Why not go undercover among blacks and coloreds and let us hear what they say about whites? I am a black man and in my opinion the only people I hear racism from every day are black people.

Why is it that whenever the police say they arrested or detained someone because they fit a description...we never get to see the person so that the rest of us can judge? So if an eleven year old boy is shoved into a cop car, and it turns out the police were looking for a 45 year old man who is six inches taller than him, we should be able to petition that officer's employment.

I think in like these schools or job positions it should be about the skills of the person not the race or gender. If for example 2 people apply to a job and one is black and one is white and the white one gets picked because of his skin color then that shouldn't be acceptable. But let's say that the white guy had better skills in that exact position than the black man then i think the white guy should be picked. It's about the skill not gender race etc.

I’m white (European French), ow Canadian but grew up in Oakland, Calif, had a black boyfriend in High School and now have a black daughter in law so I’m comfortable and familiar with many racial issues. When Kathleen mentioned she felt uncomfortable with a white man touching her hair and saying it was beautiful, I thought that was taking her perceived racism over the top. If she had been white with the same hair only blonde it would have been equally uncomfortable. I dated a man of color in college. I truly never knew until I experienced it. We got pulled over all the time. Searched for drugs, to the point it was ridiculous. He took it in stride saying he was used to it, driving while black and just laughed it off. I filed a complaint with the police department.

I think what happens is people get grouped together from someone elses behaviour. I remember in Toronto in the 70's a guy from India or Pakistan planted a garden in a room of his apartment. The tenant below called the landlord to say there was a leak upstairs and his unit was being flooded. People judged all people of his ethnic background to this man's standard. You think that landlord wants to take another chance.

Yes I ran into racial profiling when I wanted to ask why CBC is biased and won't report fairly. Being white and male, I was told that my opinion is invalid, and in spite of the taxes I pay for their wages, I don't have any say. Moreover, because I am male, CBC's supreme leader Trudeau has dictated I am not allowed any sort of platform. This is an important issue! Why do you think these sterotypes are so prevalent CBC? Immigration has ALWAYS been hard but many people make life more difficult when they don't understand a country's laws and/or fail to follow those laws. I know a man who came to the USA with $50 and managed to work and send money to his wife and then one day he wrote to his wife to say he couldn't send any more money because he was buying a bakery. Then he sent for her and they raised two sons, worked very hard in his little business, sent his sons to a private university. They followed the law and all are successful now. I also know a man from Colombia who came to the USA legally and a U.S. businessman saw how diligently he worked and helped him start a business. The American dream works. More than 720,000 new citizens were sworn in recently (in 2016, if my memory is correct).

If women are really given a higher status in Islam, why is it that under Islam a woman's testimony is only half that of a man's in Sharia court. A Muslim woman does not have the right to divorce if her husband refuses but the Muslim husband can divorce her anytime and can even marry as many as four wives but the Muslim woman can not. A Muslim woman inherits only half that of a man's in her family under Shariah Law. So how can she say that woman are given a higher status in Islam? More importantly, why is it that a Muslim woman who defies her parents especially in forced marriages become victims of honor killings? Why is it Muslim girls are subjected to female genital mutilation in most if not all Muslim countries?
