Never ever would I move to the US, I probably would go bankrupt on medical bills and I like to live in a country where they do have gunlaws!

Actually it is soo true. I have considered german for my education because it is less expensive than USA but I don’t see my full life in Germany because of language barriers and not promoting other nationals in higher positions. Go to USA you will find half of the top CEO or engineers Indians but come back to Germany and you won’t find many, this is because Germans don’t usually promote other nationals in managing positions higher than them. This is not welcoming so folks it is better if you come for your education, gain some work experience, explore europe as much as you can then move to USA and build your own home and raise kids, again push them to come to germany for free education of bachelors and masters ?

If Canadian doctors are going to move to the U.S. then please come to rural Oregon, we are low in primary care doctor all across the U.S. but rural areas are the worse.

I think it’s going to impossible to do this … because who is going to pay for this process.. just charge a fee to process whatever needs to be processed and make them legal … then move on..

Born and raised in Canada. Grew up believing anyone could do well here if you apply yourself as an average person. Household income was higher then the USA and for the most part 'middle class life' was pretty attainable. Now I've had some bumps along the way that has nothing to do with this to set me back, but today I look at the 'make a life market' and the opportunities are none. You either own a home and are doing well, or your a renter going backwards every year because of inflation and the brain drain. Entrepreneurs have left the country. We as a country have not done much since the 1980's. We stagnated in The Boomers success and never made a future for their children. Then in the past few years, we have rampant immigration to add to the fire. Canada, for a lack of words is a Dumpster Fire. DON'T MOVE HERE!

After having moved from my birth province of Ontario to Québec (2years), I moved back in Ontario because Eastern Ontario ( Ottawa) is the best place and more affordable to live. You pay alot more taxe in Québec.

To take advantage of generosity of host country who is willing to give you a chance at new life is crime and sin. There are legal ways of moving to another country. Why any country should accept liars, fraudsters and conspirators to their country? These people tarnish reputation of country with values and morals dating back 500 years. I believe that lack of health care in the U.S. stops many Canadians from even considering moving and working in the U.S. It may take longer to get medical care and treatment in Canada, but everyone is entitled to it. About 30 yrs ago we all paid into it, at our jobs. Not anymore. I believe employers may still be paying into it, but I think now it is just paid for with our taxes. So even people that do not work or are retired, each and every person is allowed it - if you live here.\nThere is also some Dental Care provided for some Children. Very recently,free Dental care is provided for people over 65. It is very new, so I do not know a lot about it yet. Also some drugs too are free for those over 65 too.\n\nPersonally I do not even want to visit the U.S because it seems like a very dangerous place.

The dynamics is complicated. High energy costs causing increase in costs for businesses and households. Household pushing for more salaries to meet their standard of living. Companies pushes for cost control measures like laying off, moving production abroad, or hiring low salaried people than paid locally (and often rely on hiring foreign workers). Domestic political dissatisfaction, terror incidents and growing AfD sentiment is affecting percieved motivation of foreigners which is affecting exodus of skilled manpower to other countries or even to their home country e.g. India.

Similar story, grew up in Vancouver as a kid. Can't say that I got much from Canada other than a pile of student debt. With a top engineering degree from a Canadian university, no jobs, no interviews. If it set me up for a better future, I could give it some credit, but even with visas, I had *much* better luck with opportunities in the US and even in western Europe, which is similarly socialist to Canada. I have had to move from country to country thanks to the lack of decent opportunity in Canada. More liability than asset, in my experience, other than the passport. Glad I left when I did, only regret I didn't do it sooner. Good luck to wherever you go next. I hear eastern Europe is a cool place, if you bring your income with you ;-)

As a Canadian, I would consider ,moving the the US.\n\nThe most significant reason is the high taxation in Canada. \n\nWhere would I consider moving to? Probably Texas.\n\nThe healthcare is an issue, because here it is free. That's a mahor benefit. We would see how it balances out.

I moved to Canada last year as an international student. I am an italian citizen, I have always dreamed to move to Canada. I was fascinating by its landscapes and lifestyle. Now, after I have lived for one year only, i found myself very disappointed. I am not surprised by so many people leaving Canada. It is sad because Canada was always been a great country...who knows if the current situation will change one day! ?

My wife is a doctor by profession (neurologist) - they tried to persuade her to move from Germany and Norway to work and live in Germany and Norway, but we stayed here in Latvia and after several years we have realized that it was the right choice where to live and build a life for ourselves and children. :) In Germany you have to speak German and that's how it should be.

born in Canada but moved to Detroit Michigan when i was 4 yrs old...on my 18th birthday came back to Montreal Canada permanently .....enjoy the people, food, medical advantage and mostly the acceptance of all racial cultures and gender preferences ...love Montreal...most beautiful and clean city.....come and visit....even if you speak only English you will be accepted and welcomed with open arms....Bienvenu my friend !!

I would be much more likely to move to holland, or New Zealand if I ever moved. Maybe even Germany.
