Great points I clicked like. Even though I disagree with all of the points as no country is perfect. I can tell you the cons of every single country. The most important thing is to look for the good, the freedom, and safety in a Country.

Canada is what you make of it. You can arrive rich and end up poor and you can arrive poor and end up rich. In between that, you can have a great life that balances your needs. I’ve seen immigrants succeed simply because they see the opportunity in front of them . They worked hard in their own counties to stay just above the poverty line ,but when they apply that same effort here it pays off ten times greater. I feel that compared to a lot of immigrants, natural born Canadians come across as spoiled and a little lazy…we are. We haven’t had to struggle the same way someone from a poorer country might have. I’ve talked to people who’ve worked ten to twelve hours a day just to stay afloat. If you did that here you could make plenty of money to live and have some left over. As far as owning a house goes,yes it’s expensive . I feel that homeownership in any country is relatively expensive. Here is a tip; use that soaring home prices to your advantage. Houses are expensive but you can make a lot of money buying and selling. I recommend putting together a buyers group and share the house for a few years, then sell at a profit, buy a bigger house or two smaller houses.try to buy the worst house in the best neighbourhood and fix it up slowly . That house could double in value in five or six years in the Toronto market. This is nothing new of course ,the people from India and China seem to do this a lot here ,it drives up prices and profits. On the downside to this ,you are now part of the problem. As the housing prices are driven up the non wealthy can no longer afford to own a house . They are at the mercy of high rents with no rewards of ownership. They are caught in a cycle of hard work and (relative)poverty. This could also be you if you can’t keep up the house payments and are forced to rent.\nHow well you speak English is important but your native language is also useful here because Canada is half immigrants . As a Canadian that speaks only english (Irish descent)I have to say to all newcomers that I’m very impressed that you have learned a new language and that you may even speak more than two! Don’t be embarrassed about your abilities . I find that in my experience , Canadians do not look down on people just because they don’t know English. In fact ,I’ve known people that have lived here for decades and still know very little English. They are comfortable in their communities and they function just fine. Learn as much English as suits your needs and be proud of any gains you make.\nOutside of Toronto are other cities that you might consider when looking at southern Ontario.From my experience,most are generally the same, just not as big . There are large immigrant communities in London Ontario, Hamilton and just outside of Toronto where housing is just a little bit less expensive but the commute to work is probably longer. This is just my opinion but in the small towns there are less people of colour , (which is what people of no colour call everyone else . I wonder if I’m called a person of no colour in some other culture ? LoL ). That might make it harder for you to feel integrated ,if that’s what you want. I’m not saying that people from other cultures can’t make it in a small town , I’m just saying that it’s definitely not Toronto . Here, people of any nationality can feel like they have a place where they can belong . It seems that no matter where you are from ,there is a community already here that’s set up restaurants and stores and clothing shops and newcomer support systems. And if your from Portugal or China or India or Africa or the Middle East, there are large groups of your kin here that have established roots for generations and you probably know this already.\nToronto means meeting place and that becomes evident quickly. I was born here and it’s one of the things I love the most about my city. I’m not going to say that there isn’t systemic racism here ,the people of no colour still kind of keep the top position , but as we become a minority in a decade or so ,I hope that will shift to a broader spectrum. It’s certainly happening already. One good thing is that the police department tries to hire people of colour so that racialism may play a smaller role. We’re getting used to seeing our politicians more and more reflect their constituents.\nI have to talk about the weather. Because I’m from here I’m used to the extremes of minus thirty and plus thirty . Eventually you get used to it (somewhat). Dressing in the right clothes is important. Summer is easy , but winter is different. It’s trying to kill you. Spend the most that you can afford on winter cloths . If you can afford a quality parka you should get one. The hood can be drawn around the face and stay out of the wind.\nIf not ,think of layers with a outer layer that blocks the wind. We have things called long Johns that are basically full length thick cotton or nylon pants that go on under your pants and a pair of extra thick socks. Buy your boots to fit your thick socks. Try to get the best boots you can afford ,it’s something that you might spend a little extra for but never regret.\nAll in all we are a fairly organized and peaceful society. Most people are friendly and will give you a chance . We have a good social safety net here and you don’t have to be homeless or starving if you don’t want to. There are people and organizations set up to help ,that truly try to get people back on their feet. It’s a good investment that pays off in ways that matter for the quality of life in a big city. I’m not putting my American neighbours down when I say they do things differently. They have their ways ,we have ours. This is just something that we do because we’re trying to learn how to help those that society has discarded or can’t find their place. Sure we have one or two areas where the homeless have pitched tents and we have some resources for them if they want. Unfortunately The mayor recently forced a small camp to move from a very visible place to more scattered locations. There were social workers involved as well as protesters trying to protect them. I didn’t like that happening and I want to see even more resources dedicated to them ,but on the other hand ,we are trying to avoid something like what happens on the streets when it’s just ignored. When I see YouTube videos of the streets of Philadelphia I’m extremely saddened. I thank the lucky stars that I was born in Toronto Canada.\nFor all it’s pollution and expense and crowds ,I think it’s a great place to do almost anything your heart desires . For every ugly building there is a beautiful park ,for every honked horn there is a birds call , for every cold and dark day there is beautiful sunny one around the corner.

Funny I’m from a small town\nAnd I’ve been going to the same gas station/corner store for like over 15 years and this new guy follows me and watches my every movement...and when these white kids I know are trouble makers he doesn’t do a thing lol the store owner actually told him “oh he’s okay I know the family” because he noticed the new guy watches my every move and I let it go for weeks but the owner told him I’m okay and he had this look like he wasn’t convinced lol needless to say he quit and now works at another store across town..another place I go to lol I said “hi man! This may surprise a lot of people, but Canada is also more ethnically diverse in daily living than the USA... and by a lot. Nearly every grocery store in Canada has an ethnic section.... try finding that in the US... sure, they have it, but you have to really look... not so in Canada.

Racism exists the world over in every country and if you go looking for it you will find it even in the most tolerant nation, not saying that is or isn't Canada.

I'm calling bs. I grew up in Scarborough, the schools in my area were mixed Caribbean, Canadian, European, Indian (and other South asain), Chinese (and other East Asian), middle Eastern, African, Latino, everyone went to the same school. Everyone's families were and are poor going through the same struggle. By the time I got to highschool I took the higher level courses, I went to class everyday, I wasn't a smart kid I didn't get to uni, I took a bridging program in college and got into uni. It's not hard to climb the latter in Canada if you work for it. Meanwhile at the same school a large percentage of Carribean and Somalian black students do not go to class, they skip, they dont care. In fact these same kids picked and made fun of the Asian kids that did go to school. They have zero respect imo. You can call me whatever you want I am just speaking my personal experience. School never seemed like a priority to them. I'm not Chinese or Indian but those 2 cultures always seemed like the hardest working. Those kids went to every class and got the best grades. Again Caribbean and Somalian black students in my area were more likely to be distruptive in class and get into fights. As were Greek kids and Canadian/Irish white kids. I am only pointing out the black students in relation to this video. Personal accountability is important, I don't disagree there is problems with the system but let's not act like there isn't a problem within black and even poor white culture itself. Sometimes you have to look in the mirror.

native americans have it worse than anyone by far. My nephew is native and he'll do fine. his parents are amazing and he's ridiculously brilliant so i don't see him doing anything but succeed, but a kid without the back up of a strong family and his IQ, heck i don't think it will go well. it does hurt his feelings, even at his young age the other kids he's in school with are very disappointing.\ni have witnessed this discrimination almost every time i am where natives are other than where they are well known. Little kids get looks that aren't at all admiring their cuteness....and they are plenty cute kids. I was shocked when it was told to me, unbelieving, thats when i started watching.

When people get beyond the boundary of a person's color you will face the reality of what this is all about in the first place. Isn't it funny when we look at things like professional sports. The music industry a host of other platforms you see the black community excelling. Now you do not see a huge rebellion taking place from any other nation that is not represented in those areas. So what is really up with these other areas you continue to bring up. All those other problems are not being escaped from because of a persons color. If you believe you have a problem in those areas. Then continue to find solutions. Stop trying to single out the fact that you are the only race that has life issues. When you know every Canadian daily has challenges it faces. The thing about it all is simply this fact. What are you going to do about it ? Stop putting up walls that tell others you are always a victim. If that were the case your basketball courts, baseball stadiums, football fields would not be filled. We all know that is not happening. And I certainly do not believe that all blacks live in this sort of arena. In fact I have a lot of friends who are black. All I see everyday is a beautiful person behind that face. The other thing is, that there are millions of Canadians every year out getting tans when the sun hits. That alone should speak volumes.

I identify myself as a woman of colour, amazing colour, it embraces me and reflects back my beauty for all around me to see. We were given every opportunity to explore the world where we lived and had passion for reading books, I was encouraged to explore so much of the world and ideologies. Issues of racism existed around me and this was unquestionable, but we had a safe place in a family with committed parents to develop and make our mark on the world. How refreshing to explore the world from a safe place and our parents especially my father encouraged us to mix with people of all cultures, because he firmly believed and I also believe there is only one race, the human race. We look different on the outside but let’s enjoy the fact that God made of one flesh all people. So, impressed with my amazing grandparents and parents... There are all kinds of instruments being used to analyze our personal data anytime a person asks for help of any kind from the gand so gone are the days when you could count on offering blind trust to proft essionals assuming they will be accountable to those they serve for their best interests when interpreting the details of your case with you and with others since all they have to do when questioned is to produce a print out of automated results as 'scientific' proof to back up their impressions and conclusions about your situation and health. Who has the time to pour over every detailed highly technical looking instrument result? of their legal decisions recomended to a judge in business law and other kinds of court rooms and sometimes those automated results are being used to push medical diagnosic labels and then use them in a court of law whenever a malpractice suit is being waged.

There are orthodox and super orthodox people in every community, religion and country and follow the dress and the look accordingly. There are also terror outfits in every religion out of a phobia for others.

I'm half white (but look full white) and have only been followed once in my whole life (I was dressed in rags tbh). When I'm with my half brother who looks black, we are followed at every store. That being said, his demeanor is pretty suspicious. He puts his hood up, hands in pockets, and hunches over. He likes to look at nicer stuff like watches too. He's autistic but to any security guard he looks like a guy trying to shoplift. It's a shame.

I'm a white male, between 40 and 50, and out of 100 applications I've received maybe 20 replies by e-mail and 1 reply by phone. That leaves 79 non responses. \nThat's the way things are today. Dear video maker , it's nothing new in your life in Canada. Even people around the world including local people and local students are doing same . And it's nothing new to travel 2 or 3 hours in bus . People who stays in USA from ages are travelling same in car . Every students are expecting same life with them who are living in foreign from ages . Those people might had struggled more . Student has to understand before going on Student visa that with situations rather than keeping intrest in how to make money. 99 % students are interested in only money from day one .But foreign governments think that you have shown your financial documents, are enough for you to survive there even if you have no Job . And it's depends on the country, in which country you have gone and what is your qualification. If students go to UK or USA , thay might make little more money comparing to Canada, Australia or New Zealand. All students should understand before going to any country that only in USA AND UK country are the best to earn money and getting out money from there to india. Otherwise except these two countries none country is there in the world that you can make money there and send maximum money to india. Except these two countries other countries have made situation that whatever you earn there , you will have to spend in that country only. You can't save money to india for living good life in India. And it is good and thankful those countries where person after 18 years has go for job rather than being dependent on parents. And working in bakery with standing whole hours during job is not a new in those English country. They don't force to do that by law . This job is kind of that. Person has to understand job profile before joining the job . By English country law before you start job they will call you for induction and will explain what job you have to do . Life person is happy for that job , he / she can join the job . I think specially students has to look into positive things which in India students are not doing and thay have to do there in foreign countries. I am not trolling you but look into students life where local students in foreign are living and same. If you think this is struggling life then I can say this is not struggling life , students has to think first if they have gone for study or making money from first day. If you are complaining than my suggestion is that look into positive things and if you are just informing that it's good. Good luck

Trust me the only reason I would never move to Canada would be coz of Punjabi’s. Solution is to use these people and figure out how they will help this county in the next 30 years, not tomorrow. Look at how Irish, Ukrainian, Chinese, Italian etc.. came as first gen immigrants (to this native land). Cold.. lost.. try to use their wits to survive in a colonial economy. That second generation built what we have now. Immigration is a god damn economical strategy man... Issue with homelessness, has nothing to do with immigration. Homelessness is related to addiction and mental health. Most immigrants don't suffer from homelessness because they have relatives that look after each other. 3rd generation+ Canadians (all races) lack that.. if you're 18 you are own your own, thats where that issue is with homelessness.

I used to live in Brampton and this is the city where I first landed. No hatred for the city but people have ruined it. I'm a brown guy myself so I can't be racist against my own people and tbh, some of the best people I know in Canada are Sikhs but even they accept the fact that there is a large number of bad apples in their community. Sikhs have played a major part in both positive and negative way, to make and break this city.\n\nInsurance scams in Brampton cost their citizens to pay one of the highest premiums in the country. Generally, drivers in Brampton have no fuckin' idea how to drive because the licences were literally bought. \n\nA large number of people of our brown community always hell bent on abusing the system, wherever they go. We bring the same back home mindset here in Canada rather follow the system. \n\nThe only thing mostly brown community is focused on is how to make money and that's all. Don't try to learn the language, don't like to mix with people, don't care about the laws or anything. They only like to have nice big houses, show off their leased fancy cars and that's all.\n\nI left this city for good and don't regret my decision at all when I see numerous videos about the bad situation in Brampton. I'd love to move back to Ontario but cannot live in this city anymore. One thing really pissed me off when I was there that most people expect every brown person to speak Punjabi and when I used to tell them that I don't speak or understand Punjabi, you could see the surprized looks on their face.

I use to work at grocery store or a supermarket my manager was Mexican but the owner is white and every time we clock in our manager would tell us “ look at everyone the same” some one that works with me in the store asked him what does that mean he responded with “ it means treat every one they way you wanna be treated”

It was Trudeau that made Canada look an easy place to come to and live in. Trudeau said Canadians will welcome you with open arms. The every day Canadian citizen did not say this and the majority do not think it. Trudeau lied.

I'm a US expat living in China. In china, you cannot get a green card. I leave every 60 days because I can only stay for up to 60 days, just to turn around and come right back that same day. Once i'm back in China, I need to register my address with the police, and update my resident card. To get a 60 day business visa here, I had to get a Chinese company send me an invite, then need it to get approved. The process was expensive. But I follow Chinese law, and respect it with everything that I am. This is China and this is there laws. So who is VICE to make a victim out of this person? Just a crock of shit. This guy can go to many many countries around the world. India, Indonesia, even China but from the looks of it, this guy could not handle China. Why does he absolutely need to settle in Canada or the USA and cry when they don't want him? Go mother fucker, go anyplace in the world you want, just go.

its not just a paradise in canada. it's a dangerous game too. crime has risen 25% up and so does unemployment. GTA isn't so ready to deal with sudden influx of newcomers. If you look at the statistics on ont.gov.ca its 100k every year, now it's 250k a year in Ontario. it's a open ground for theft, robberies, frauds, pollution, spreading bacteria and virus and bugs from another country, and more.

there is racism and prejudice everywhere. on every level no matter gender, race, religion, culture. etc. no matter where you go. but if these guys take a trip to any of those corrupted third world backwards countries they would see how good they really have it. us foolish americans canadians dont know how good we have it. we are living in the freest country nation and society ever seen in the history of the world. at least our country creates new laws every year to make our people feel safe. but other islamic countries continue following laws made in the 15th century. do you see and appreciate the difference.\n\nsure people will label you based off your skin tone and your demeanor. BUT WHY? because they have had bad history with those that look just like you. i have had REALLY REALLY bad experiences with asians in everything. so i naturally stay away from all asians and i do not trust them. HOWEVER, i feel when foreigners come to this country they ruin it for the rest of the citizens that are of similar foriegn race eventhough they were born there. WE NEED TO PUT OUR NATIONS CULTURES first. and thats what we have to teach everyone. we put our canada america pride priority and whatever culture we came from LAST. THATS WHY its best we learn to fix our people in a whole in our country before bringing in anymore foreigners who do not respect our nation. lets stop third world immigration and work on making our country great again. so we can stop all this crime in our neighborhoods. because it hinders our progress. once every race color ethnicity of people are acting right then we will have no prejudice based off color or even gender because everyone is giving everyone respect. but because CRIME IS HIGH in all foreign races, and we continue to disrespect eachother. nobody feels safe anymore. whether your light skinned white or black.

I’m always scared to get accused of shoplifting, not because I’m black but just because I take ages to look at 1 article. I can stay more then 1 hour in the store. I usually do every aisle even the ones that don’t concern me like the baby section. I just like to see what is new, what is available. \nI live in a country where shoplifting is not really an issue, so I’m used to doing what I want in the shops. I went on holiday in the US and completely forgot that I was not home. I went to target and didn’t take a basket as I was suppose to only buy 1 thing. When I picked up more then 5 articles I put a few in my pocket. It’s only when I got to the cashier that I was like “ I’m crazy this is not my country “. Good thing nothing happened. \nAlso I’m a day dreamer so I always look suspicious in shops.

I wish it was talked about more, seeing Trudeau's beautiful tweets most people run up to Canada expecting that they will be welcome to open arms, the reality is that 70-80 will be deported. It is sad for every one especially the people that really needs asylum. It is so sad that we live in such an unequal world. I really blame it a lot on Trudeau, be strong and honest mate instead of a wet lettuce that lies to look compassionate.

These people come here looking for a handout.Taking on these people put a finacial burden on every other Canadien living here.\nThey take away jobs,homes and space.Trudeau gave the false narrative that we are accepting of everyone and now back pedals when his job is at risk with fed up Canadians.These people dont care about our LAWS and culture they care about their own.Throw them all out of Canada.They are making things here worse and not even remotly better for that matter.
