can barely speak English. You don’t assimilate you make a mockery in downtown Vancouver and white rock. It is such an embarrassment. Study and go home you are owed. Nothing do it the right way stop cheating

They got here then began demonstrating assaulting locals committing crimes. If and we all see this. If a pakistani indian or whatever. Qapplird to govt to bring in their brrtheron and familymembers and then refused to hire canadians cause they hirrd only their nationality members. And every canadian who goes to eat knows this the wait staff cant speak english but we are.not allowed to complaon so we dont go to their establishments and they wonder why they go broke. Some sell businesses to fsmily. Goback to home country. Refuse to pay severence or anything else. Then wonder why we dislike them. Also their businesses are filthy. Wasrooms.putrid and we know they dont have any intention of changing so we eat at home. Mcdonalds kfc etc wonder why they are being boycotted. We just told u why. My parents were immigrants, but they came here when there was a points system and immigration was based on merit and those that respected Canadian culture. Immigration is important but we should be bringing them in based on merit and can speak English fluently and have allegiance to the Canadian flag only and leave their home countries BS back at home.

How come most immigrants, Indian or not, barely speak any English? The vast majority aren't refugees, nothing prevents them from taking their time and learning the language before coming here.

There are a number of factors at play here. Ignorance + misleading people + sense of entitlement. Big jumble and it is really bad it has come to this point. Genuine question: most of these 'students' do not speak proper english. How did they clear express entry? As I understand there is a min CLB 7 required across the board in all 4 English proficiencies?

The were never guaranteed permanent residency so they have no right to protest. It doesn't make sense why they even teach English, no one speaks it

I am an immigrant essentially - finally got my PR after 3 years in 2012 (on a skilled worker application - IT Systems Manager), 10k in lawyers fees - I took exams to prove I can write read and speak English - I maintained a decent level of fitness to pass my medical (cost more money in gym memberships) (I was born and bred in the UK and privately educated there) I bought a house before I was a PR - I had to jump through hoops and I played by the rules to get my PR (I am now a citizen) - I do not understand how these people think that they can just demand what I had to work so very hard to achieve...?

To set an absolute example.Get started on these particular people immedietly. Pack up n GO! We owe you nothing. Now git, your welcome to re-apply when your HOME! FOLLOW THE RULES! Don't falsify your intent or exploit our system. Learn from your mistakes. Learn English or French it's our language. Speak it in public. Your entitled behavior is pissing us off. P.s. Stop defacating on our beaches. Stop leaving soda bottles of urine everywhere.The only misunderstanding is some immigrant people thinking they have a say. You are not a Canadian. Canadian multiculturalism has changed. It used to be you came here and became a Canadian... While still bringing in bits from where you came from. Now it's they come here and complain about Canada while bringing their whole package of where they came from for us to accept. I'm tierd of people assuming white Canadians are racist for feeling uncomfortable when their cities are being over populated with non English speaking people (and by the way... It's not just white Canadians feeling uncomfortable... So our media and politicians needs to stop making this a race war). When we allow this many of one group to come in and live together.. They have no insentive to integrate. Immigration 60 years ago was Europeans coming in... I remember my grandmother talking about how the Italians and Portuguese and Germans were coming over in large numbers and it was a shock to the system... But they at least learned the language and integrated. Why are we condeming Canadians for not wanting cultures today from coming here and putting their foreign culture above Canadian culture. I'm so sick of it. If you want to live in the way you did before you came here... The don't come here

The politicians from Canada and India don't care if everyone lives in poverty. And getting Canadian citizenship will not solve all your families' problems. Once Canada goes broke there will be no welfare, EI, pensions, free housing, or healthcare so you're better off staying in India where at least you know the language, laws, religion and culture. No point coming to Canada or other any Western countries when you can't speak and read in English, either.\nBy the way, you're better off training to be a plumber, a mechanic, a nurse etc than getting a liberal arts degree. If you're an international student and you can't afford to rent for example in Vancouver and Toronto than don't come here. It's no secret some international students turn to prostitution, sell drugs and go to food banks in order to survive. Don't come to Canada assuming study permits automatically means you will get Canadian citizenship.

This is very true. Most no frills are now owned by Indians and they only hire people from India that don’t speak any English. Immigrants used to come to Canada and learn English right away but looks like Canadians will have to learn Punjabi first WTF

Cant explain if you cant even speak the language your being asked to explain in.. i work with 24 other employees and i am the only natural citizen, its extremly frustrating being told to train people who cant speak the language and dont care to ... then i get told im being harsh.. and iv even been told im a racist because i wasnt hired to be an english teacher.

The reason they don't want to speak is because they can't speak English. Their command of the language is so poor yet they want to stay in Canada. Majority came through the student visa route as a means to get a work permit. They are abusing our system. These people must be sent home asap and our immigration system must be changed. Immigration agents who make promises they can't keep must have their licences revoked. We don't need anymore Tim Horton's workers. Tim Horton's and alike should invest in tech that allows for a less labor intensive option. Our govt. is either too blind or pandering to their corporate donors to the detriment of Canadians. Our youth unemployment rate is running at over 14% and yet the govt. issues these foreigners work permits. Disgusting.

A few years ago I went to university of Toronto for free dental care, cost me 350. Bucks was waste of my time and money, never in my life I though that a employee of the university believed she had more rights than I, due to loss of my job 40 years I found myself in a very shita situation. The person who worked for university though she could mistreat the Canadiana and she tried. Maybe if she spoke English she would understand she's not a Canadiana but a student on visa. To much much rights given to these students who actually believe they are better than the Canadiana. Go home get your education in your own country. Big problem it's government who many don't speak English and they actually believe that they have more rights than you. University of Toronto its very old and dirty with old teachers especially the one old farts with dementia and colored hair black who don't care about the students education. Old farts.

Why nobody can speak English ? How did the get in ? Do u want skilled workers or blue collar unskilled workers ? This is a question the Canadians need to ask ? And why only one country nationals are protesting , international students from other countries are not protesting , this needs to be rephrased as Indian International students protest

There are a lot of fraud agencies in Punjab and Delhi and they let these guys come in with fake IELTS scores. Why is Canada not checking them at the point of entry? Deny entry if they can't speak English properly for example. That is the biggest scam going on at the moment and I'm sorry but I do not feel bad if Canada send these guys back to India. We don't want them either but atleast they were born here!

Canada must repeat what it did in the 1930's and the 1940's. Canada needs to bring 5 million immigrants from Eastern Europe, like Poland, Portugal, Romania, Ukraine, Serbia, Bosnia, Lithuania, Estonia, Hungary, Macedonia etc. Just look at the Eastern Europeans in Canada, they and their Canadian born children and grandchildren have learned and speak the English language fluently. In Canada, people speak English and French. The British and the French values must be upheld. God save the King.

The truth they are not here for studies but for work…i dont even understand how they passed the English language assessment because some of them dont speak english properly. Its really hard time to communicate with them.\n\nWhen you go to the mall, fast food and wallmart you will notice 90% percent of them are from India . A friend and workmate of mine are complaining that their kids are having a hard time to find a job..

Please do not let anyone on a study visa with an IELTS score below 7 in each of the sections, also test the students at the border on behavior and other Psychology related issues. This will ensure proper candidates are allowed, who know English and can speak it comfortably. Also train the existing students on skills required to contribute to Canadian labor market that too free of cost, this is due to lack of proper course curriculum required for the labor needs of Canada and practical training availability. Immigration is not just a money making machine, there has to be a vision and proper planning before brining in millions of immigrants who will eventually settle here, but their productivity and integration should bring long term benefits to the economy as is expected from a great nation like Canada.

Most of Germans are really good people and friendly nothing against them but Germany itself is not immigrant friendly racism is pretty much on the rise ,low wages , little or no opportunities, my wife handles international clients and she says German client s are the worst in behavior they sound rude and entitled. If I'm a skilled person and want to move to Germany first and foremost you need to learn most difficult language in world and master it nothings wrong there but why would I when I could just go with English and move to other English speaking countries which offers more opportunities or atleast learn french that would be even more beneficial. Germany was known for it's low cost education system and other benefits it provide for students but sadly enough jobs are not there. If you want to attract international talent first atleast create an atmosphere for them but really sorry to say these but Germany feels hostile towards immigrants. Big MNCs are seeing all these and saying why are we here if we cannot hire international talent and slowly they are walking out of there and moving on to other countries ? and now you got serious issue here and people have only themselves to blame ?. Go taken out anti immigrant marches and go with conservative approach nothing new for Germany in the end German economy always ends up in toilet.

I’ve recently come across so many folks on “spousal visa” ?. One guy didn’t even know how to speak English properly. It’s such a scam and the Canadian government has created it.

They never speak English in public. Always on their phones. No manners or respect & do not want intergrate to the rest of the Canadian public. They still think there are in India, some even do fireworks in the middle of the night when others are sleeping, no care or consideration, I believe deportation is a wonderful thing. I think one of the main issues is the quality of some of these Indian migrants. What does a poorly educated, low skilled countryside bumpkin that can't speak English from the backwaters of Punjab offer a modern first world country like Canada? And many of these Punjabis have a skewed perception of Canada when they arrive here, often swaggering around like gangsters and making a show of themselves. They arrive here thinking the country belongs to them.

Those from India are like any other immigrants. They're trying to find their way in a new society with different customs and rules. My parents came here in the 50’s from Italy and were discriminated against in the same ways. As first-generation Canadians, my brother and I were discriminated against because of our heritage in school and then in our chosen careers.\n\nIn general, Indians are hard-working, well-educated, English-speaking and entrepreneurial. In general Indians benefit Canadian society.\n\nI became friends and eventually best friends with my neighbour from Punjab. He came here with nothing and became an educator for children with special needs. He had two master's degrees. One from McGill University and one from Cambridge. He was involved in our community at many levels. We spent most evenings discussing life, and society issues and even worked together on a campaign of one of our local councillors and won. He had a positive impact on all who knew him. Unfortunately, he passed in 2012. RIP Rupinder Jeji. You are dearly missed.
