Let's not become anti-American. Let's just become more pro-Canadian. Thinking too much of America has put us in this situation. Left or right on the political spectrum. Let's just make our parties put US first, not U.S.
2025-03-04 0
IF CANADA DOES SOOOOO MUCH FOR THE U.S. WHY ARE WE SENDING BILLIONS TOO THEM,YOU BETTER DO YOUR RESEARCH,CAUSE JUST A HANDFUL THINK TRUDEAU HAS BEEN DOING GOOD!!!

I stay with the gentle and stable strength of Canada. From inside the U.S.\n\nMany of us are resisting the Trump regime.

This is Trump's version of The Wizard of Oz. Fentanyl was NEVER the issue. Why would an administration BENT on ruining federal workers' livelihood, cutting off food to the global poor via cruel reductions in USAid, gutting Medicaid show ANY concern for drug-related deaths?\n\nAstute author Naomi Klein (from Canada) coined the terminology of The Shock Doctrine. THAT is what's being done, but this time, instead of it being aimed at Middle East nations, it is hitting the U.S and its neighbors.\n\nShame on the fools pretending to be leaders, fools that our supreme court should have prevented from EVER holding office. SHAME!

BULLSHIT. Canada has been ABUSING the U.S. with tariffs so let the MF games begin.
2025-03-04 0
The U.S. did not slap Canada and Mexico with 25% tariffs - Trump did.

Like Russia, Canada has key strategic resources and huge oil and gas reserves. The west could not cause the collapse of the Russian economy after it invaded Ukraine because of that key fact. Canada will eventually find other markets for its natural resources. This is a sad fact as integrating our economy with the U.S. has been a great benefit to both countries. You buy our natural resources, we buy your manufactured goods. Too bad, this administration does not see this simply reality. Don't get me wrong, Canada will suffer MORE than the U.S. as our economy is much smaller, but it will survive and once it decouples its economy from that of the U.S., it will be fine. The U.S. on the other hand is breaking treaties with longtime allies and isolating itself on the world stage. It is squandering its place as world leader and world superpower. China is licking its chops.

Actual title: “Powerless loser tries to look tough by announcing that Canada will lose trade war against the U.S.”

I’m a government worker in the city where I was born and raised. I’m also a mother, a wife, and a family-oriented person. Because of the sheer incompetence of this administration—and the people who blindly followed along—our future is more uncertain and jeopardized than ever before.\n\nI was planning to buy a car for our growing family. We had been saving for a house and making future plans, but now, all of that—especially spending—is on hold. The U.S. is a consumer-driven economy, so what do you think will happen when people like me stop spending due to uncertainty?\n\nThis is madness. We need to speak out, build mutual aid networks, and fight for a future that uplifts everyone—including our allies.

Global elite WEF talking points against President Trump \nJust like the democrats in the U.S \nAt least they all have the good quality of loyalty --- to the worlds wealthy elite \nRussia Russia Russia gate 2.0

The only thing Canada gives to us is oil and some auto parts. Other than that. Nada. 75% of Canada's exports are purchased by United States consumers. Without the U.S., Canada would crumble.
2025-03-04 0
As a proud Canadian, we've always had your back U.S. but if your idiotic president wants to side with that Russian bastard, you're on your own. We support Zelensky and the free world not murderers.
2025-03-04 0
The WSJ said what?? Clearly the U.S. president is anything but smart. Orange man can learn alot from Trudeau.
2025-03-04 0
As an American it wouldn't bother me if the U.S. became Canada's 11th province. We are not down the right path!
2025-03-04 0
American here and wish our president was as sensible as Trudeau, problem is Trump is too stupid and Elon is too rich and controlling the U.S. which makes running this country a total disaster!!!\n\nImpeachment is not a suggestion it’s needed and needed NOW!!!! Republicans in elected positions step up and quit letting this country get dragged down.
2025-03-04 0
This will hurt america way more than it will hurt Canada! Canadians are used to tightening their belts and pulling together and remember that when our trade deals are ratified with other countries and those relationships are built and new trade routes are forged bypassing the u.s. then the u.s. will be a stand alone country wait until Canadas oil and gas and electricity is turned , and let's talk about Canadas potash and just about everything else will be gone let's not forget about tourism because instead of making north America stronger Canada will be stronger and once we start getting fair market value for Canadian energy and our national debt is gone then it'll be bye bye Americans. You won't be the stronger nation on earth very much longer. Is America joining Russia as a new communist agreement.

This clowns been destroying Canada since day 1 , nothing but lies from a weasel... in major cities we are having a o.d a hour from that filth and they sre doing NOTHING! Trump is doing the right thing and trying to protect u.s citizens, wish we had that up here\n\nKeep up the pressure ? merica

Glad that The United States is finally treating its “allies” how they should be treated. Figure out your own problems. I hope the U.S leaves NATO, UN and any other bullshit groups.

The sooner we Americans accept that Donald Trump is essentially batshit crazy and proceed to impeach the Orange Menace, the better off everyone in the world will be. Except of course, Russia. The more pressure great democracies as Canada exert upon Trump internationally, the more the U.S. economy (and Americans ourselves) will suffer. The more we Americans suffer, the more pressure will be exerted upon Trump domestically, and the more the U.S. Congress will bilaterally be pressured to impeach Trump. A lot of Canadians might not agree with me, but the Prime Minister is among the greatest democratic leaders of our time in contrast with the USA's new dictator-in-waiting. May God bless Canada and may God deliver the United States.

YOU GO CANADA. I am Portuguese standing for Canada. I was in Afghanistan under the EU flag. I't amazing how the U.S has become under a Putin lookalike. The U.S now has it's on Trumputin. WHAT IS HAPPENING???
2025-03-04 0
I love the U.S but go Canada !!!!! Trump you're a real pos. The USD will tank as demand for it globally declines.

We are inching ever closer to Civil War in the U.S.
2025-03-04 0
The U.S. has a massive economic advantage over Canada in any trade war—no debate. The U.S. economy is 10x bigger, and Canada relies on American trade way more than the other way around. The idea that they have 'leverage' is just political posturing. They can slap tariffs on select U.S. industries to try and cause some pain, but in the long run, they *will* lose. Their leaders just don’t want to look weak, so they act like they’re standing firm when in reality, they’ve already been pushed off the cliff. The U.S. can outlast them easily.

I applaud our Prime Minister for holding his ground amidst internal turmoils. It only takes a lost, uninformed person and misguided (?) person like Donald Trump, to sabotage the special relations between Canada and the U.S. \nMr. Trudeau, your eloquent speech depicts your patriotism and passion. And yes, these are the wise words of a a mature person who is firing up the patriotism as he leaves the office. Respect !Mr. Trudeau?

The cartels are already in the u.s. don't be surprised
2025-03-04 0
This is getting ugly. Canada is already in a not good way and this will make it worse. I am not taking sides, but Canada will suffer more than the U.S.

Its insane to see the amount of people that are being manipulated by politicians only in it for personal gain. Why don't you all take a moment to go google Zelenskys home. Look at it before U.S. aid and after. Oh, wait. I forgot that as soon as that story aired, it was immediately removed from search results the same day. Or the luxury carpets that they spent millions on. So, please enlighten me as to why 2 million dollars worth of carpets are necessary during a war? By the way, that was taken from search results as well. Maybe its because democratic parties have influence over 90% of what we, as americans, use on a daily basis to gather information. I am really not on either side, but isn't the guy speaking here the one that literally resigned like 2 months ago? Everyone is so desperate to hear what they want that they are running right back into this dudes arms.

Both Canada and Mexico have done everything to work together with U.S. - we are the 3 amigos and trade partners. I cant believe this is happening, hopefully it will all resolve each other. We are not enemies, we are the closest countries not only in geography, but in history, culture, and trade.

I voted for Trump but strongly disagree with these Tarrifs. The administration has a limited timeframe to encourage foreign investment in U.S. manufacturing. However, the uncertainty surrounding these trade policies could deter such investments, as companies may hesitate to commit resources without assurance of long-term stability. Additionally, there's no guarantee that future administrations will maintain these policies, potentially reversing any progress made. This unpredictability could hinder the intended economic growth and job creation.

What is happening at the border to stem the flow of fentanyl INTO Canada from the U.S., I wonder? I suspect the flow is larger that way than vice versa.
2025-03-04 0
Trump is a fool. The U.S. traded energy with Canada and Mexico. They will find other markets but the U.S is stuck.
2025-03-04 0
Oh give me a break! Canada has been right along with the U.S on becoming friends with murderous dictators. Saudi Arabia for one. All the middle east folks, the warlords etc. Don't be fooled. All those people up there are not looking out for your best interests.
2025-03-04 0
The U.S. is being defeated from within. Open your eyes, MAGA!
2025-03-04 0
In my family, the non-veterans are the most ardent supporters of this bully; I am a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and I think Trump is an embarrasment and a danger to our world.

Grow a set of balls, liberals. \nHave faith in the U.S.
2025-03-04 0
I’m sorry Canada I don’t care about your lame duck leader threatening the U.S.. go away

America flourished most after abandoning conservative 1940s-style protectionism in the decades following World War II, particularly during the postwar economic boom of the 1950s and 1960s. This period saw the rise of progressive free trade agreements, global economic cooperation, and industrial expansion.\n\nKey moments include:\n\t•\tThe General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade (GATT) (1947) – This laid the foundation for reducing global trade barriers, leading to increased economic growth.\n\t•\tThe Marshall Plan (1948) – Rebuilding war-torn Europe created strong economic ties and markets for American goods.\n\t•\tThe postwar boom (1950s-60s) – Rising wages, a strong middle class, and industrial growth were fueled by global trade and increased productivity.\n\t•\tThe creation of the World Trade Organization (WTO) (1995) – Building on GATT, the WTO further expanded global trade opportunities for the U.S.\n\nIn contrast, returning to outdated protectionist policies today risks reversing decades of progress, leading to economic stagnation, inflation, and weakened global influence.

U.S will drive it's self intoa corner and end up alone unless someone grows some balls and get's ridd of that Trump administration. They are playing right into the reds pockets.

If it wasn’t for social security I would have moved to Canada a long time ago. If social security goes away what reason is there to stay in the U.S.?
2025-03-04 0
Trump will go down as the most disgusting, unamerican president the U.S. has ever had.
2025-03-04 0
trump fooled supporters it is time to open your eyes and listen to the truth ...u.s a will fall if you allow poor decisions and bullying in custom made suits , the romans fell under a dictator too,

Castro’s son is going to lose this one. All the U.S. wants is equity.
2025-03-04 0
Why does England, keep wanting to colonize the u.s, after making Joe Biden president and actually controlling the country try for some time? They lose, now want to use their pawns to use force, take control and then using their real name, say it wasn’t them?
2025-03-04 0
The fact that Trump had put tariffs also against the EU, I firmly think he will do it to us here in U.K.. it will not surprise me.\nHe’s an a-hole, an think he’s doing good for the USA, but the U.S will suffer. Good luck, no sympathy!
2025-03-04 0
In the grand scheme of things this wont hurt the U.S. The Pentagon misplaces 600 Billion every year. 155 Billion isnt going to make a difference . The U.S is going to find different suppliers who are willing to sell at a lower price. It's basic economics.
2025-03-04 0
Sure! Here’s a version that sticks closer to yo\n\nWhen Canada imposed reciprocal tariffs on the U.S., who do you think felt the bigger hit? The U.S. has a much stronger economy, so it could absorb the impact better than Canada. Same thing with Russia—almost every major country hit them with sanctions, yet their economy is growing at an estimated 4%, faster than most. This just shows that economic strength and resilience matter more than just who imposes tariffs or sanctions.

Canada won't back down at all they never did during the oppressive mandates they formed the trucker convoys and put a stop to that madness the U.S never did anything like that. Trump is just a terrible leader all he has done since in power is attack allies its not like he went after any of the people that were trying to get him convicted, this moronn as soon as he was voted into power he attacked Canada his closest ally ridiculous, I'm beginning to think Trump is an agent of some kind based on his actions so so retarded his actions.
2025-03-04 0
I wonder when the unhinged U.S. administration will turn to military action as the economy collapses.
2025-03-04 0
There is no leadership in the U.S. trump is a very weak president????????
2025-03-04 0
This guy is a con artist who has handcuffed Canada's economy for a decade. The claim that Canada has had record growth and prosperity since the signing of the Canada, Mexico, U.S. trade deal is laughable. Canadian's standard of living has deteriorated for years.
