If the free world wants to put pressure on the US for this betrayal, trade in euros (not dollars) and avoid US products and services. There are plenty of options. The US is so exposed to China through its debt that it will need to back down from these policies or collapse economically.

As a Canadian, I am more afraid of the people than their healthcare system. And I am chronically ill and would be homeless in America. You seem pretty cool, but living in a place where children have to train for school shootings. I heard they cant even wear light up shoes for their own saftey. As a home owner (with a mortgage) and nearing retirement, my first reaction is that I want housing prices to remain high so I can get the most from my house when I downsize. \nHowever, my house sale is so I can downsize into a home that I can buy outright with the money I get from selling my bigger current house. If my house value goes down, I would be OK as long as the price that I would pay from a smaller home also goes down. I want to live in a home that would have no mortgage. I will only get the minimum income in retirement so I need to be in a home without a mortgage payment, if at all possible.

It’s just getting worse. They’re introducing longer mortgage terms and decreasing the minimums you need for a down payment. Basically they want the younger generation to keep holding the bag while the retirees sell off their houses until the panic sell erupts and the dominos fall.

If my country doesn't get housing costs under control they're in serious trouble. The average house in the town I live in is something like 900K and there's basically no local economy. With costs so high I can't afford to start a family. If we keep gaining old folks needing healthcare while keeping housing expenses high and wages low taxes will have to keep going up.\n\nI am not going to continue to pay huge portions of my income for the benefit of the elderly while I can't afford a decent lifestyle. I don't want to but it seems moving to the US or elsewhere is the only option if things continue this way. At list point the local governments are so invested in denying housing permits and abusing zoning laws to prevent housing being built that the only way to fix it would be to strip the provinces and cities of the right to decide their own zoning bylaws. \n\nI want to see a change in the constitution that makes zoning bylaws illegal. There are too many people thinking of their self interest and not of the Nations interest. We deserve to lose the right to decide what can be built in our neighborhoods. We have been abusing this right for too long

Recent military retiree here. I've had to endure quite some time of my military service walking on eggshells because one of these snowflakes might get offended. I'm here to say sorry, but I need Soldiers focused on engaging and destroying the enemy. Not worried about using correct pronouns. Trans has no place in the military. Live however you want in your own home. Stop trying to make everyone around you engage in your fantasy. I live in the area where they go threw the border and they can basically walk right threw the border as most of the border stations are closed at night. They may want to be careful as people are putting Conibear traps along the border to catch people from going on their land illegally. The government leaves the border wide open and in the winter the Ice bridge is open on the St. Lawrence so they can walk right in. They don't need someone to bring them across, they can walk right in. The Clinton County Sherriff is full of poop and just reading a statement. They are not soft on crime up here because I live here in Franklin County that is next to Clinton County and both Counties are have some of the laziest law enforcement that never solves any crime, they just accost the people that have got in trouble before and other innocent people to create revenue to pay the public employee's that really don't do anything for what we pay them. I can tell ya at the border you are lying how easy they can come and go as they shut all the border stations down between Champlain and Massena at night and they can come and go as they please!

My issue is the invasion will never completely stop. They will try anything to get back in here. There are so many millions of people who want to come here and they will never stop trying. Deport and they just come back later.
