Before the US election, any concern about Trump's radical proposals was dismissed as falling for his hyperbole or over-reaction, that Trump was just babbling and didn't actually mean half of what he said on any given day. And this was the argument from those trying to defend his campaign. now, watching him deliver on one whackadoo plan after another.. so freaking depressing. The only bright star I have found is that there are still functioning democracies around the world. Never thought I would become a refugee of a totalitarian state. That is now in the realm of possible futures.

I am Canadian and I am envious of Americans because you have a leader who can stand for you guys, Canada’s economy has been suffering with his leadership even before Trump was elected but he is supporting /funding war , giving out tax payers to refugees he has been bringing who don’t contribute to tax. Hear him more concerned to Americans as opposed to announcing to us Canadians what is his plan for Canada to address tariff! Let USA do their thing , improve your leadership and don’t rely on other countries plans/decisions, unfortunately we are affected but it’s your job to make strategies of how you would address that. Dont put Tariffs on the USA as they are passed onto the end user/consumer which are the American people. Put the prices up on your sale of electricity, oil and gas 25% that the US government buys, so it hits them first and they will think twice. ..... Trump never mentioned cost of living in his acceptance speech which had us wondering. This is why.

I think these tariffs/only America and America first policies will be the downfall of Trumps administration and the US economy/influence around the world. We are only driving allies away while bringing inflation/pain to our people. If DOGE isn’t enough to save our debt crisis, this is the start of the end of the US's #1 standing in the world.

Trump's goal is to start an actual war with anyone who'll have it, including our closest neighbors and allies. The reason is that wartime presidents have more power and he doesn't care who stands in his way. He's going to use that power to detain journalists and jail political opponents ahead of the midterms claiming them to be traitors, then he's going to set himself up to run for a third term. If he succeeds, he'll have total control. Democratic leaders will be in jail, journalists will be silenced, and the national guard will forcefully search your home for any second amendments you might have lying around as they deliver our ballots at gunpoint. How do I know? Because that's what tyrants do. The US is in the midst of a political coupe and it's imperative that the situation be viewed from that paradigm. Drop any pretense that this administration is anyone's ally, they're not. They're a rogue administration attempting to seize total control of the US.
