I understand the concerns of international students, but let’s be honest— a lot of students from India are taking advantage of the system through fake marriage schemes and purchasing of LMIAs. This is unfair not only to other international students but also to early immigrants who went through the long and emotionally exhausting immigration process.

Also most of us are aware how is the government funding used by private colleges. Government made money off students to save themselves from Covid economy and now they have no way to track them

imagine coming to a country paying high amount of college tution fees (as the international students pay higher amounts than local ones) as well rising costs of house prices,taxes only to be cheated with a illusion of dreams. I wouldnt blame the indians alone though i dont support the border crossing. the government who allowed even small institutions to exploit the students are to blame when they took their money and then blame evrything on them. you are forgetting these people came to Canada legally and the goverment and the locals have benefitted and now you blame them. why?

Sitution is out of control, not sure the conservative have a solution, for they may talk big and verbally attack the visible minority to get the far right votes, but in reality they would not dare upset the far right international collision - for example the Indian Prime Minister, a far right hero of all racist and fascist of the world. Give more money to our established colleges and universities with small classroom catering to Canadians of all race and class.\nThis major invasion of foreign student affects all Canadian in the urban centres regardless of race and creed.\nThe young Canadian students have limited job opportunities because all low paid jobs are taken by the foreign adult students, companies like Walmart has found cheap labour in foreign students - modern day slavery.\nThe foreign students, atleast a good majority of them, come to Canada to settle and to support their families back home, therefore they have to work.\nLet's vote for the party with real solutions to safe guard ours and ours kids future. As FRENCH, I think it is more an issue with policies set by both governments!!! You know you bring students IN and why don’t you build houses and encourage construction???? In France, many students (mainly Africa, and French departments like Guadeloupe, Tahiti or Martinique) come to study there (for free and we are proud of it!!!) BUT - unlike Canada - we do NOT have the same issues as Canada (our healthcare is NOT under pressure and our housing prices haven’t really increased that much as compared to Canada for example!!!) to me, the students are NOT to blame!!! It is the fault of the deciders (at different level) who have FAILED to set the right policies!!!! The schools are also to blame as some (not all) are so obsessed with making profits out of the higher international fees, which by way, subsidize Canadian students!!! So in Canada (not in France or Germany), the money that allows schools to function come from international students who BRING LOTS OF MONEY for the Canadian economy!!!! in France, it is different as the universities are FREE and are fully subsidized by the French government… but yes;) you have to speak French fluently to attend them!!! \nSo dear Canadians, do not blame foreign students thanks to whom your universities thrive and remain existant!!! Without them (namely the Indians too), the Canadian universities will struggle to find money and funding! Remember, the system in France is TOTALLY different!!!!

Instead of addressing the main issues which were housing crisis, cost of living rise and shortage of jobs, I am not sure why these people are so derailed and blaming people who are legally here. If the government could not provide for housing and jobs why did they invite so many international students and immigrants. If CANADA is so tired of immigration why are still people with no skills at all are being accepted as refugees. Please ? don’t spread hate.

Disclaimer: Canadian of East Indian Descent here. Went through the pathway of studies-work-residency-citizenship\n\nLet me simplify the story for all of you guys here that lacks immigration intel. \n\n1) The quality of migrants you see here is not what Canada needs long term. It’s not a matter of ethnicity, but Canada needs to import talented and educated folks in medicine, engineering, trades etc. None of these individuals are interested in studying and are either attending 3rd grade colleges/universities to get a work permit and hoped to stay on. \n\n2) Shoddy sales tactics include lying or ‘avoiding stating the obvious’ that could make you lose the deal. This is exactly what the Canadian government did with these people. The Canadian dream was sold somewhat properly before 2017/2018 I would say. Post Covid there was a MASSIVE need of manpower in minimum wage jobs. The government could not afford increasing minimum wage at the time and international students would do exactly those jobs and bring in millions of dollars in tuition fees. The government opened the gates for these strip-mall colleges to take unprecedented numbers of students with allowances to work. These students were sold the exact same dream that a top quality University/college student is sold about Canada. They needed to be used at the time. And if they would’ve been told that their quality of students are only needed temporarily, they wouldn’t have come. The labour shortage at the time wouldn’t have been solved. So a CATCH 22 of the highest order. \n\n3) Canada CANNOT give in to such protests as it will set the worst example of migrant pandering for future generations. The best talent will refrain from entering Canada and more and more of these types of immigrants who do not want to assimilate to the Canadian culture will want to keep on coming.

International students get 3 years of work permit after studies. Skilled students get a job in their profession, gather enough points for PR, and get the Permanent Residency. Students with no/less skills don't qualify for PR and they have to leave. This has been the law since always and hundreds of students return back home upon expiry of their temporary status in Canada, but now students from Punjab, India with no professional skills, want to get PR by protesting.

Get out all international students

A lot of Canadian students cannot get into college because they are FULL of international students. Imagine if your local high school was unable to take your kids in for this fall term, and the reason they gave you was because they were 'FULL OF INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS' ?? You would flip out if that were to happen.

Are they international students or temporary foreign workers? \nDoesn’t really matter, they come here for a defined period of time when it’s over they need to leave.

Will I am an international student. If they don't get a job it's because they failed to convince... whereas I know people in international students who haven't got jobs for like a year now ...! My family came from Canada from India over 100 years ago we came over here legally we tried to assimilate I think what really bothers me now is that these new international students are giving all of us a bad name most of them cheat on their English exams back in India, and this is a known fact most of them can’t speak English and hence why they fail the colleges here expecting to be passed automatically. they work over 40 hours a week illegally and lie about it The government is subsidizing international students but they are taking jobs away from our students. We paid taxes my entire life and my son applied for over 100 jobs and got nothing because every single job is taken over by international students they are they are abrasive. They are entitled, they cannot seem to understand how assimilation works. They are so entitled and they feel they can protest out in the streets when they dont get PR. They came on a student visa and were expected to go home. They are now complaining and protesting at this point they all need to be sent home because this is ridiculous, PR should be handed out as needed not automatically and right now there are so many Canadians without jobs so we don’t need more workers. I also work in healthcare most of the students or their families come in don’t have appropriate healthcare and we end up paying millions of dollars in healthcare bills because of them, we have had families come visit their international students with no healthcare having strokes costing us healthcare workers and the government over $1 million. We don’t have the infrastructure for these students to stop. The government needs to stop subsidizing. The government needs to stop handing out PR like they’re handing out candyscamin India and here charged enough is enough. I will def be writing to my politician

I think they are not real international students. They cheat on their documents and pretending students. Actually, they are economical immigrants but can’t fulfill the requirements of immigration.

This is a rat race , not everyone one is educated, not everyone has basic etiquettes and work dedication to explore the professional world, not everyone knows how to speak english properly or to express themselves clearly and they just come here as they hear or see that PEOPLE LIVING IN CANADA ARE EARLING HELL AMOUNT OF MONEY. The number of international students which is 1, 50, 000 and the next number which is 14, 11, 000is such a huge number of international students which will over come and take a total control of every business and work in Canada , thereafter the native Canadian people and their next generations with suffer a lot and the deportation of such huge number will also be difficult .The bettter solution is to stop this king of studies and international studentships to avoid gross complcations in future.

I worked in a college that admits international students. Many of them came here with fradulent documents and cannot speak English trying every possible way to cheat and exploit any system. I am an economic immigrant and I feel betrayed.

International students who come from Africa to study in India, if they demand there, we want citizens of India, then the Indian government checks the right way and Deport them. No international student from Africa comes to India and protests

I feel bad for these guys. Seriously I would rather have an international student serving me coffee than a regular student. These guys are polite hardworking and quick.. When they hired regular students i got attitude rudeness wrong orders.

The liberals will lose if they don’t do something with the international students I think that’s the number one source spot for everybody we want them gone. There is way too many. In Canada they are not banning Indians they are putting a cap on foreign workers and international students. \nIndians are the only that are protesting in the streets.\nWhen the economy is bad and there are not enough jobs for the taxpayer population in it I don’t think that the government will take large numbers of people from abroad

London, England was messed up by the Indians. Mumbai's downtown resembles London. Because they want Canada to remain Canadian, they are attempting to stop it. I don't hate international students, and I understand that they came here with hopes for a brighter future. But... evidently, we have to face the fact that this is not the same Canada that it was 10 or 5 years ago. This Canada has fallen so bad it cannot even sustain its own citizens, let alone non-citizens. It's tough luck, but they shouldn't have chosen Canada, not with the way it is right now.
