Trudeau has not been a good Prime Minister. He took the Liberal Party (historically a centrist party) further left, wasted billions of dollars during Covid and put punishing carbon taxes on Canadian citizens. As an American that saw the writing on the wall 7 years ago and left, I thank you Mr. Trudeau. You, and Canada are very much respected, and the world listens. Hopefully, decent Americans will overthrow the tyrant that 50% of them voted him in. To say I am ashamed of the USA as it stands is AWAY underwhelming. When I was growing up in Canada, hearing of someone being a “Proud American” was something I admired. Today it’s a punch line to a joke about the American education system. They have nothing left to be proud of, and I’m so thankful to be from this country instead.
