I moved to Canada as a child with my parents 41 years ago. It isn't just inflation and cost of living that is the problem. My kids and grandchildren have Canadian accents and were Canadians from birth. But should they leave and return to the same crap??? What disgusts me more is that the PM dares to include immigrants with refugees, under the banner that 30% of the population are immigrants. Under the law, refugees are temporary migrants and usually nothing more. Canada used to be a good country, but when a person has to keep explaining where they got their job experience from and if they have any Canadian experience for every time that they look for a job in their lifetime in Canada, something is very wrong with Canada. Most jobs in Canada are blue collar and very few are white collar, yet Canada still continues to deceive the world into believing otherwise. Canada is a great vast and beautiful land, but only a small percentage of it has any infrastructure, roads, or homes sufficient to house what is a decreasing fraction of society. Refugees take preference over immigrants and citizens alike. The lie about the homeless is getting bigger. Most homeless Canadians today are veterans, elderly, disabled, mentally ill, poor, and professionals and trades people, yet Canada brings in countless professionals, claiming that their education and experience will get them into the professions that they are coming from. It's all a scam! Canadian education is not the best and yet people with better educations and job experience are being forced to spend all their money to go back to university or college to get jobs that they rarely will be hired for. Canada is not short of doctors, just short of professionals who hire professionals without using discrimination, hatred and racism for their HR kit! Many taxi drivers are doctors, engineers, and so on. So, please stop lying to the world and tell the truth. And no doubt this entry will be taken down because it offends a Canadian who doesn't want the world to know the truth.

I'm a Canadian, this government is turning Canada into a chaotic place. Yes we want new immigrants to this country, but the not kind of immigrant this Canadian government is bringing in costing hundreds of millions of tax payer's money with 0 return.

700,000 of the 1.1 million that came to Canada are students. The international student system needs to be overhauled. The university/colleges who want international students must register with the feds. Those with permits MUST BE MADE to build, own, and provide international students with housing. When an international student is offered a placement in a Canadian education institution, they are also offered housing built by that institution. Once acceptance is made, then the details are sent to the feds and the visa is finally issued. This way, everyone who comes, has housing, it takes pressure off the domestic housing market, the students themselves know where they are going to be and how much things will cost, including the housing, and the Canadian institutions who want the stdents, have to now pay for them. This will force the education institutions to build more housing, lower the number of students they bring in, and offer much more remote learning opportunities if the program really does not require the students to come at all. Pass the bill onto the institutions, and the problem will quickly resolve. The federal government is being LAZY. If it wants people, it has to focus on a system that makes sense for people to come to Canada, insure the institutions dont take advantage of these students AND NOT shift the housing problem to the domestic market. The federal and provincial governments also need to organize themselves with each other. The provinces should tell the federal government how many they can take in based on housing stock and unemployment rate, and the feds only grant visas based on those numbers, and the visas require those coming to be in the province that has space for them. This way, you help to take pressure off the larger cities and spread growth to areas of the country that wants the growth. The approach needs to be bottom up, so needs and capacity drive the numbers allowed in.

I came here as an international student, back then you could only get your PR if you studied at an accredited university, not a career college. Back then skilled workers were required, and that is how you were able to get a PR. Canada has changed so much, multicultural has left and more and more there are two cultures dominating. I came here because I use to visit for our annual holidays then decide I liked the culture and wanted to study here. The landscape has shifted , Canadians will soon be the minority and that is not the Canada I want to be paying taxes in. \nThere are always protesters waving foreign flags demanding that the government help their families, love ones in another country, meanwhile Canadians here are loosing their homes , can't afford food, basic life necessities and living in tents. Charity should start at home first.\nResponsible tax payers cannot afford to have kids, why because the taxes we pay are too high, if we're struggling to survive why would we subject a child into this world to experience the same. However, there are millions of dollars in incentives for people who never paid in to come to Canada with their extended family members who are dependent on government support, that we the taxpayers have to finance. The aging population could be address if the affordability could be address for citizens living here and PAYING taxes. If the government wants to bring in aging populations who never worked in Canada, their families should be funding their living here including healthcare, not taxpayers. Invest in your people first , help Canadians become more skilled to fill positions that there are shortages, lower taxes to allow Canadians to have said families and replenish the population , these are the people who would always put Canada first.

The rich want their services that keep them comfortable. There are not enough Canadians who want to make careers out of the service sector to serve the Wealthy 5 percent of the population. Doubling and tripling the time served and raising bail fees by 50% to keep folks that have criminal pasts off the streets <---- for first time offenders. \n\nFor those that have multiple offenses. Quadruple the jail times and put bail amounts 100% more then what they are now. \n\nGive those that kill, ra*e, torture, (and things along that nature (the death penalty) \n\nI would remove the mandate for Electric Vehicles for Canada. Where only 1 vehicle per manufacturer would have to be Electric. So if somebody wants it. It's there but the majority would be. Gas / Diesel etc. \n\nI would build more housing / schools / retirement homes / hospitals / recreation centre's / Library and walk in Clinics. \n\nI would write a law that the roads in Canada must be fixed properly. Not just patched. \n\nI would raise the taxes on Multi Million and Billion Corporations and those that make $400.000 or more to pay a higher tax. While those that make less than $400.000 get taxed less. \n\nI would Lower the provincial taxes by 2% effective immediately and the Minimum wage across all provinces would be $17.75 an hour for full time workers (over 32 hours per week) with .25 cent yearly increases until 2030 to be reassessed. \n\nI would give Tax cuts to those who want to open businesses and build and sell Canadian Products to make sure Canadian Goods are affordable to make. Still have a profit to slow down overseas production creating more Canadian jobs for Canadian People. \n\nEvery Worker that works 24 hours or more weekly is getting Benefits making it mandatory for all types of business owners to make benefits available to the workers and ensuring the plan covers a minimum of 50% throughout the entire year. \n\nI would raise the pension to those who have worked 25+ years in Canada and remain in Canada as a retiree for a minimum of 6 months of the year 5% \n\nShrinkflation will stop. Meaning gives immigrants the lie of a better life. So they take all their money that they have in their nation. And they bring it here. That's free money that Canada did not have to work for and now other nations have lost. then they lied to them and tell them that they can get anything they want. For me to get a franchise here while owning other businesses was IMPOSSIBLE 5 yrs ago. But these guys with no credentials are getting it right away. I wasn't allowed to modify my house or rent by law. And they are now allowing all of that. My mother had an international driver's license from France and she had to go through hoops to get her licence here. They are handing things over with no screening to these people which is cause instability and chaos. No structure. They let them bring their huge money here and put into franchises with no credentials. Bank loans free approval no questions asked. Meanwhile, most of those franchises will never make any money. Then they will take that money also, and put it into homes. Rent etc, and this is the part where they basically drain the immigrant money in an instant and put it into Canada economy. Now that you have all these immigrants buying all these businesses. Now you need slave work, so you start Bringing it more immigrants to work those slave jobs. Because in the 1990s, all the way up to 2010. You were encouraging Education. During that time Education was the money Maker. So you kept pushing that. Billions went to universities. Telling people that they'll have a better future. That was the lie of that time. Now you want the same people to work min wage jobs. Now immigration is a bigger Money maker. I am an international student, just wanted to ask Canadian people, why target international students, i am from India, i can guarantee that any Indian student coming to Canada brings at least 100k investment that directly gets used by the Canadian economy. My problem is why target us rather you guys should look for people who are coming to this country like refuse and use candian tax payer money and get all the benefits Canada offers, but us on the other hand we pay taxes like normal citizen. Just ask this question to each and everyone.

BC changed their labour laws to where an employer only has to give 2 hours of paid work in a day and they call that a job. Saskatchewan changed their labour laws to where an employer only has to give 3 hours of paid work in a day and they also call that a job. If employers would get the same kick backs and perks for hiring Canadians then there wouldn't be a need for hiring temporary foreign workers and the illegal immigrants and providing them with housing that Canadians, especially veterans, don't get. Plus the federal government allows China to buy Canadian businesses and all they have to hire is 1 Canadian and after that they can bring in all the Chinese workers they want. That is what needs to be stopped andCanadians would hopefully get a full time liveable wage job and not become homeless.

Actually it is really simple, the main reason that educational institutes (businesses in reality) and the country have been bringing in international students (whether India or elsewhere) is that *the international students pay 4-5x more in tuition* and so *educational institutes and the country wants to bring them in as cash cows, to milk them for the money!* *They have been using them as cash cows and milking them* There are so many institutes where there is such an imbalance, where 80-90% are international students and the local minority, the reason again is, $$. \n From international students and imgs there is a boost in the economy because of the high tuition they pay and the tax that is collected from that tuition, they spend on rent (crazy expensive as you know) transport, basic cost of living like food etc, entertainment etc, so the economy did benefit from immigrants and international students, but I completely agree that there is way too much influx. It is not good for them nor for the country, as everything has become so expensive, rent and housing affordability is gone crazy, due to crazy demand and low supply. \n So the problem is greed! I totally agree with True North's the Timz example, and the other places mentioned, and I really think that the government should work on affordability, the housing crisis, health care, sustainability, and fair and equal employment.

As an immigrant myself, but Canadian citizen. This mass migration that Trudeau has embarked on is part of their globalization agenda. The influx of low/non skilled people, that do not carry the same traditional Canadian values, is specifically designed to dilute the existing Canadian culture, and weaken the middle class, only to replace it with the elites globalist control. In the long run, not bringing in skilled workers that can positively impact and grow the economy will be very detrimental in the long run. Also, in speaking with many of these immigrants their allegiances and not with Canada, if you ask them if the are willing to join the armed forces to defend Canada, they say no. Hence, Canada is also importing ideologies that don't intend to integrate into our society. If you want to come to Canada, integrate or leave! There are also enough skilled and non-skilled workers, that are ready and able to work, it is visible - everywhere you go there are more and more homeless and out of work people.

This story is misleading and the Title is completely false. Canada's Student population doubled in 3 years and Canada went from 7th highest Foreign Student Population per capita to 2nd, so the Canadian Student housing situation worsened quickly. So the Trudeau Government put a cap on Foreign Students and offered low interest loans to Universities to immediately expand Student housing. Canada has seen NO drop in citizen applications and still refuses far more applications then it approves. So with even Canada's low birth rate still combined with immigration Canada's population is the fastest growing per capita of Western Democracies at an annual population increase of over 1 million people a year. So the Headline about Citizen applications which had nothing to do with the story of Foreign Students.\nAlso I want to add they stated that the gentleman had set up a business to bring home students from Canada when in the interview he stated that Canada was only one of the Countries but stating it the true way is less dramatic and doesnt fit their Narrative. Also the story was clipped from India a Nation that has been ata diplomatic war with Canada for a year after their Government Murdered a Canadian Landed Citizen. So their Governement put out a warning for their Citizens going their amongst other revenge moves. So the story has so many outside bias to be sensible.

This is not the same Canada, we came to, it has changed and believe me changed for worse. Every place is crowded still liberals say we need more immigrants.
