As a western Canadian- hows it feel Justin- thats how you have treated us for 9 years. Bend over Ontario and Quebec, I kinda think it looks good on you. If we had our parliament in this probably would have been avoided, but thanks to the Liberals our Premiers have had to do the work.

the united states allows the flow of drugs into our nation and then we blame other nations for the problem we create and prop up. the cia has a long history of drug running. the war on drugs is literally a way to aide and abet cartels? why is it the cartels have us military hardware? americans love using drugs, thats just the simple truth. and now trump is doing everything in his power to allow the large corporations to increase their prices for their goods with these tariffs. its why his first term added 8 trillion to the debt and he is scheduled to add even more this time in 4 years. trump caused the inflation to help the super wealthy and corporations. and now he is doing it again. and americans are too stupid to realize it.

One thing, Canada taxes US imports, Mexico taxes US imports, US doesn’t tax them at all, is this a good deal for the US?
2025-03-04 0
We’ll buy their oil and gas in Europe. Trump has made it clear, he only wants to do business with dictators. We don’t want anything to do with US goods and services. We know Canada stands by its allies.
2025-03-04 0
ooooooo 150 billion worth of goods. The US is shaking rn hahahahaha
2025-03-04 0
@kayingalls6095\n0 seconds ago\nYou just don’t do this to your neighbors. This is not good for either side and how can you put such a divide between us. If you think this is another means of making us the 51 st state it’s not gonna work. You are not God nor a King and we will not bend to your needs.

Awesome!! GO CANADA!! How you Americans voted for this convicted felon is mind boggling!! This is who you want to represent you on the world stage. You've PISSED us off!! No more American goods, no more American vacations,?
2025-03-04 0
This prez, and the one before him, aligned themselves with a Zionist and now a dictator while stabbing their neighbour and ally in the back! It's not looking good for the US right now, but we're praying for you all my friends. ??✌️????
2025-03-04 0
We are selling out...taking our money and going home, eh?\nWe are boycotting anything below the 49th for good.?\nWe do not take kindly to narcissistic, felonous, lying, theieving, land-grabbing , classless bullies threatening and insulting us and tearing apart the decades of time and work it took to create NAFDA. ?(Do you know what that is? ?).\nWe are...however, still friends with Mexico!\n??????

Stupid US government.\nStupid voters.\nTo think that tariffs are good for the American economy.\nGood for American workers and consumers...
2025-03-04 0
Donald probably hasn't stepped foot in a grocery store in his life. The MASSIVE inflation on commercial goods is a TAX disguised as a tariff. He knows it'll cost Americans. \n\nHowever, moment millions of people in the US begin losing jobs and begin rioting, he may pay attention.\nHow Americans aren't protesting in the streets right now is mind boggling to me.
2025-03-04 0
Isn’t this the same guy that froze the bank accounts of his own people for protesting? Trump is charging them the same thing they have always charged us. I’m good with that.
2025-03-04 0
It’s just one big scheme for the Bro/Oligarchs to make money while destroying the US and World Economy. They are all betting the short today while everything crashes.\nUnfortunately the American People and their lively hoods are all being held hostage by THIS Pathologic CRIMINAL !! Good luck Canada- Every Country should freeze this maniac out and Not do business with him!!!

2025-03-04 0
Trump is burning down America!!!\n\nThe WORLD hates us!\n\nTrump must GO for the good of the planet!!
2025-03-04 0
American goods account for 25% of Canada economy while theirs is only 5% for us Americans. We’ll be fine, AMERICA first no more handouts time to pay up.
2025-03-04 0
So this will only hurt the Americans ?!? Thanks for feeling sorry for us. It shouldn’t affect you then. Good for you. I never realized we relied on Canada for everything to survive. This is crazy.? ?
2025-03-04 0
We cannot trust or believe in what Trump Admin says to us Americans. Please people this is not good for us to be moving this direction. We don't have time on our side here to wait while half of our country blindly follows Trump off the cliff as he plays his tune and yall skip to the music with eyes n ears closed to anything else. I don't want to go down with all of you!
2025-03-04 0
We have been boycitting US goods a month ago, Canadians are in for the fight. Elbows out
2025-03-04 0
To Americans in the comments saying they stand with us: Thank you, but your actions are more effective than a Youtube comment. Contact your local congressperson and make your view on this matter abundantly clear. The only ones who can stop Trump's lunacy are the American people themselves. I don't care if you voted or him or not, support most of what he says, or none of it, you can't support something like this which only hurts both of us, and you should not support your leader becomng Putin's favourite new 'pet.' \n\nGet your heads out of the clouds, look at a map and realize that we've always been right there, a good neighbour that never gives your trouble. Let's be friends again.
2025-03-04 0
Canada already has massive tariffs on US goods.
2025-03-04 0
I am sickened by the actions of my fellow Americans. This is what the half of America that voted for this deserves but the rest of us will also suffer for their willful ignorance. Good on Canada, Mexico, China, and every other country that values their people over the pockets of billionaires. Nasty, nasty work by the US.
2025-03-04 0
FU Diaper Donnie - good thing your big mac sauce spurting megacolon can provide fertilizer to the US farmers you are screwing!
2025-03-04 0
We in the EU should stand by Canada and offer whatever support is necessary, including financial grants if needed. We should also match Canada by imposing our own 25% tariffs on the same goods and services, acting as a force multiplier. If the ‘Mango Mussolini’ refuses to listen to reason, he must feel the consequences of these actions. Hang in there, Canada! You are an incredible tough people and while your country is mentally prepared for this trade war, the US have not given it a single thought… they will be surprised and the madman will fold
2025-03-04 0
Not personel just buisness. No we are not. We are trying to get the tyrant (putin to the table) EU is weak and we are the only ones who can solve this war. Yet NONE of you even tried while Biden was in office. This will enable us to produce these goods at home and you as well. No need to import export everything. You will come out well too. Its the game you all are playing.
2025-03-04 0
Such a good and decent head of their Country! I wish we had that kind of decency in the US.
2025-03-04 0
We Canadians are suckers if we're giving billions more to Ukraine. Trudeau needs to go now. As for the tariff, I think we need to strike back hard, and continue the boycott of US goods. If we could, would be great do cut off all energy going to the States, but thanks to Trudeau, we don't have cross country pipelines to do that. BTW, Canada is not responsible for what comes into your country, we're responsible to keep things out we don't want in. That's the way these things are supposed to work, we're not East Berlin.
2025-03-04 0
The reality is: the US has reached a record high trade deficit with Canada. This deficit has grown steadily since 1976 (today it is just shy of $100 billion - meaning the US purchases $100 billion more worth of goods from Canada than Canada does from the US). The US imposing tariffs on Canada is a tactic to incentivize US companies who import goods from Canada to move manufacturing/production sourcing back to American soil. This promotes investment and expansion into the US economy. It will also incentivize Canada to commit to investing in the US economy. This would be a negotiation move by Trudeau: we (Canada) will commit to purchasing $25 billion (for example) dollars more of goods from the US if you agree to reduce the tariffs you've imposed on us to blank (maybe 5%). This is likely the end goal Trump is aiming for in the long run.
2025-03-04 0
Lmao ??? you people are nuts... Canada has higher tariffs on US goods.
2025-03-04 0
Price is going up. Inflation is going to surge. GDP is dropping. Interest rate can’t be cut…. No good for anyone except for the billionaires. US is losing its allies and friends!
2025-03-04 0
This is all non sense none of the nation's leaders make sense. The tariffs will be paid by the consumers in all the countries. So basically yall raised the prices of all goods in the US, Canada, Mexico & China and the residents will pay or go without products they need & rely on. ?
2025-03-04 0
This is neither here nor there to Americans but the Canadians will not forget this in a hurry. They are going to boycott American goods of their own free will. The result is the US will have lost market share in Canada well after this tariff spat is over.
2025-03-04 0
The problem is that the US has the DUMBEST people on the planet so, good luck with that, they won't hear a single bad word against they're Orange God-King Cult Leader.
2025-03-04 0
I wish we here in US have 1/10000000000 a character of a president like this man. Good for you Canada
2025-03-04 0
Please, join the EU. We need leaders like Trudeau and your goods can be sold here as well. Let's boycott the US.
2025-03-04 0
So proud of Justin and proud to be Canadian. I no longer purchase American goods, will not buy from American stores, and will not travel to the US. ?????
2025-03-04 0
Canada will be implementing 25% tariffs against $155 billion worth of American goods, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said in a press conference Tuesday. \n \nSpeaking from Ottawa, Trudeau said there was “absolutely no justification or need whatsoever” for the tariffs imposed by the US on Canada, which went into effect today. \n \nThe prime minister explained that $30 billion worth of US goods would see tariffs immediately, while the remaining $125 billion worth of goods would see tariffs in 21 days. \n \nTrudeau added that Canada will file claims at the World Trade Organization, but in the meantime, “our tariffs will remain in place until the US tariffs are withdrawn and not a moment sooner.” \n \nThe prime minister also again hit back against US assertions about Canada being unwilling to help in the fight against illegal fentanyl. \n \nHe said the legal pretext Trump presented for the justification of the tariffs —“that Canada is apparently unwilling to help in the fight against illegal fentanyl” — is “totally false.”

Very good summary. I will add that our I know you wanted to be concise and you nailed it. For anyone who is curious about how our politics make everything worse for us federally, let me explain it in a short time.\n\nTrudeau as of the day of this video, March 3, 2025, is STILL the PM. He said he WOULD resign once a new leader was picked through a democratic process. Right now, he's basically just doing photo ops in Ukraine, UK and anywhere else on our dime because Parliament is prorogued and the party in power, Liberal, is having a leadership race. So, while he may resign within the week once that leadership race is done, he's still technically in charge.\n\nWhat makes that race and the PM's prorogation so bad is that we're in the middle of a crisis - several actually - caused in part directly by Trudeau and his Liberals (and the NDP supporting them). The latest would be Trump's tariffs starting today, March 4, 2025. Trudeau always disappears during a crisis, leaving us to fend for ourselves - (1) COVID, he was at the cottage using every excuse not to be accountable for anything or using unconstitutional powers to crush a protest he didn't know how to handle, (2) Chinese spies, he's ignoring our intelligence service, (3) federal worker strike, he's in NYC at some gala.... I could go on but there's a reason we're hurting so bad.\n\nWe have zero federal leadership, and a federal government that makes things worse for us with things like: over-regulation, subsidizing media to keep us misinformed, nerfing select natural resource sectors but favoring others (oil and gas suffer, while coal is fine... probably because we sell it to China, but I digress), letting criminal out of jail, uncontrolled immigration, passing policies like the FHSA that drive home prices higher and higher, and of course, more and more taxes. I could go on about the billions in taxpayers' money the government blows - it's like a black hole - or the fact that MPs keep getting raises - April 1 is their fifth since COVID - and most federal and government employees are all getting raises at a time when the rest of us are learning to get by with less and less because we're taxed so much and housing, groceries, etc. are so unaffordable.\n\nI have applied for US citizenship. I want to stick around to fix Canada, but I think it's too far gone. We have too many socialists/communists in power and they're not getting voted out any time soon. It's been fun Canada, it's been fun.

hi Joyce, good content. kindly give us pathways for IT

We have maintained a high level standard of living, when by all rights we should not have it. Many want to blame government, but one part of the problem is an over reliance as an exporter of raw natural resources and a reliance on generally a single market (USA) for our goods. Interestingly enough the problems have been reinforced by governments of every type. What annoys me most is that these issues have been known for a long time, and the various governments have been scared to do anything about it. And they never took Sir Donald's words seriously - either about the tarriffs or statehood. I have heard zero from any level of government looking for new markets for our goods, yet they have had since November to do something. Going to be a stressful ride for many of us. I am recently retired and wonder if I should be worred.

All joking aside, Canada has been able to form a symbiotic relationship of mutual benefit with the United States since even before NAFTA 1. But.......... right now it is almost like a 51st state and I do not mean that in a joking way. US states are always competing with each other, but what prevents things like, oh say the American Civil war from happening is the Federal apparatus keeps them in line for the good of the empire as a whole. \n\n If Canada is like a 51st state, then it is competing with the other 50 states in a way that all 50 of them are going to get upset about. So either the states complain, or you treat Canada as an economic competitor. Mexico being behind the United States and Canada is what makes it a good candidate for a symbiotic relationship. For all its problems, Mexico has a Christian population (with some indigenous traits) that goes well with America. Their nations different economic status means we can support them and they can support us doing different things for countries of different development stages.\n\nCanada being so similar to the United States will want that as well and will never outbid the United States. Again this is seen as a hostile economic competitor. \n\nIts not Canada or Americas fault. After 2007 and the lies about fanny and Freddie, leman bros, mortgage backed security's, and a cash shortage that was not real. How was it real if the offshore exchanges did nothing? 2007 was not financial in origin it was our global monetary system seizing up. To say Wall Street greed and MBSs did it would be like saying a single drop of cement turned the ocean to cement.\n\nBut something did. Something turned the market from liquid to concrete, it happened in France decades before......\nFinancially packaged items could no longer be priced or traded.

As a Canadian it looks good on USA yOUR PRESIDENT HAS THREATENED US OUR SOVEREIGNTY AND DISRESPECTED OUR PM. IF ONLY WE CAN STOP AMERICANS FROM COMING HERE... WERE SO DONE WITH TRUMPS BS... YOUR DESTROYING YOUR OWN COUNTRY

Canada needs to stop living beyond its means. Get rid of un-necessary ministries, involvements in private sector that isn't mandated. A Canadian DOGE would be good too, to look line by line to get rid of waste, abuse, corruption. Stop electing the Liberals which like the US Democrats just spend the public money to buy votes like a drunken sailor.

Good! These endless \nforeigners coming into the US illegally cannot continue!
2025-03-01 0
3:16 why do we have to care so much for the opportunities of foreigners? They have infiltrated our government and weaponized our care for them against us. Canadians are dying over it, being forced to forfeit our taxes AND healthcare AND police protection AND housing AND cost of living. they don't care for us at all. They have no care about our opportunities they only make demands. All they contribute to is the natural GDP of their being here. They think coming here to replace us makes them good people, and we should appreciate them for giving us all of this diversity. it's madness and half of my family died over it the past few years. please make them leave. Stop letting them in and get them out of our government.

we have a proplem and they are going to make our own country worse , they have no money or any means to help us , they are looking to take from us .... they have nothing only boots and clothing ... this is not good

Cracking down on criminals is good but they slready know who the criminals that have been in the US is what mèds to be dealt with, along with thier foreign associates. Over all this would be a good thing BUT making Everyone into a criminal is a bad thing. They know enough to see and separate the 2. Groups but don't want to or only want to do the minimum sort thingßout. \n* more power and guidance to those who are doing things righteously rather than bullying power flexing.

I've seen a program to get citizenship. Join the US military. What too good for it? You get free housing and food. They all look like military age males. Don't worry they take females as well.
