As a Dutch European who was going on holiday to the States which i cancelled and re-booked to Canada ( and so did my travel companions ) i do stand with Canada and would rather spend my money there now ( the least i can do for what they did for us, no matter how little, every little bit helps ) Sorry to the good Americans, but i will not spend one cent in America or on\n American goods for as long as that Dictator is in power. I find it so disturbing that I’m gonna say this if JD Vance little man JD Vance, the guy who called himself he was in the battlefield, but he wasn’t in no battle. Excellent speech! I believe that all US Tarif affected countries and regions should seek a closer economic cooperation. The world is much bigger than the US and I'm confident that there are other opportunities to be found. By the way, I watched an interview with Chrystia Freeland this morning. She had an interesting suggestion: put 100% Tarifs on Tesla cars. Excellent suggestion that caries a strong message the US government!

I'm a canadian who usually agrees with Trump but in this case I feel like this makes no sense. Not sure exactly why Trump is doing all of this but deteriorating relations between us and impacting our economies in such a way makes no sense to me. The stock market is plummeting, jobs on both sides are at risk, prices on both sides of the border will go up. Btw my job won't be affected by these tariffs so i'm not speaking out of anger or fear for my job.

As a disabled US Veteran I did NOT vote for this administration. I do not want these tarrifs. And I feel sad for our country. This is not what our country stands for. This isn't our agenda. Is there no one at CNN who can translate French? Really? I'm American, and I'm hoping Trudeau announces that he's making trade deals with Europe (and even China) that cut us out. Betraying our allies should never be incentvised. I'm even hoping they cut off our oil, which WILL jack gas prices, since our refineries in the Midwest are only deisgned to process Canadian crude. And the truth is that the reason for the tariffs is that Trump has direct control over them, and can probably have Elon do something with the revenue that couldn't be done with normal taxes.
